Feeling pretty lucky to have stumbled on this place by accident! Boyfriend and I were waiting for a band at the Van Buren on a weekday night and figured we should grab a slice so we wouldn't get hangry with each other, and I remember seeing a pizza place when we were walking up. So, went to the front and asked for a couple slices and they asked if we wanted to eat for here to go. We had time and also wanted a tasty beverage, so luckily said "for here". He said the entrance is down the hall, and pointed down this dimly lit hallway to a walk-in refrigerator door (pictured). Very confused as we went through into the secret room as far as we knew to find a freaking awesome light up floor, pinball machines, awesome unique decor, full bar and full menu from Ziggys magic pizza shop. there was a bouncer checking for IDs (as it was after 8 PM when it's no longer all ages), and he was really cool and could sense the awe in my eyes and didn't make me feel weird at all for being touristy (although I'm a local) being excited, and taking lots of pictures. The whole experience was absolutely delightful! Had some slices, a couple beers and are left with such fond memories. Came here on Halloween! First time so we were confused where and now to get in! You need to enter through the Ziggy's Pizza. Stardust is located the back freezer door. That was cool! This is one of the coolest looking bars I've been to. It's inside a pizza shop through a freezer door. The decor inside is great and the dance floor is absolutely vibrant. There's pin ball to play if dancing isn't your thing. The drinks are delicious, too. I got a starburst cocktail and it had a surprise starburst in the bottom of my drink. Look right, and you've got 2 walls lined with mint condition, beautiful, smooth, polished Pinball machines. There are around 16 or so pinball machines. They take quarters or tokens. There is a convenient token machine located near the pinballs. Let's talk about drinks- they have a Bowie themed cocktail menu. Let me tell you, I ordered several of them after seeing others with them! They are beautiful drinks and delicious! Added bonus - you can order food from Ziggys Pizza inside of Stardust. The fries are oh so crispy, even when covered with cheese, jalapeño, olives, and bacon. Surprisingly delicious! This place is a bundle of Bowie fun. Dancing. Pinball, drinks. DJ. Pizza. What a fun place. The front is a take out pizza place....the back is a speakeasy bar. The pizza is excellent, NY style and as close as you will get in Arizona! The drinks are fun and really good. The speakeasy has a dozen pinball machines, so fun. Over 21 after 8pm. Afternoons will typically be families having pizza. After 8pm, mostly 20 somethings grinding up against each other, crowded and noisy. Still fun if you are looking for that. Will definitely be back. read more

