It was our first time eating here and the sushi is definitely not the best. We decided to go here because it was near by vs our regular sushi spot which is 28mins. After having their sushi we wished we could have driven the extra miles for good sushi. Their crab meat was not so tasty and just to say the least their ingredients didn't taste fresh at all. The general tso chicken was pretty good but their fried rice was very bland. My roommate who has gone there a few times claims "they're usually better than this" but I wouldn't want to go back to find out otherwise. Also the wasabi looked like play dough. Originally, I gave this place a 3 star but my same room mate that said this place was okay. Had my last California Roll and said "I get that it's not real crab meat but that was just gross. Give it a 2 star" read more

They have great verity of dish lowmein noodles. My family loved the lowmein taste The place is clean, the employees friendly. Food was delicious, a little pricey but Good portions. read more

We ordered take out on a week day. This is a middle range Chinese restaurant, the food quality and quantity matches the prices. I got the tofu with veggies, husband got General Tso's chicken and we ordered sides of cheese wontons, fried shrimp, and gyoza. The Chinese/Japanese fusion is interesting because you know, history. The gyoza were good. Plenty of left overs to eat the next day. The food was missing something (flavor) and had too much sugar/MSG/grease. I've had worse/better Chinese food before and have learned not to expect much good Chinese takeout in Phoenix. In short I'm not blown away, but if I'm tired and don't want to cook I'd order take out again. read more

Ordered Kung Pao chicken. Got an order with no peppers but got enough diced carrots to keep Bugs Bunny happy for a month, see picture. Never had Kung Pao with carrots & would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that is not a qwazzy wabbit. read more

Li's Bowl - Chinese Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This place has amazing food. Do mot be put of by the rough manner that the phone girl has. The food is worth it! Food gets 5 stars. People skills get 1 star. Everything i have ordered is delicious and on time. read more

Picked up a boat load of take out from Li's. Large order of sauced wings, General Tso's, fried rice with shrimp, some noodles, some white rice, some cream cheese wontons, and some pork gyoza. The wings were huge and juicy. Took me 2 meals to eat 16 wings with some rice, so plenty of food there, for sure, but they didn't have a whole lot of flavor. I added some Franks on the first day, and some garlic hot sauce on the second. That made them quite yummy :) I would say everything was good, $30 worth of food lasted 2 people 3 meals, so can't beat the price! Glad to have an Asian take out place nearby! read more

Always a favorite for simple delicious Chinese food in the south mountain area (best I've found so far) portions are very large, don't bother ordering the fried rice as an entree because they give you the option of a free side of white rice or fried rice with every entree and there's no difference in quality between the two. House special lo mein is my absolute "go-to" and the sushi is surprisingly good as well read more

We ordered the food from Postmates. It was warm when it arrived, not far from out house. But their Chinese food is terrible, the fried rice is orange and has a ton of onions in it. The meat seems low quality in all the chicken we have tried, I don't know why we keep giving them a chance. I can say the egg roles are ok, the egg drop soup is fine. Everything else ha sheen a bust. Low quality and fast food Chinese for sure. The Las Vegas role was terrible didn't even finish it. Sesame chicken and orange chicken was decent I guess, but if you do just get steamed rice. We paid $50 overall total with the meals and Postmates charges and delivery/tip. They charged us extra using Postmates. Our meal was only $27.00 worthy of food. I don't recommend Postmates, and we even got free shipping. read more

Ok- first this I NOT fine dining it's a fast food that said: It has a good selection of Chinese and sushi. Worth a midweek stop for take out. Here's the run down. Shrimp and lobster sauce- not a typical presentation but good with plenty of shrimp. Gyoza- deep fried with hot dipping sauce. Ate them all California supreme roll- yummy and made fresh while I watched. Rainbow roll- looked good and tasted good! Yellowtail sashimi- good for fast food Fried rice-standard Over all worth a visit if you need take out on your way home from work. Will visit again. read more

I couldn't tell you what is good sushi and what is bad, but I love the sushi here... Las Vegas roll is my favorite and I often get the kung pao chicken too. read more

Possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. The California Roll, Cream cheese wantons, fried rice is delicious. Make sure to get the duck sauce packets. We ordered the teriyaki chicken but it really tasted like pork with onions and bell peppers. Over all was still satisfying. read more

Li's Bowl - Delish - Chinese Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This was my first time here, and it is pretty standard fast food Chinese fare. The service was pleasant and quick, but the prices are a little high for what they offer. I had a dine-in chicken lo mein that was crammed into a little foam to-go burger box. It seems like a plate would be less expensive and more appealing. The food was average, but unlike other Chinese restaurants, the dish didn't come with any soup or sides, not even a fortune cookie, everything was à la carte. If I'm in the neighborhood I might stop in again, but it's not a place I would go out of my way for. read more

