Service was very good. It took about 20 minutes and the staff were very friendly. They are cash only, so keep in mind if you plan on ordering in person. The ambiance was very clean and homey feeling. They have large fans inside tent with ac connected to keep it cool temp inside. The menu was very easy to read with lots of photos which was nice. Now let me talk about the food! So so so GOOD!!! 've visited Sushi Mocorito a handful of times because I happen to be in that area a lot. The rizo al ajillo con anguila(eel roll) is delicious. That said, the enjoyment of this place hits some serious speed bumps because the portions are modest and prices are higher than nicer and better places. A few rolls will set you back, and while quality matters, I didn't feel the payoff matched the premium price tag. For the same money, I've had equally divine sushi in calmer, cleaner, friendly places that let me pay by card and not cash. If you do come prepared to wait. I've seen my own and others orders sit untouched for 20-30 minutes, even when the place has one or two customers. Add the cash-only factor and rude cashier, and you've got a recipe for frustration. It's 2025 And you don't take credit cards and the staff acts as if white customers are an incontinence to deal with until you speak Spanish.... They act as if you must speak Spanish, or they don't want your money. I'm bilingual, so that's fine, but I've seen people get frustrated and leave over this The restaurant is tucked next to a shelter, meaning you'll find people asking for help A LOT outside, especially after dark. Also, openly smoke meth on the sidewalk by the trailer park on the other side of the road. While compassion's always the call, I'd be remiss not to mention that it can feel a little tense, especially if you're a woman dining alone at this place after dark. I'd recommend caution or bringing company. That's the less-glam side. But again, the food...when it finally does arrive, works. I especially appreciate the eel offerings. If you're a sushi adventurer seeking Mexican-inspired rolls this place is okay but just temper your expectations. Bring enough cash (50 bucks), set aside extra time (2 hours, one to eat one to get the food), and go during daylight hours or with a large male friend. read more

Stopped here for lunch after hearing good things. Was surprised to find it a food truck and not a an actual restaurant. Never one to shy away from a new dining experience we parked and walked up. Cash only and menu is in Spanish, well that limits both the purchase and decision making. The gentleman there offered a few suggestions and we went with one of the rolls, a couple carne asada tacos, a couple el pastor tacos and two bottled sangrias. Tacos were good, roll was okay.
