Such a good time. Staff was great. Drinks was good. Overall a fun time for adults with great arcade games. Plenty of arcade games and I like the indoor and outdoor

Pretty cute vibe and friendly staff. Delicious and reasonably priced cocktails. It gives more of a club vibe than arcade bar. LOVED the music as well (I'm into EDM - mostly various house music genres and techno and the nights I went had a lot of this).

Cool little video game arcade and pinball spot that serves alcohol, why not? Place isn't luxurious or nothing fancy but this place reminds me of Melrose in California with their cool graffiti art design but this place doesn't really have much room or seated areas. Parking is horrible here so check out this place on the weekdays or non peak hours.

why is hi score happy hour gone smh.... got it 2 weeks ago.... fly high Anyways Cobra is still fun, plenty of diverse games to play (I still miss Terminator but love DDR and ninja turtles) and the workers were nice and gave us extra tokens when we ran out. good music after 9pm depending on who is DJ-ing (DJ Javin you have my full support)

An absolute neat bar to go to. We stumbled upon it while walking around downtown and I'm glad we did. The staff wasn't pushy and we were able to enjoy games (which they have some fun ones that operate well). The music and overall vibes were good. If you're looking for a unique place to have a few drinks and play some games rather than a regular bar than I recommend taking a visit to here!

Cool spot to come early and start a night out. Hang out, play retro video games, party shot specials. We got there early enough on a a Friday before the crowd came in so it was spacious, cool and chill. First time I've been there. I usually pass by at some point in the night and the crowd is crazy, line wraps around the building, so never stopped by. I'd come back.

Every time I go here the music is popping and the drinks are flowing. My birthday was no exception. Though the drinks are about $10 a pop, I enjoyed my birthday. They have a Mexican Candy shot which was pretty good and a purple concoction (sorry forgot the name). Everyone was friendly and the staff was speedy. DJ took requests and played it for free and almost instantly. Next door they have a place called Hi Fi that is low key but equally as as fun. Great people & drinks! If you get hungry there is a food truck right in front that is excellent! 10/10. Even the security is chill. Just FYI YES, they are gay friendly. Highly recommend both places!

Ask the Community - Cobra Arcade Bar

I have a bunch of tokens from the Tucson location. Am I able to use them here at the Phoenix location?

I don't see why not. You should call ahead and ask them that way you don't take a bunch of tokens and have to carry them around.

    Does this place have food?

No they don't. However you'll see food trucks near by and some other bars next door and on the block that serves fantastic food!

Is it pretty easy to socialize and meet people? What is the age range?

Not really, this place is constantly packed like a sardine can. Loud, nightclub style. Age range is 21-25ish.

    21+ or 18+?

    21 +

Is this place still open? I heard it was closing down.

As of 7/19 they are still open have not heard they are closing

If we were to come out on a Saturday afternoon to check out all your vintage games are we able to bring our 10 yr old son? We'd love to show him the games we liked as kids!?

I'm pretty sure you can as long as your son stays with you as they so sell alcohol there. My friend brought her kids BEFORE 6p. They also have events where they bring the video games outside. Check their facebook page for all events!

I'm new to the Tempe/Phoenix area. Is this place good for Adult birthdays? Do I need to make a reservation?

Hi Erin! Our spot was made for adult birthdays! We don't take reservations, it's first come first serve. We have an area with tables to make a home base for your group.…

How much does it cost to rent for birthday party/private event, before 4pm (opening hours)?

Hi Sam, Thank you for your interest in Cobra Arcade Bar. The minimum spend requirement to host an event prior to normal operating hours is $750 in drink and game play before tax and gratuity. Our event team is available to assist you with further…

Is the token machine cash only?

    Yes

What's the name of the taco truck you guys have outside? Do they have their own location? Those tacos were bomb!

The taco stand outside is Baja Roots. They don't have their own location but they are at Cobra several days a week every week. You can follow them on Instagram @bajarootsaz we LOVE them!

Is there a cover on the weekends?

Nope! Usually a long line, but it can move quick! Also, you have to purchase game tokens to play any of the games, but they have token machines 💁🏽

The only reason I didn't give this updated review a 5-I ordered the banh mi sando and the sandwich was so dry. Chicken was dry. The cilantro wasn't chopped I had to pick out long stems. Also I got the AZ frosè and the rosemary syrup was just way too pungent to enjoy the whole beverage. I wished it had been more balanced. Especially when the French fries are heavily seasoned with rosemary--a bit too much.