Enter Ziggy's pizza and walk through the door that looks like it heads into the back and the freezer. Then you're in a cool wonderland. Nice selection of pinball machines, a bar, and pizza. The ambiance has a great pinball/David Bowie theme going on. Its a bit dark, but has good lighting, the disco bar and music blaring. There are a couple of booths and some tables that roll away from the floor to create a dance floor. We went early as we had plans later that night, but the pizza was good and I could overeat garlic knots. Staff was attentive and friendly. Machines were well maintained and a great selection. I love the concept! I guess we love anything hidden or surprising. Stardust Pinbar is a modern day "speakeasy", with a club atmosphere! The place has a disco feel with an arcade-like vibe; especially with the pinball machines. The decors and artwork here is awesome! Needless to say, it's definitely a cool spot to visit, but I find it losses it's flare quick. We ordered our drinks and a pizza from next door. One of my college favorite places, this dance floor gave me a blast, really got to enjoy myself. I've only been here a couple times unfortunately, need to come out more. Unfortunately a recent experience has left an absolutely sour taste in my mouth. Came here with a buddy the other night, and immediately upon walking in tried handing one of the bouncers my ID, only for him to say I looked like I had enough to drink already. What an absolutely rude and judgmental thing to say to a guest right off the bat- there's a lot better ways to determine if someone coming in might be too intoxicated for service, and this wasn't it. He let us in anyway after he asked us where we were coming from (our house). But we immediately felt unwelcome. We played some games and finishing our first drinks outside to wait for more games to open up. When we came back inside from the GATED patio, another security person asked to see our IDs again, despite me having a drink from the bar in my hand. Then, while we were playing games, a THIRD security person came up to us mid game to ask us what happened to a pile of tokens that had been left sitting on a table between the rows of machines. We said we didn't know, but the fact that he came up to us while we were in the middle of a game was just plain rude. After these three uncomfortable encounters, we decided to just leave. It's really too bad, because I generally try to make Stardust a primary stop every time I'm in town, but now I'm not so sure. The staff could definitely benefit from some security training and customer service training, coming from someone who's done club and venue security in Seattle for 5 years and based off other recent reviews. Before we even walked in the front door we were pleasantly greeted and told about the speakeasy-style pinbar in the back. Vibe: The interior of Stardust Pinbar is creative, upbeat, and ultra clean. (Even the bathrooms are bad ass.) There's a row of obviously really well-maintained pinball machines with classic themes like Star Wars, Adams Family, and The Simpsons. Service: Whoever is in charge of staffing this joint is killing it. Service was beyond top notch. The hostess, our server, Carlos, and the multi-talented, Peru, were all super friendly and made us feel so welcome. These guys made it so I'll definitely be back here the next time I'm in Phoenix. Food: We ordered a Caesar salad, the 12-piece naked wings, and a half-and-half pizza with classic pepperoni on one side and Pretty Fly for a White Pie on the other. Everything was delicious!!! I'm not usually a wings person, but I could've eaten that entire basket by myself. Without question, best wings I've ever had. Never coming back to this bar again, we had been inside for 5min before my sober friend was kicked out by security because another customer asked for him to be kicked out. This customer asked for him to be kicked out and cut off when he had no alcohol whatsoever. Even though he had just gone though the security at the front entrance who verified he was well enough to enter. Security didn't even bother to verify the situation, just took his word for it. Wow this bar is SO cool. It's a speakeasy where you enter thru a pizza parlor, but don't worry about missing it because there's a massive line outside the place nearing midnight on weekends. It's a retro vibe, with a disco ball hanging over a light up dance floor, and course, many, many pinball machines lining the walls. It gets crowded, but the bar does a great job of not squishing too many people inside which I very much appreciate. High top tables and booths are reservable...not sure if there is a fee for reserving though. Music ranges from top hits, past top hits, reggaeton, and rap. Such a cool retro spot to visit. It's a little difficult to find lol it's inside Ziggy's Pizza - go through the pizza shop double doors, you'll see the bar entrance on the right side. When we got there, it wasn't too pack. Had a few drinks at the bar - they have a few special drinks - the Bad Bunny drink was the best one! After a certain hour, they pick up most of the tables and chairs and a DJ starts playing. When we left around midnight, it was PACKED. You have to penguin walk through the crowds of people trying to get a drink. We grabbed some pizza on the way out and it was DELICIOUS (plus we were intoxicated sooo yea ). High energy, fun vibes running deep through here. The pinball skins on the walls with color changing lighting behind them really set the tone. If you notice, the bartop is covered in pinballs. Not to mention the working pinball machines flanking the walls. I appreciate how they've created a very distinct area for dancing, something that Cobra doesn't currently have. It was well worth it. So far, the dance floor has been packed every time I've been by. Each machine is a buck per play, using tokens from the machine that takes dollar bills only (there's an ATM right next to it if you're without cash). Bartenders and bouncers are chill. Make sure to only leave out the back way, even if you're looking to jam out for a real quick slice from Ziggy's before coming back in for more drinks and pinball machine-ing. On a side note, can you guys maybe put in some real lights in the ladies bathroom? I can't stand not being able to see the red pepper that's been stuck in my front teeth for who-knows-how-long because the measly two dim lights are so far away from the mirror that I only see shadows of what I can only assume is probably my ugly, pizza covered mug. read more

Can't even explain the first experience here. I walked in thru Ziggys pizza. In thru this big fridge, turned right and there it was! Nice big dance floor with different colored lights! Big pinball background with nice colorful LED's. Loved the music they where playing. The drinks where awesome, had about 4 different ones and couldn't decide on which one was better. All of the drinks where good! The Staff was super friendly. I got treated with A-1 service since the second I walked in. Thanks guys! Will recommend to all my friends and family. read more

This place was amazing. The decor, the drinks, the music, and the food! All worth coming back for. I visited on a Thursday night and I was so excited at how lively it was for a weekday night. You immediately fall in love with the illuminated dance floor, the vintage pinball backboard wall, and the images of the inspiration for the place, David Bowie. In addition to the visuals, you had the DJs spinning awesome house music that got our group going. From the tequila shots to the specialty cocktails on their menu, you can definitely get either wasted or enjoy the buzz. Don't skip on those specialty drinks, the bartenders know what's up! Honestly, the pizza sealed the deal for me and it was a highlight of the night. Thank goodness to my friend for getting us that meat works pie. Definitely went well with our drinks! I don't like leaving reviews that aren't super positive but I have to be honest. I was not too happy with our experience here. Not because of service or the food, it was just the cocktails. I'm not sure how I kept reading posts saying their cocktails were delicious or strong. When we went, our drinks were neither. My wife is a lightweight and after two different cocktails she didn't feel a thing. The balance of the drinks just weren't it. They were either too strong of missing something. The concept of this bar is AMAZING and we were ao excited when we cane in! Love the saturday night fever dance floor and the red and blue slushy drinks served frim icee machines. That said the DJ was absolutely awful. The entire night people were just standing on the dance floor, maybe 3 girls trying to dance to completely mellow undanceable music. The young crowd would often know and sing the lyrics and seened to be enjoying themselves but this dance floor deserves to be danced on. Cant find a dj schedule on the website.
