Coppers Blues is so cool and great to grab drinks as well as enjoy live music! I think I've gotten my boyfriend hooked on this place because every time we go out he wants to make a stop here lol. They have fun cocktails, delicious food, and the service is always really good! read more

After watching a show at Stand Up Live Phoenix, we stopped by the Copper Blues pub. It was honestly such a vibe and the music performance was absolutely incredible. Service was quick and the drinks were great. I absolutely love it here. We were able to sit right up at the bar without having to wait or have a reservation. The bartender was fabulous. She was very prompt with service. The menu has a wide variety of drinks and food. Highly recommend it. read more

Note that you can get your parking validated if you park in the parking structure below this restaurant. This place has a very dark atmosphere. I tried out their steak nachos and deviled eggs. This cost $36.12 which includes tax and tip. I do like that they give a lot of nachos but they just weren't very good. The deviled eggs were nice. Service could have been more attentive since I was there at a time where there wasn't enough people. read more

The music is top tier . I really enjoy love music from individuals with beautiful voices. This guy was amazing as you can see from the video. The strings were good, the food was great and the view was perfect if you snagged a spot by the open window area. The waitresses were attentive and it was a whole mood. You will for sure have a great time whether alone or with company. read more

This was a perfect spot/venue in Phoenix for me to attend an event alone at. The staff was professional and courteous. The bartenders and the servers were a blast and the food was delicious. The vibe was casual yet professional and I'm so grateful to have got to go to see Jeff Lewis here! Hopefully I'll be back soon! Thank you for a great night! read more

My mom and I had such a great dinner at Copper Blues! First off--the wings. Absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, and totally delicious. And the live music? Insane. The entertainer sounded just like Chris Stapleton, and he kept the whole place energized. Seriously, don't forget to tip your entertainer--this guy earned it! The drinks were super Instagram-worthy, and even my mocktail was surprisingly unique. Not your basic "just juice" situation--really flavorful and fun to sip on. Shoutout to the host, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. The interior and ambience are dope AF. They had the football game playing on a giant screen right by this really nice booth that faced the stage, which made the whole experience even better. The vibes were just immaculate. My only disappointment: not many gluten-free options when it came to food and especially desserts. I really wish they had more variety there. BUT overall, I'd still recommend this place. If I'm ever in town again, I'd 100% bring friends. And we felt so lucky to catch live music on a Monday night--total bonus! BTW: the fries are not gluten free! read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants with live music. I've been here probably a dozen times this year and really appreciate that they feature local cover bands and artists. It's always a fun atmosphere. They offer a good selection of beer, wine, and American cuisine (pizza, wings, salad, burgers). I also like that there is usually no cover charge since it's a restaurant/pub, though there are occasional cover charges for special events like New Year's Eve. The staff is very nice and attentive. Parking can be a challenge, as it's located in the CityScape development and the restaurant validates parking for up to two hours only. read more

Our family and I went to this location because Spelman and Morehouse send off for our children heading off to college next week or new, current students & alumni. We had wings, pizza, steak bites and water, complementary and drinks to purchase if you wanted something else or additional food items. Everything we tried we did like & would love to come back. The service and the waitresses were kind and friendly and kept checking to make sure we were good. I wanted anything to order. And they also do live music in the other section of the restaurant and we would love to come back to enjoy the additional services In addition, they have a camera area right before you enter in and you can email it or text the picture to yourself. read more

I've never been here but we were looking for a dinner location before the Lisa Lisa concert. It wasn't too bad until the band started playing then it got way too loud to have a decent conversation. The service was quick and our server was nice but if I'm being honest the food was mediocre for the price point. The drinks were mid too. We got a margarita that was overly sweet. I guess I was thinking I could get dinner but it is pretty much bar food and more appetizers like than dinner options. The wings were just ok but the nachos were pretty good. I guess it's ok place if you want to hang and listen to live music and just want to snack on appetizers. But I wouldn't choose this place as a dinner option. We didn't have much of a choice that night due to the concert the other places nearby were booked or had a long wait time and we wanted to go somewhere within walking distance of the venue and ended up here. read more