The food is decent. The service is horrific. Fist time I ordered from there they forgot 3 items in my order. Second time I order from them they forgot 2 items. Then when I call to ask about them the people talk to you like you're bothering them. The restaurant wasn't even busy so they can't even use that as an excuse for why they're not checking the orders. Never go here. read more

Li's Bowl - The 'shrimp fried rice' fried rice with 2 shrimps on top. - Chinese Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

The food is absolutely horrid. You're better off going to Panda's or Red Dragon. Got honey chicken that was soaking in some juice after being deep fried, the white rice is not traditional white rice and the garlic chicken made my mom choke. Very unpleasant experience I do not recommend read more

Okay so I recently moved back to the Phoenix area and was finally able to make my way back to Li's Bowl. Upon entering the store I immediately noticed I was the only one there and that things look slightly different. This place has obviously changed hands because the food is just your average Chinese food. Needless to say I was very disappointed; now I need to find another good place. On the plus side my husband said the Pepsi was good.ha ha. read more

super good food, the crab rangoons were a little sweet for my taste but my 5yr old ate three of them!

Our food is always fresh and delicious. The price is very fair also. We will continue to order takeout from Li's!!! Highly recommend you try it if you haven't!! read more

After reading Yelp reviews, I decided to try this place. Good Chinese is hard to find anywhere. It's on the way home and I was craving Chicken Fried Rice with a side of extra green onion. Duck juice too please, but they don't do that here. Here's a break down of my stars: 1 Star: Quick Service. While at the counter I had Yelp up on my phone and I think the lady saw it because I placed my order she gave the order to the kitchen and started speaking in Chinese. It sounded like, "hurry up with order, this new customer and he on Yelp!" My order came out ahead of 2 orders previously placed by customers ahead of me. Hmm. Ok, impressive. 2 Star: Tons of Rice. The small box was stuffed with rice and generous amount of chicken. I had it for dinner and brunch the next day. 3 Star: Friendly face with a smile for service and rightly priced. The side of onion was only 50cents extra with my total being about $5. The place was also clean on the inside. read more

Am i the only one who thinks this place is bit that great. Their servings for large are not that big and when i ordered beef fried rice there was hardly any beef in it. Their drinks are over priced, they sell sushi but honestly would you buy sushi from a Chinese place. Its like buying Mexican tacos from an Italian restaurant. Never coming back here. read more

They have one off the best fried rice's in the valley , house sauce is the bomb, and they have duck sauce too ! I'll never waist my time sitting outside of Tam's or Westside window again. The thing that tops them from the rest is the fact that they also have sushi , great customer service and they don't leave you waiting for your food. This is a great family establishment for food , I recommend 100 % read more

I really thought I'd updated this already, since it's been almost 2 years since my first review. We still eat here often! Everything I said above still stands but we've tried a few other dishes they serve as well. Orange chicken - Decent but super spicy, was even a bit hot for my hubby who was raised on Cajun cooking. Sweet and Sour chicken - Delicious, the sweet and sour isn't runny at all. They also put the sauce on the side which is great, I hate having soggy take out! Broccoli and Beef - Pretty tasty, I get this when I'm not in the mood for sushi. Egg rolls - Neither of us found them very good. Garlic chicken - My husband liked it, far too spicy for me. Fried Rice - Husband likes it. I dislike fried rice in general. If you're in the area and you haven't tried this place, you really need to! read more

OMG - Kung Pao Chicken!!! SO damn good! Never order the small, you get Bang for the buck! on food here with the large. The lady handed my amazing Kung Pao Chicken, and my arm literally dropped, had to weigh it, 3.5 lbs of food for under $10. General Tsao's chicken is also amazing! Not a bog fan of chinese food night, but always williing to go for some Li's Bowl! read more

Warning!!!!!!!!! After reading a lot of positive reviews I decided to check this place out. I placed an order for the house fried rice by phone and was told 10 minutes. I got there in about ten minutes and it was ready so I was in and out in less then 5 minutes. Went back home ready to eat and was totally disappointed. The chicken, pork, and beef was all dry. It's as though they used leftover cooked meat to make the fried rice. It was more like rice and jerky. The egg roll was gross, flavor and texture. Now that I think about it, this food taste like reheated leftovers. I don't know why but south Phoenix Chinese food sucks compared to other parts out of South Phoenix. I won't be back however the cheese wontons were good. read more

