Overall, my friend and I liked our visit. It's a pirate themed bar. Only thing we didn't like was that it's cashless, so everything must be card. You text to add yourself to the waitlist or ask the host in-person. Luckily they immedaitely had room for us, so no wait. If you do wait, there's The Grand's original bar you can hangout in. Once in, you pay $20 up front (drink mim) to apply to your drink tab later. These are represented as doubloons, each coin being $10. Inside, it's very detail oriented which my friend and I loved. For music, we heard stormy weather sounds like on a proper voyage, to Angel by Massive Attack which still fit the ambiance. Good stuff. Drinks were good. I liked my Banana Alexander, and loved my Coconaut. My friend liked her Zombie and her Ghostship Grog. We'll be back. Probably dressed as pirates. yup.

We came here about 9pm NYE and were the only ones in the back bar. You pay ahead $20pp and receive a token each worth $20. Basically it's just a drink minimum which is fine because the drinks are around this price. Ben and I agreed that all 3 cocktails we tried were awful. The Zombie tastes like rubbing alcohol. Oxacan Dead was very mezcal fwd. It might be better with more mint in it but we definitely didn't like it. Coconaut is like a very sweet dessert. It was good but way too sweet to drink all of it. I could have like 1/6 of it before it started making me sick. We thought they were going to switch out one of our first 2 drinks for the third one we tried since we hated them but they ended up just charging us for 3. We left them there and did not finish any of them. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because it's a cute pirate like interior. Come here and drink hard seltzers and enjoy the view.

My friend told me about this place back in September. Knowing it was new and a smaller place, we reached out for reservations as we had friends that were coming from further places so we wanted to be sure we would be sat. We got there at 7pm for our reservation and the hostesses were so kind. We didn't get sat until 7:15 as the last reservation was cleaning up. Wasn't an issue however as there was a bar outside of ghost ship. We got sat upstairs and the ambiance was so awesome. Yes it's small but the decor was on point and the servers were great. The drinks were fun and strong, there were little bites but not actual dinner food. The hummus was my favorite!

We stopped by to check this place out since we had never heard of it before. Not sure if it was because it's new or what but it was completely dead the whole time were there and it was a Saturday night. The place itself is definitely unique and I can appreciate the concept and the drinks we got were good. Not sure if I would visit again though.

The drinks are very good(they're expensive but you pay for the atmosphere as well) and the vibes of course are amazing. I do think the ordering via doubloons(gold coins) is a bit confusing. I would recommend for any pirate enthusiasts.

I will keep this simple..... Don't do it! Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. Don't waste your taste buds. $20 per person to get a seat - they give you 2 gold coins per person to "pay your tab" (which is a cute little touch). 4 of us went - we each ordered a different cocktail to try. We asked the waitress for non well alcohol. She basically said no. The drinks were $14 -$15 (we were willing to pay extra for top shelf). The drinks: trash - terrible - disgusting. I am convinced that whomever designed & tasted the drinks must have lost all their taste buds from Covid and never regained them. Of the 4 we ordered ... they went from bad to worse. We drank less than a 1/4 of each one (from taste testing). The waitress came by and asked if we were ready for more. We decided to walk the plank right on out of there. The bill came to $65....the waitress refused to let us use a coin to cover the $5. 6 coins worth $10 each. Then she wanted cash or a card to cover the $5 (and her tip) She said we could keep the other 2 coins for next time. She most definitely could not read the room. The decor is super cool, you feel like you are far away on an old pirate ship. 5 stars for the decor and ambiance 1 star for drinks --- they were wet. 2 stars for service --- she tried.

The place is really amazingly decorated and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The drinks are absolutely AMAZING. Grab a reservation soon - they're booking very far out already.

I wasn't sure what to expect when coming here/ I saw the reviews and assumed it would be very small. My boyfriend and I arrived around 6 and it was just us in there. We had an amazing waiter named Austin who helped us out. He was genuine and looked like he loved his job so much. The drinks were delicious. I ordered the banana Alexander which was a very sweet drink. My next one was Dark and Horny and that one had a nice tang to it. My boyfriend enjoyed it too and we really wish we had the playlist to the bar. It was the perfect mood music for the pirate ambiance that we could Bob our heads to. Wonderful stop. Heads up, they don't do reservations anymore, and the music does repeat every so often like thirty minutes. We both just walked in though without any trouble on a Sunday evening.

Come get a drink with my guy Leo!!

Very cool venue that will soon be one of the coolest in the downtown area. They've got a great cast providing the overall vibe, while fun surprises can be found around your next corner. If you're interested in a hidden treasure that is going to shock your expectation, then I'd highly recommend visiting. You may end up seeing some locals that have The Grand on their beaten path of most frequented crawls!!

Ghost ship looks amazing, And that's where it stops. The line in is atrocious and is a cluster to get in. It is sooooo hot in the bar, they need to install some A/C. The server is completely clueless. 2 times on the menu it says to "ask your server...about the Ghost Grog and beer selection. She had no clue about either and had to drag a bartender out from behind the bar to answer our questions. And I am not blaming the server, I am blaming management who obviously didn't train her properly. However, she is responsible for this mess up: 2 people in our party ordered the Coconaut and she wrote down Polka Dot and when of course she couldn't find a button in the computer that says Polka Dot, she had to come back and ask again what we wanted. Part of the problem is the techno music turned up to 11. Techno music in a ghost ship??? WTF? 2 of the drinks we ordered are drinks that are served straight up , but were not shaken enough and weren't chilled. Warm cocktails that are supposed to be chilled is gross. 2 people ordered beers and they were the lat thing to be brought to the table. How do beers in a bottle take longer than cocktails with 8 ingredients? Our waters had no ice , this ain't Europe, and the water was warm. Also, they were never refilled. So hot air, warm cocktails, warm water, who would ever come back to this shit show. We decided to try one more round before giving up. I ordered the first zombie and it came with no garnish and then 3 more zombies showed up for my friends and not only do they have garnish on their zombies, they were in different glasses. The 3 zombies that we ordered all tasted different. How is there zero quality control at a bar of this magnitude? We called the manager over and he said we could get a credit. Then some other dude said no, that's not happening. The finally gave us a credit and handed s out bill. This place is such a scam. On the $20 per person we had to pay up front, tax was charged on it. Then on the bill, tax was charged on that money AGAIN! The are double charging tax. When i pointed this out to the manager, he pulled cash out of his wallet and threw it at me and asked if we were even yet?? The WORST bar experience I've ever had in my life. Shit service from the host to the sever to the bartender to the managers

    Don't bother

We were hoping for a cool Undertow bar vibe with inventive drinks. I read the other reviews about the drinks but tried to keep an open mind. Decor was high school prom type pirate theme. It was ok, nothing mind blowing. Special effects were lights and a short video clip of a pirate captain on repeat. Drinks were awful, I mean AWFUL. The poor waitress talked me out of 5 choices, even describing one as 'the worst drink on the menu'. Sounded like she's heard a lot of complaints. I finally just got an old fashioned which can only be described as unfortunate. To add insult to injury, the $20 per person is taxed 4% on entry and another 4% on your bill. Doubt this will last long like the other attempts at bars in this spot.
