I stopped by Li's Bowl for a quick takeout lunch, hoping for an easy and tasty Chinese food fix. I ordered the regular orange chicken with fried rice, a pork egg roll, and egg drop soup. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit of a mixed bag. The orange chicken and pork egg roll were the misses for me. Both lacked the flavor I was hoping for, and the orange chicken especially felt like it needed a little more seasoning and that sweet, tangy punch that makes it so craveable. The egg roll was also pretty underwhelming. The fried rice and egg drop soup were definitely the highlights! The fried rice had a nice savory flavor and paired well with the meal, while the egg drop soup was warm, comforting, and hit the spot. Overall, I appreciate the quick takeout service, but this particular order was a little hit-or-miss. So after three years of avoiding this place at all cost, I decided to finally come in. I ordered the beef lo mein, and the chicken fried rice to the most basic items you could possibly order. The chicken would deemed as safe and mostly dark meat. Lo mein has slight sweet sauce to them and the meat. Well it was edible and I did not spit it out and that's pretty impressive for the price point. If I was to return, I would order the chicken fried rice and a soup. So it took me A-day and a 1/2 to get this post together reason being I went in to this place on Wednesday night around 8:30 just before they close and I order the House Fried Rice. Thinking it would be the best options. Now normally, my reviews are up beat and to the point. But this place is ALL ZEROS, I got food poisoning from here was sick since early Thursday morning and had to check myself into urgent care, they identified the cause was from the pork, chicken and shrimp from the dish and recommend me to flush my system. Never again will I stop by this place anytime of the day. I have notified the health department as I still have over 3/4 of the food left. The service was good but the two times I've gone in, their payment card reader wasn't working & they wrote my information down to charge later. This small place is near where I work and is great for a quick bite. Being that I'm normally tied up on the day to day and eat lunch at my desk take out is normally my go to. The portions are bigger than you would expect from a hole in the wall place like this. The staff is friendly and the food is always ready to go as soon as I arrive. The sushi is fresh and has a clean taste to it. The Gyoza are a bit small, but to be expected as an appetizer. All the rice and noodle bowls are as good as any quick take out place. Do be careful if having take out that when you are cutting or using your fork you don't push through the take out box! The meals tend to be very saucy and can leak out. I've made that mistake once or twice. Definitely enough food to make a meal and have leftovers. A definite go to for a quick lunch! read more

Most of the food here tastes really good but like most restaurants they do have some that miss the mark. Sometimes I wonder when people "like" a certain restaurant. A coworker of my wife's had mentioned this restaurant so we thought it was worth a try. We ordered some food to go and my initial observation was mixed as we left and opened the food at home. There was an overwhelming scent as the food was removed from the bag, we ordered house lo mein and sesame chicken with fried rice. The scent that caught my nose was one of despair as I realized it was from the shrimp in the lo mein. There is something about seafood that isn't fresh that puts off a "fishy" smell and this was it. Overall the lo mein was typical of Chinese togo restaurants. Oily, over cooked noodles mixed in with the usual suspects cabbage, onions, pork, chicken and some shrimp. A somewhat satisfying meal if you are looking for quantity. As for the sesame chicken, this one was a little disappointing. The chicken was chewy, clearly overcooked and most likely cooked some other day and refrigerated until needed, then refried and sauced. It is common for restaurants to prepare food ahead of time for quick meal delivery but like this dish had an off flavor that tasted like leftovers. I get it, restaurants want speedy service but sometimes it's detrimental to the quality or the owners are trying to get the most value out of the food cost and keeping prices low to the customer. Overall they are quick to serve and don't skimp on portions and have some of the lowest prices I've seen, I just wasn't a fan of the food I received today. read more

Li's Bowl has consistently improved over the years with their food. The Mongolian beef was so tender and thinly sliced it was delicious! When something says it's spicy, it really isn't, so they could kick it up a notch. The vegetables in their food are perfectly cooked to give that balance of crunch and softness. The steamed rice is amazing on its own which is weird to say but when it's fresh it sticks together and is a great compliment to the entree. It isn't as good as leftovers though. And the people who work there are friendly and efficient! Plus their COVID protocols (hand sanitizer available, plexiglass by register, only 5 people allowed inside at a time, spots on floor of where to stand for distancing, mask requirement) are upheld and I greatly appreciate them! read more

First time at Li's Bowl. Been driving by it for years but a friend recommended it so, why not? I arrived at 5 PM on a Monday and there were two other parties, so the ordering went swiftly. The decor was bright and clean plus the furniture was in good shape. Given the neighborhood, that's a plus. I ordered a small rainbow roll and 4 cheese wontons, based on Yelp reviews. I added a large can of Arizona and it came to $10.65. Cheap! Nervous! It arrived in about 4 mins and looked prepackaged. It had plastic grass to make it look, idk, better? They offered super cheap plastic forks, packet condiments and thin napkins. They were pretty small rolls as well. I was okay with the flavors but couldn't get past the non-traditional stuff. Oh, but they had an aquarium to make it look traditional. Lame. The portions weren't overwhelming so I got a plate of General's Chicken to go. It was nice and hefty but, upon returning home I saw that it was 3/4 rice. Also the GC was very sweet and soggy. Compared to Panda Express, Li's was better in menu selection and prices. I'd never heard of Li's Bowl until today. I came across it by chance and stopped in for lunch. It's a nice little place in the middle of a nondescript strip mall and seemed to have a bit of traffic, so I thought I'd try it. There's minimal Asian decor, but enough to keep it's A-Pac emphasis without being tacky. The service was friendly and quick. My order was ready in about five minutes, so I was pleased with the turnaround time. While waiting, I grabbed a carryout menu and noticed it said they have "catering by appointment." When I inquired about how much notice was needed, the employee had no idea. I thought that was a little odd but, whatever. I wasn't in a particularly adventuresome mood, so I ordered my old standby of Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. Both we so-so. Both were served piping hot but the Orange Chicken was so tough it split my plastic fork at the very first stab. I'm not sure if it was a matter of too much "batter", being slightly overcooked or a combination of the two, but I've had more tender chicken for sure. The rice was fine, but had been seasoned with something that gave it the flavor of powdered L****n soup. Pass the soy sauce, please! Again, not the best I've had. I will also say my "medium" portion size was large; enough for lunch and leftovers for dinner. If in the area again, I'd consider trying Li's Bowl again, but I'm curious to know what they can do with their sushi rolls and may opt for that, instead. read more

Ordered 3 entrees, a 16 piece chicken wings with no sauce and 3 egg rolls. The chicken wings are wonderful as always, but the 3 entrees were all terrible. Soggy texture, tasted bland with more than a hint of dirty dishwater. Really disappointing. Lacks any spice or flavor. Just mushy. The egg rolls are usually a favorite of mine but tonight they seemed undercooked. They weren't crispy. Threw away all the food. However, the won ton soup and Chicken fried rice was very bland and very greasy, yes even the soup was greasy. Overall just not good food. I'd like to end on a positive note. If I could give negative stars, I would. The egg roll was OK. Meat inside wontons in the wonton soup looked and tasted strange... like it was old. I opened my spicy tuna roll... rice was yellow and crusty. Definitely rolled A WHILE AGO. I took a chance and bit into it - it tasted like mold! I turned it over and saw the seaweed was all rotten. This was not rolled today! maybe yesterday, maybe a week ago. Who knows!!!??? And probably not refrigerated for a while. Had to throw it out.
