They have an amazing lunch special. Make the best Kung Pao Chicken! Great service and ambiance every visit!!

Amazing value. Great taste. The fried items were crispy and screaming hot so fresh. The protein portion to the entree was an amazing deal. Only complaint is that the amount of rice relative to the entree was a little lacking haha. But amazing value amazing flavor and great staff and service. Can't wait to come back again. I got the general Tao's chicken with the combo so fried rice soup crab wanting and egg roll for 2$ up charge. Such a great deal. Please give me more rice even if it is white with this meal

Looking for Asian food on the mainland is a bit hard when you're in the middle of Arizona. But I came across this place on Yelp and thought I'd give it a shot. First green flag, they serve real sriracha! First red flag, we were never given chopsticks. I ordered the Mapo Tofu combo (came with "fried rice", spring roll, soup, and crab rangoons). It was a deal cause the combo only added an extra $1.75. But honestly I didn't feel like it was a win cause the fried rice was rice with soy sauce, the crab rangoons were sweet and not great. The spring roll was the best thing on the plate. The egg drop soup was amazing and the highlight of my meal. The Mapo Tofu had a slight spice, deliciously soft tofu, and was a huge amount. There was no ground pork or any other substances. I was surprised I just got tofu. But at least it tasted good. Would I go here again? The service was suuuuuuper nice. If I was desperate for Chinese food, maybe. But I'm more keen on cooking at home myself.

I ordered it through Uber eats it was so disappointed. The food wasn't packed well so the chicken spilled out. A specifically mention which soup I wanted and they gave me some egg soup that was super thick and un appealing. I also specifically stated that I only wanted the soup and egg roll because I am allergic to all seafood. They put crab cakes in both dishes. So I was really afraid to taste both dishes due to cross contamination. Both dishes were supposed to be medium hot. They absolutely had no taste to them nor did they have any spice over $40 wasted zero out of 10 do not recommend

My first time ordering from Hong Kong kitchen. We ordered the wonton soup, orange chicken, Singapore noodles, cashew chicken, and pork, fried rice. The food was delicious . We also got free donuts and they were so good. My kids pretty much ate them all. The two ladies working there were so nice and welcoming. Great customer service. We will be going back again.

    I love the shrimp!

When you are craving sweet, fried Chinese-American bites this place will hit the spot 100%. You know, like when it's a cold day outside and you're too lazy to cook? That's where HK Kitchen comes through. What I loved: The sweet and sour shrimp, they are huge and generous with the egg batter, which in this case I actually enjoy. They are such a great finger food. What I liked: Crab puffs that actually taste crabby, General Tso's Chicken that is on the sweet side but still all syrupy and crispy. This is comfort food to me, and I can see myself dropping by or getting it delivered many more times.

Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. The service could have been a little better, but it wasn't terrible. The price was reasonable, and the ambience was really nice. I especially liked the bright Asian colors throughout the restaurant it gave the place a lively feel. I ordered the Mongolian beef, but it was more like a beef and broccoli dish. Traditional Mongolian beef usually has onions, and mine didn't have any. The flavors were really good, though the beef was a little on the salty side. Not so salty that it was inedible, but definitely something where you'll want a sip of water with each bite. Overall, still a good spot with great soups, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere.

For years I have driven 25 minutes for takeout and never regretted it. High decor -No, limited selections -No, quiet -No, great food -Absolutely, incredibly friendly and pleasant staff -100%. Our typical order is a large General Chicken with extra sauce and Malaysian fun chow. The general chicken is perfectly breaded, deliciously flavored, slight bite and an uncious taste making you want more. The Malaysian fun chow has wok fried wide rice noodles with a hint of char, shrimp, bean sprouts, onions, veggies and a light but savory taste. Another home run! Don't let the exterior or inside decor persuade your judgement. Hands down the staff is second to none and the food is fabulous. Asian Cafe Express is an incredible value for the food quality and portion size. Trust me, if you give them a shot, you will also be ordering here for years. To the staff, fabulous job and thanks!

A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.

I ordered from the cart, somewhat point and taste. I had the salt fried shrimp, the shrimp dumplings sticky rice in leaf packets and the calamari. It was a lot and more than ample for two. The shrimp were huge and fried shell on head intact, which was fine with me, but for those who don't want to eyeball their meal, take heed. But they were crisp fresh and delicious, and salty. The calamari were fairly tender and freshly fried and salty as well. The star of the show, for me was the little shrimp dumpling. Encased in tender opaque skins, and packed with shrimp. I'd order those again. The sticky rice packets were filled with savory and seasoned ground meat, I think pork. Which i usually avoid, but I was committed. It was excellent ! I will return for another crack at the dim sum cart and this time I want to try the sweet side of the menu. Though I suppose I could always head to hmarts Paris baguettes for the custard pies, my favorite. No matter I will be back. Our service was spot on btw and the dining room began to fill after 1200. So get there early... it was old school decor which actually added to the charm of it all.

I thought it might be good because there was a line of people waiting to get in. We ended up ordering the usual suspects Sticky rice Shu Mai BBQ Pork Buns Spare Pork Ribs Chicken Feet The food was not spectacular and the bbq buns tasted like they were pre frozen. It wasn't soft at all and I became pretty disappointed. We also did not see the fried turnip cake until we ordered it from our server. She was the saving grace as she was very nice and polite and attentive. When ever we asked for something we got it right away. Also the cart ladies are much nicer as well than the other dim sum place. The food was comparable with the other place as well. The place is large and mostly clean. It does get an oily smell as they are frying things in the open and you can see it. I do like they have fish tanks for the kids to look at the fresh fish and lobster. One thing to note is that it does seem a bit more expensive than the other dim sum place as well. It's hard to choose which dim sum place we should go to moving forward.