Copper Blues was such a fun spot and the perfect place to eat before heading to the comedy show. We had dinner at the restaurant beforehand and ordered the filet bites along with the Long Island iced tea that came out in a trash can our server brought it out and joked, "get ready to get trashed," which made the whole experience even more fun. The food and service were both great, and the atmosphere is such a cool place to hang out and enjoy the night. One tip, don't forget to get your parking ticket validated at the reception booth before you leave. Definitely a great spot for dinner, drinks, and a fun night out. read more

Relaxed sports bar type atmosphere. We were there on a Sunday night and they had live music. Very casual with a solid menu. Had burgers and fries and they were all good. Service was good (prompt, friendly). Great place to get a meal to let the traffic die down after a game at either Chase Field or Mortgage Match. read more

Had a fun night at Copper Blues! They validate parking if you park in the parking garage. The server and hostess were super friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were surprisingly really good! We ordered wings, shrimp, elote cauliflower and nachos. My favorite was the shrimp!! I feel like food is hit or miss at these places but we were all really happy with the drinks and appetizers we ordered. There was supposed to be a live band but they didn't start until around 9 this particular night and I guess they were supposed to start earlier. Either way the music was good, food and drinks were great and I would 100% visit again! read more

I think the overall 3.7 star rating is pretty spot on, but I'll give it a 4, since Yelp won't let you go in smaller increments. I've been wanting to try this chain for a while now and finally convinced myself to stop by after seeing some happy hour menu photos posted. Well, it was disappointing when I got there and had to ask for a happy hour menu, only to find it is waaaay smaller than the menu drink and food HH choices in previously posted photos. Only drinks on HH, no food and the selection wasn't even really that good. I sat at the bar and at least the bartender was very friendly and accommodating. Their normal menu lists all the beers they have, but doesn't give any description of what each one is. I mentioned this to the bartender and she offered to describe and help with anything I wanted. Still would be very annoying looking up each one on my phone if the bar was busy and a server didn't have the time to be as helpful. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and substituted the chips for French fries, which is also kind of annoying. A burger should always come with fries, not chips...it's obviously a tactic to upsell. The inside of the restaurant is very cool, with lots of various seating options. The layout has multiple tiers to the seating to help guests have a great view of the live entertainment. There wasn't any live music when I was there for happy hour and the place was very dead. Not really anything special during the happy hour timeframe, but probably worth checking out when there is an actual live band or comedian. read more

Wow!! This place was super cool and fun. Aaron Loveless is a fantastic singer and guitarist--a treat for sure. Food was great!! The fries were fire. I'd definitely order that again. This is a great place to come for a good variety of drinks and good live music. My favorite thing to get was the steak bites but when I came this last time I found out they're no longer on the menu. Fortunately, I heard a rumor that they might be coming back soon. I went with the wings tho slash time because there was apparently an event downtown and they were only offering a limited menu. The wings were delicious and messy. I would definitely get them again. The service was also quick and friendly at the bar. read more

Great time & good food! Although we had a lot of fun with live music and the food was really good the drinks were AWFUL. If you get anything other than a beer or a shot you won't even taste any alcohol. We actually sent a Gin & Tonic back and our waitress said "This is the third drink I've had to return" and she said she didn't want to return it because the person making the drinks was getting mad. Pretty sad when even the servers know how bad the drinks are. That said, we'll go back to enjoy the food and music but we're only getting shots or beer since it's pretty tough for even that bartender to mess up. Live and learn All in all we had fun and will try it again. read more

Went with a group of people from a convention. Told them I wanted a table with 7. Wasn't offered a table with 7 together because it was a VIP table. Was not told that there were other table options. While downtown, this is always a great place to go. It's very upbeat and right in the heart of the government and sports area in downtown Phoenix. First impression, nice casual place. Hostess weren't as friendly here, there were 3 standing in front but not sure which one we're going to help us to our reservation? Our server was super helpful and provided us with information about the restaurant and the comedy club. Ordered 2 drinks, didn't photo them, they weren't photo ready and didn't taste good either. The small plates were great, tuna was freshly cooked and the pork belly tacos were delicious with pickled elements, yum. Live music reminded me of a House of Blues in West Hollywood vibes, very fun. Small menu so don't expect a grand dinner. Overall, a good date night or happy hour with friends. read more