Li's Bowl - House fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

We probably get take out from Li's 3 or 4 times a month. For the most part, the food is quite good, but there have been some inconsistencies. My husband loves the veggie lo mein and the avocado salad, in part because of their huge portions. The won ton soup has become our favorite and the cheese won tons (like rangoons) are always fresh and more flavorful than many other places. I think what makes me give Li's Bowl 3 rather than 4 stars is the sushi. The quality really depends on the day. They must get a shipment of fresh fish in before the weekend, because Friday's sushi is always great, but Sunday's and Monday's fish can be mushy and not so fresh. Li's is one of the better places to eat in Laveen, however. Just pick your raw fish days carefully. read more

Been coming here for years. Hands down best sushi I've had in AZ and the most flavorful fried rice out there!! Always met with great service. 5 stars read more

Not too shabby, reasonable prices, and ready within 10 minutes of calling. We went to town and sampled a little bit of everything: Pork dumpling appetizer was delicious! Shrimp tempura roll was good, but nothing special. This roll seems to taste the same no matter where you get it?! Garlic chicken was ok, although kinda sparse on the chicken. Sesame chicken seemed to be the overall winner. General Tso's chicken was ok, but no spice at all. The fried rice is like regular rice with some brown food coloring--disappointing for sure. Will continue to try and find a good chinese place on the westside of town! read more

Confused by all the high reviews for their sushi. Usually yelp is right on. It is low-priced sushi without a doubt, so I wasn't expecting anything gourmet, but I gotta say...this sushi wasn't edible. The sushi you find in a Fry's grocery store or Whole Foods is better. I tried the Vegas Roll and their Alaskan Roll. The Alaskan roll was extremely fishy and couldn't eat more than one piece. The Vegas roll was funky. Can't quit put my finger on what it was...just didn't taste good...and definitely didn't taste like a Vegas Roll. Had a stomach ache after eating a couple pieces. Save your money and buy one roll at a better place. That one roll will fill you up more than two rolls that are inedible. Can't comment about their chinese food because I've never tried it...hope its better. read more

Goodness! Try the LoMein. I don't mind the drive for their noodles. The food is made to order. We always buy their party trays. Super cheap and they overfill it too! They have great customer service. They even helped us load the trays in our car. I would suggest this place especially if you need party trays read more

First time at the restaurant. Staff didn't greet or have any manners whatsoever. Large portions but not a traditional teriyaki chicken. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

I think 3 stars is pretty perfect for this place. It's not spectacular. It's not terrible. I find Li's Bowl is really fairly average. That is to say, if I'm sitting at home and I'm craving some Chinese food but don't want to drive a long distance, I'll go here without much hesitation. This has happened a number of times, matter of fact, and that's definitely not a bad thing. This just isn't the type of place I would go looking for "great' Chinese food at; nor is it a place I would take somebody promising the same. read more

Got Sesame chicken large. Taste was alright, but there was whole lot of bread and very little chicken. It should be named Sesame Breaded instead. I feel like all my week of healthy eating was ruined by this meal. It tasted ok though. MCD Asian alternative, made fresh, but very unhealthy! read more

My typical dish of choice is Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. It's AMAZING. I wish I could afford to eat every meal there... My boyfriend and I ordered a 12 piece Vegas roll and for the price, it was soo tiny!! We decided to order an orange chicken meal because we were still hungry, and I think they gave us something else. It had a lot of garlic and tasted nothing like orange chicken.. the fried rice was yellow with very little veggies and had an overall weird flavor. We tried eating as much as we could after spending nearly $20 for everything. That was without drinks! Won't be coming back here. read more

Such good Chinese food! My husband and I had been going to a place near us, but it was just not good. This place is awesome. Truly tasty, cooked perfectly and great portions. The food was ready in no time, too. We had orange chicken- just the right amount of kick, sesame chicken-tasty and chicken low mein- plenty of yummy vegetables. This will be our go-to Chinese place! read more

So this is my local go to Chinese restaurant. The place is better than average. Probably eat here 3 to 4 times a month. The food is prepared and ready for pick up within 10 to 15 minutes. My favorites are their sushi and the teriyaki pork. The soup is good too. In over 5 years they only confused my order once which is above average for most food establishments. The manager is Sunny and she is there to make sure orders go out quickly and efficiently. Prices are better than fair and portions are appropriately sized. read more

I tried it because I did not want Panda Express, plus I was wanting some California Rolls! It is nice, simple and clean inside. Just another regular size fast food eating area. I ordered the Broccoli with Brown Sauce, which is like Broccoli Beef without the Beef. It came with one side, so I chose Fried Rice. I believe your only options are fried rice and chow mein. If you get two entrees you get two sides. The 8 pieces of California Rolls were fine, they don't seem to be freshly made though. All that for $10.26! This place is not that bad nor is it all that great! The broccoli was nice and crispy and the sauce was good, so the combination was nice and delectable. I was craving it and I was not disappointed! I typically stick to what I like and will not steer too far from what I know and like. The next time I will try the chow mein, I guess. read more