Carry On actually called me to confirm our "tickets," which I thought was really cute. The whole experience kind of started a couple of days before our actual "departure time." They also reminded us to park in the Renaissance Square parking garage under Wren & Wolf, and they were able to validate our parking for three hours. We had to go to Wren & Wolf first to pick up our Carry On tickets. We got there early, and they let us relax in their couch area while we waited for our departure time. The walk from the Renaissance Square parking garage to Wren & Wolf was easy. You just follow the signs, and the whole walk is inside the building, which was perfect because it was so hot outside. While we were waiting, we could order drinks and chill, just like being in an airport lounge. When it was time for departure, we walked outside the building, and Carry On was right around the corner. You won't miss it because you'll see the Carry On Air flight schedule above the gate door. Right on time, we were greeted by a friendly flight attendant. Once we walked into the cabin, it really felt like we were inside a first-class flight lounge. Our flight attendant served us drinks right after we sat down, and we also ordered more cocktails and snacks from their menu. The captain spoke to us over the speaker, just like on a real flight. As we took off, we could even feel the seats moving. Looking out the "window," we saw buildings, clouds surrounding us, and even experienced turbulence I'm not going to tell you too much because I don't want to ruin the experience. I'll let you try it for yourself. I think it's definitely worth giving it a try. At least for us, we loved it.

What an unexpectedly fun night!…read more I honestly had no idea what I was walking into when a friend told me I had to check out Bikini Lounge because they know I'm drawn to all things eclectic. They were absolutely right. From the moment the friendly bouncer smiled and said, "Step right on in," I was hooked. Yoooow!! The first DJ was incredible. He was spinning all kinds of trip-hop, indie, electronic, and remix-style tracks that had everybody partyin'. It wasn't your typical dance music, but every song seemed to connect with somebody in the room. The crowd was incredibly diverse, and it was so much fun watching people of every age and style dancing and nobody cared. The second DJ, a younger woman, shifted the vibe a bit and leaned more toward a younger crowd. It wasn't quite my style, so I took that opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and do what I apparently do best... chat with complete strangers. I'm a talker, and thankfully they seemed just as happy to strike up a conversation. This isn't some fancy cocktail lounge, and that's exactly the point. It's authentic. There were people dancing at the bar, grooving in their booths, bouncing in their seats, and filling the dance floor with great energy. I came by myself, and within minutes a cool group of strangers invited me to squeeze into their booth like we'd all come together. That's the kind of place this is. At one point they even offered me a glass of beer from their pitcher. I politely declined (look at me making responsible life choices... sometimes), but then I realized almost everyone had pitchers! So I sauntered over to the bar. I did have to wait a bit; apparently chivalry doesn't extend to letting a woman cut the line, but once I reached the bartender, the service was fast and friendly. Every trip back to the bar was the same. No complaints there. As the night went on, the energy just kept building. Before I knew it, I was on the dance floor sweating, smiling, and dancing with complete strangers. After a while, I had to retreat to the patio just to catch my breath before heading back in for more. My ankles are still sore... and the glutes? Fuhgetabouttit! The best part of the night wasn't the music or even the drinks. It was the people. Every generation was represented. Every fashion style imaginable. Every personality. And somehow it all worked. There was this genuine sense of joy and community that you just don't find everywhere. If you're looking for polished and upscale, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want great music, a welcoming crowd, zero pretension, and one of those nights where you leave happier than you arrived... give Bikini Lounge a shot. I went in not knowing what to expect. I left wondering why I'd waited so long to go.

This is very cool joint with a dark feel too it. They have a basement bar which we ventured into and they also have an upstairs bar as well, so you can fit a lot of drunk People in there. It also features a lot of great art that fits really highlights the Mexican bar vibe. The waitress/bar tender/ agave expert was very welcoming and know a lot about their tequilas and mescal option. I love me some smokey mescal, I dont remember thet name of the drink but it had some kind of elote triple sec or something like that along with Mescal and it was quite tasty. Trust me I was in no state to remember ingredients but this is from my foggy memory. I also got a pick of the cool ice blocks that has an Agave inlay that they put in the tumbler with your drink. I will definitely be going back for their wide Mescal and tequila options. I didn't see food in the bar, but they have a food truck out front that smelled amazing, but sometimes I simply dont want to eat when there are plenty of drinks to be had. They do have Esquites, Tacos, Quesadillas, Mini Chimis, and loaded fries. I will have to do another review on the food when I am not out being a borracho. They do take reservations and host private parties which would make for one raucous Christmas party if you don't work at a Christ loving conservative company like me.
