A hidden gem, this place has been hiding in plain site!!!! I loved Rice Paper, and if you enjoy Vietnamese food you have to check this place out. I came here with friends on a Tuesday evening around 630. It wasn't very busy and there was parking around back. Indoor and outdoor seating is available here. Lots of cool decor on the walls and ceilings here, with a bar area right in the middle. My friends and I all got spring rolls and they at not your typical spring rolls. These were huge and came in a pair. I tried the Miss Piggy spring rolls and really enjoyed them. For my entree I tried the Tofu and Shiitake Mushroom Banh Mi with garlic fries. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Another neighborhood place we ordered from a few times during the COVID year but only tried it in person last week! Food was excellent, especially the salad rolls. My kid loved the filet mignon pho and the Thai iced tea. The garlic fries were surprisingly good especially the spicy aioli. Rice Paper has very tasty vegan options on their menu which are clearly marked vegan. The Sunshine fresh spring roll was really yummy. I especially liked the crunch from the tempura asparagus. Went to Rice Paper on 7th last week with a group of four friends. I tried the spicy Asian fresh spring rolls (Tom Chien Va Cua), lemongrass chicken, and a sake bomb for drinks. For dessert, we had the triple fudge topped with green mango slices, which was really good. My orders came out right on time, though my friends who ordered later did have to wait quite a bit longer. I love the pho here! The broth is super good, and we appreciate the half-off pho happy hour on Sundays. Service is friendly. The only issue I've had is that the parking is hard to get into and there's not a lot of room at this specific location, but I would just suggest you avoid the rush times if you're picky about parking. There was a long line outside but they were able to get everyone in and seated within a reasonable amount of time- the wait staff was nice and we were taken care of quickly. The grilled pork bahn mi is a whopping $16 but it did come with a side of fries. I rather just have the sandwich on its own and pay less. It wasn't huge either but the quality and flavor were on point! The lemon grass chicken was my favorite. Very good chicken and tons of bright flavors! Our least favorite dish...surprisingly the pho! The spring rolls tasted good at first but then I bit onto some hard bits which was unpleasant. Not a lot of service from anyone. The pho broth was okay, lacked a bit of flavor/spice but wasn't horrible. Some of the beef tasted good, but I noticed some pieces were unpleasant to chew and I spit a bit out. Overall, I probably would not come back here, I paid $16 for a small bowl of pho that wasn't that great. Shaking Beef, and crispy tofu are my two go tos when we get rice paper. Shaking beef is great as a to go dish, the crispy tofu isn't crispy by the time you get it home but it's still delicious. Have eaten in once and service was good. Smaller building and parking is tight so we prefer to get take out. Overall it never disappoints! read more

It's such an interesting place. Not a typical Vietnamese restaurant as the bar is such a centerpiece. And I didn't see another Vietnamese looking person so that says a lot. I would characterize these spring rolls as almost burrito-like given the girth. I tried two, and I could not finish the second, because it was so filling. The ones I tried: Phat Buddha - the cream cheese is a super odd filling for a spring roll and did not combine all too well with the peanut sauce as the textures seemed too similar. Typical spring rolls don't have that kind of texture inside so I was thrown off. The mango did not add any sweetness or tartness or added texture. I would probably recommend they use a green mango to make it stand out. 4 stars. Enlighten me - now that hit the spot. Great combo of spice and texture and paired nicely with the peanut sauce. I would go here just for that. 5 stars. Overall, a little more pricey for typical spring rolls but these are far from typical. Definitely worth a try but get out of expecting a very Vietnamese place. read more
