Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken.

Authentic is the word for this place. Don't judge a book by the cover. The place is not swanky. But the service was solid, we got our food quickly, and tasted like authentic Chinese food.

This place looks like it's been there for a long time. It's small, no much tables and not much parking. Staff is friendly and on top of it. Lunch specials and combos are such a great price and good size meals. Food was not bad for what you're paying it's pretty good. Lunch specials came with egg roll, soup, wonton, fried rice and entree. I got the sweet and sour chicken and my husband got the Mongolian beef. Mongolian beef had way more veggies than beef but i actually liked the flavors.

Tasty and such good prices. We ordered three lunch combos and they served soup as appetizers. My picky food eater kids ate so much food and gave the dishes a thumbs up Service is fast and food came very fast. Well run and efficient.

The hype is real. Great prices. Generous portions. Food was flavorful. Service was great. Ambiance is old Chinese restaurant, but im not there for ambiance. Im there for zodiac sign placements and good fried rice

My food had a cockroach in it. The food for starters wasn't really good, the portions are huge but the food itself taste like a frozen tv dinner (unfortunately we had already tried a bite of the food from the other boxes before finding the bug..) . The only good part was the sweet and sour that came with the egg roll which was probably store bought. This place looks super scary and ratchet but had pretty good reviews and I live downtown so I thought i'd give it a try... biggest mistake it was so dirty inside and out and the people were nice but just wanting to get us out the door. We get home and open our food to find A COCKROACH. I've never been so shocked in my life I honestly have never had something like this happen to me. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. SO GROSS. NOT WORTH IT. I have never reviewed anything so poorly and pray I never have to again. This sucked because not only did I pay for this and have to throw it out I then lost my appetite and had to buy something new for dinner later in the night. I should get a refund!!!!

It looks like a total "hole in the wall" but don't let that stop you from coming in. The staff is very friendly, and the food is great!! I was surprised by how many people were here when I walked in. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions were huge!!!

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

The food is consistently outstanding, and the warm, attentive service keep us coming back time and time again. On this visit, we ordered the sautéed whole lobster with green onions and ginger, beef lo mein, shrimp lo mein, walnut shrimp, and fried rice. Every dish was prepared beautifully and packed with flavor, but the lobster was truly divine. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and infused with the aromatic flavors of fresh ginger and green onions, it was one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression long after the meal is over. The beef and shrimp lo mein were equally delicious, with rich savory flavors and generous portions, while the walnut shrimp was perfectly crisp with a delicate sweetness that balanced the dish beautifully. The fried rice was the perfect complement to everything on the table. We also enjoyed a few sake bombers, which are hands down the best we've had anywhere. They are always perfectly prepared and have become a must-order whenever we visit. They pair wonderfully with the food and add an extra touch of fun to an already fantastic dining experience. What truly sets China Chili apart is its consistency. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, you can always count on exceptional food, attentive service, and genuine hospitality. It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. I ventured inside on this lovely Sunday, noting a delightfully serene dining room with only a few select patrons present. While my initial impression of the layout was conservative, the hospitality quickly evolved into something genuinely impressive. They also feature a beautifully appointed small bar that crafts cocktails, which adds a sophisticated touch. I escorted myself to an excellent table and requested a bowl of Egg Drop Soup to enjoy while engaging in a brief, lovely conversation with the attentive staff. The preparation was entirely satisfactory. While the interior architecture and decor are not quite as grand in scale as I had initially envisioned, the aesthetic is tastefully curated and not bad at all. For my main course, I selected the Mongolian Beef from the menu a splendid choice, and beautifully priced at $14.85. To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.
