Unfortunately this experience was not like our previous ones. After having a great dinner downstairs at Chico Malo we decided to have a few more drinks upstairs at copper blues. There were 3 of us, we each had 2 drinks in a 45 minute timeframe. My mom (visiting from out of town) pays the bill. Before we go, their live music begins to play and we love them so we decide to stay longer and order more drinks. Our waitress comes up to my mom and tells her due to the $10 tip on the previous bill it would not be beneficial for her to serve us & "it would help her" if we ordered from the bar. We were very confused on what exactly she was saying, so she clarified for us that because we didn't tip more she will not serve us. The vibe was killed. We were having a great time listening to music, celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, being out with my mom who's visiting, up until that moment. My mom instantly handed her $20 and apologized out of embarrassment (which if someone made your mom feel like this you could only imagine how I felt) The manager was very receptive of the feedback and because of the great experiences we've had in the past we will be back unfortunately its people like this who can ruin the reputation of a business. I understand tipping is a big debate right now, but I don't see how leaving a $10 tip on 2 rounds of drinks makes you feel the need to ruin someone's night. read more

Came here after the D-Backs game this past weekend and had a great time! In fact, I don't think I've ever had a bad time at copper blues. Love the fact that they have a variety of different bands playing each weekend so there's really something for everyone. They also have a wide variety of beers on draft, which isn't always common, but much appreciated. They started getting packed as the night went on, but the service was still great! The bartender was really friendly and outgoing, didn't catch her name but she talked us into some fun shots, didn't take much arm twisting. Beer prices are decent compared to some other places nearby, it's usually a go-to spot after a concert or sporting event. Never a bad time and love the live music on the weekends! read more

My husband and I booked a reservation here for NYE nearly two weeks in advance. Prior to booking, we checked their events page, website and social media to ensure there were no special events we needed to buy tickets for, nothing was mentioned, just that they had a band going on @9:30PM that night. At 3PM on NYE we received an email that our reservation was cancelled, we called and asked for more information and they told us our reservation was cancelled due to them having a ticketed event. We asked if they could honor our reservation since we booked it in advance and are being notified of this the day-of, our request was declined. The options were we pay $30 per person for GA, standing room only, any other options were starting at $100 per person, if we wanted to sit anywhere. They told us ticket sales went on sale the Sunday prior to the event, and we could buy tickets. My biggest issue is we weren't notified until the day of our reservation and had to scramble to make new plans for NYE, which was impossible. I understand things happen, but no reasonable solution was provided to us despite their mistake. read more

Absolutely amazing place. In the heart of downtown Phoenix. With amazing music. Every time we've been there. The staff is really great for being as busy as they are. Get your drinks very quickly and make sure that you always have a fresh drink at home. The food is bar type food, which is definitely delicious and greasy. If you're up for that. They also have some delicious salads available if you prefer to do that. The seating is plentiful. Right up at the bar, or further back with open air, dining as well. Located right next to a live comedy club~ makes this a great spot. I would recommend this to my friends & be back. Walked up the stairs to enter copper blues and immediately got turned away by gentleman that's being nice saying he was a gentleman actually yelled at my wife and I that they're 200 plus over capacity when we barely walked up the stairs. We were just looking to chill and and hang out at a place that was familiar to us after enjoying some drinks at Cary on. We were on a date as we have younger kids and didn't expect to get yelled at as if we were trying to force ourselves in! We just simply casually walked up the stairs to get aggressively turned away. Ummm okay not our fault that you allowed yourself to get over 200 people capacity like who does that?? How is that possible? Why wouldn't you put a sign out?? Or even let us know nicely?? I recently came to this CB Live for drag brunch with some frost. First, the drag performers were incredible and this review is purely about CB live and our experience with the staff. The service was some of the worst I've ever had. It took over 40 minutes to just get water. We had to ask 2-3 times before we received anything that ordered. On top of that, the bottomless mimosas turned out to be $40 (they did not put the price on the menu) which would have been worth if I had gotten multiple refills. It took so long to wave down our server we each got one refill. So $20 per water-downed drink, I will definitely not be back. read more

I love, love, love this place!!!! I go here to watch NASCAR and football regularly, to partake in Live Band Karaoke, and to join Friday's when the band plays whatever you like, just text it. The music is soooo authentic. You feel like you're an uber expensive, exclusive lounge. The shows they put on and the indoor/outdoor set up is both divey and sexy and the same time. The staff does a great job dealing with the crazy crowds and all the insanity. They somehow stay professional, even with everyone yelling at them and begging for more and more and more food and drinks. Such organized chaos done so well. The food: Wings and fries area must haves. The sauces are spot on for what a wing needs and they cook them to perfection. I only eat the wings, so I cannot speak to the other dishes, but the beer selection will keep you busy. Whether you're sitting at one of the bars, in a booth, or at one of the tables towards the back of the venue... every seat is a great seat.