I went on a Thursday night for live band karaoke and had a blast, just watching, I didn't want to torture anyone with my singing. Everyone that went up was incredible. When I first got there a comedy show was letting out so it was super busy in the hallway, but the restaurant had room available. The service was great, the waitress was super attentive. We are out-of-towners and had tickets to Stand Up Live next door. Though we didn't know what to expect at Copper Blues, we were pleased once we stepped through the door. Ambiance was very nice. The night's musician was already on stage, he had a great set, we enjoyed his music selection & crowd play. Service was great; our server came around at the right times, food brought to the table promptly. Food and drinks were good--our food didn't knock our socks off but it was satisfying and the portions were generous. A place we'd come back to. read more

I checked this place out a couple days ago and got THREE beers and somehow my pending charges is $75. Idk what sketchy stuff is going on but I do not recommend. Their menu also states that adding steak to nachos was $5 on the menu, however when my friend was charged, it was $8 on the tab. Lastly, as a bartender, learn how to serve a beer. I shouldn't be just poured a beer and not have a proper head. This place stinks and I would not recommend AT ALL read more

This place is solid spot for a casual night out, deoending on what type of events and timing you go. I ordered the Pina Colada and lemon pepper wings, and both hit the spot. The wings had just the right amount of zest, and the drink was refreshingly balanced. The security guy upstairs, where it's connected to the comedy hall, was super friendly, which added to the bar/night club vibe. Just a heads up--the place can get busy, especially around the bathrooms, but it's worth it for the good food and drinks. read more

The pro's to Copper Blues is it is attached to the comedy club Stand Up Live, so you can eat and walk over to a show. It is on the second floor so the people watching is amazing. I would recommend sitting in the bar by the open windows (not in the summer! LOL). The food and drinks are very expensive and pretty mediocre. It seems like it is a pretty party place on most nights as well. If you want to be close to "dinner and a show" try it out. If you want a good meal try one of the many area restaurants and walk back to the show! read more

I arrived early, via the Light Rail, for the Standup Live comedy show. So I decided to have a snack. The Nachos were good. My server was slow, but friendly. So this was our first time here we were actually pregaming for Fluffy next door at Stand Up live. We asked for a table for 6 and we're immediately seated, we were still waiting on our other party but my husband and I had wanted to start with drinks and appetizer... great right? Not so much about 20 mins pass and we were finally able to flag down one of the girls that was just standing around chatting amongst themselves. When I asked who is our waitress I was given a snooty look and told I'll let someone know and they walked away. About another 10 mins roll by and a waitress came asked for our drinks and we ordered the pretzel bites. The remainder of our party showed and she was on top of it. The pretzels came out piping hot and were actually pretty good, the band was also good. We ordered our food my husband and I ordered the burger it was pretty good as well. My biggest complaint was the waitstaff. All these girls standing around talking no one cared that we were wanting to be served... I get our entire party wasn't there but we we had wanted to order and to be given attitude when asking for help was like wtf! The waitress who did finally help us was nice and she did stay on top of things but prior to that it was really crappy customer service! read more

My sister and I came into Copper Blues for a bite to eat before the Paramore concert. When we arrived it was relatively empty, just one other group in the bar area where we ate, and a few groups in the other dining area where the stage is. When we arrived there was a band playing, two men, and they excellent! Their performance and songs were what made the experience for us. I wish we had gotten there names, but we left them a tip before we left because they were that good. We had never been here before, and didn't have any expectations, we just wanted some drinks and a little food to share. We ended up arriving during happy hour, so drinks and appetizers were discounted! We ordered a couple cocktails, the hummus plate and a chicken quesadilla. The drinks were good, but the hummus plate was great!! So flavorful with all of the olives, tomatoes, cucumber and hummus to dip, it was soo good! The quesadilla was also better than I thought it would be. The only thing that was lacking was service, it took a little bit for the waitress to initially take our order. Copper Blues has a great vibe (especially on Thursdays during karaoke.) I'm not usually a big karaoke night girl, but at one point Copper Blues was voted "the best karaoke in Arizona" because of its stellar patrons and live band. The cocktails are solidly just okay (and a little overpriced,) but they're strong enough. Happy hour is 3pm - 6PM daily with $12 cocktails and $6 beers. Service is a little slow, and they often mess up my check because of the high turnover rate for the staff. The girls are pretty, and the atmosphere is popping, though, so I still give it 4 stars. read more
