He will check your ID and then you'll make your way through the walk in fridge. That will take you to a door that leads you to the speakeasy. When you think of a speakeasy, you think of dim lighting. Intimate. Quiet. This isn't that. On the weekends, Stardust turns into a casual club. There's a DJ, there's a dance floor, and there's pin ball. Not your run-of-the-mill speakeasy at all. So I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. For me, I think I would like it a lot more on a week day when it's a lot less congested.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service (4/5): Even with them being quite busy, the bartenders are quite efficient and attentive. Which makes things go through quickly, despite a line. Well done all-around. My only complaint? You pay on those little handheld devices which don't show you an itemized receipt. I had to ask for one. Food (N/A): They're owned by the same people as Ziggy's so you can wait for your food at Ziggy's and then bring it into Stardust. There are a few booths in Stardust so you can sit and eat. Ziggy's is pretty good pizza, so I recommend it. Drinks (3/5): When we're talking speakeasies, the expectation is elevated cocktails with an interested blend of flavors and ingredients. While Stardust has a cool menu, the cocktails are made quickly so the focus is on speed rather than quality. They're not bad per se, nor are the prices, but they're not speakeasy quality. I've tried four or five different ones on the menu. The creativity is there to a degree, but the execution isn't. While a bit critical since they're a speakeasy, overall, Stardust is a pretty cool spot. If you come right after a concert gets out at Van Buren, expect for there to be a long line. I'm planning to come back on a Tuesday. Why? Free pinball (normally it's a $1 per play) and specials on cheese pizza slices and beer. read more

7th spot of the evening. It was about 11:15pm on Saturday. We were able to walk in right away after ID check. There was no line. I've been here many times before so this place is just okay to me. I was already done drinking at this point but my friends said one last one so I had some pineapple drink with tajin around the cup. It was too sweet. If it's your first time, then you might enjoy it. Or, it may be your kinda vibe but it's not really mine. Definitely did not like the sticky floors at all. The entrance is cool and the light up dance floor is cool but everything else is whatevers. This is a place you come to for the ambiance and the activities. I have a blast every time I'm here, whether I'm dancing on the rainbow disco floor or enjoying some pinball. Weekend DJ nights here are my favorite. There's a lot of energy but the crowd isn't too young. Their cocktails are ok-- pretty sweet and a little basic. This bar was a little tough for me to find, but I eventually made it. It is located in and on the side of Ziggys Pizza. You can enter through Ziggys or do like I did and just enter through the patio. The place has a decent sized dining area and an outdoor patio where the smoker's go and where you will find some tables to dine at as well. They have a small private parking lot There is no bar seating and you will find pinball machines here, hence the name pinbar. I am really feeling the place's eclectic decorations and vibe. It has a color changing dance floor, a DJ booth, and is decorated in a Mars Attacks movie theme. It is dimly lit and has a lot of blacklight effects going on. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed them. They offer food, but it is from Ziggy's. They serve mostly wings, pizza and fries, but they also have salads and a couple of hoagies on the menu as well (don't tempt me with a good time). I ordered some Ziggy style wings and fries. It took about 8 minutes for me to get my food. It was fresh, hot and delcious. I really liked the wings seasoning. They were decent sized and very flavorful. What drew me to this place, however, was their drink selection. They have some awesome, tropical drinks. They were right up my alley. I was like a kid in a candy store and had a hard time choosing. I ultimately went with a Saguaro Slammer, a Pineapple Passion, and Starburst. They did not disappoint and were all so good. Picking a favorite one is like picking your favorite child....I just can't. They have happy hour from 5 to 7 on weekdays and run special nights everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday. Some of those nights include Motown on Mondays, Planet Her on Thursdays (Ladies drink 1/2 off) DJs on Friday and Saturday and Sessions Sundays. Came here just off the speakeasy part and it was lovely. The colored dance floor and pinball decor on the walls was unique and quirky. You can definitely tell this place has seen some good times. Security was funny and played some jokes on us. Our bartender left our tab open without confirming and then left as soon as her shift was over. When closing out my tab with a new bartender, there was some confusion on some charges but it got resolved. Very cool spot! We were so happy to come across this place! A speakeasy style pinball themed bar / restaurant attached to Ziggy's Pizza. You go through the kitchen doors to your right when you walk in and then through the cooler door to enter. This was on my travel itinerary to try, and I was super excited about their aesthetics, drinks, and food. First off this was insanely difficult to reach in the first place. After a combination of right turns I finally made it to this tiny parking lot. The lot was full of course and so after waiting 10 minutes for someone, anyone to leave, I was able to get ahold of an employee to ask them where the heck do I park. They said to park across the street or in a paid lot also across the street. I'm wearing heels and why would I pay when your parking is free? Inconvenient and just a mess. I usually stop here after enjoying a concert at the Van Buren in the same building. The bar was designed to have a cool speakeasy hidden entrance behind the refrigerator door. However, when they added a patio and the bar's popularity causes a line to form out front, the secret club feel is long gone. I enjoy playing a few pinball games and having a beer. But, if last night (Saturday night) was typical, most people are there to dance and only one other was playing pinball. The decor of the club is inspired by David Bowie and the 70s era. The dance floor lights up like in the movie Saturday Night Fever, combined with the pinball machines and 70s rock and roll images completes the look.
