Wanted ceviche came here I was greeted and staff is so friendly and nice. I grab it to go and came home it wasn't how I expected because I used to live in cali where I grew up is all Hispanic place, for some reason they all made it differently..and what I order there wasn't that much shrimp, octopus, scallop, shrimp taste like over cook very dry. There were more of the sauce then wats in it. Any how flavor didn't really have a good taste it in. Overall think it was ok . It wasn't all that great . Place is small but it's a pretty busy, it's very small restaurant and it's only like 7 or 8 small tables seating. read more

Cóctel de camarón con pulpo is a bit thicker than other places but once that juice hits your taste buds, one is immediately impressed and just knows you came to the right place and should have been here sooner. This place is very good. It is quite literally a hole in the wall and if you are not looking for it you will drive right past it. In fact I've been driving by it for years until someone pointed it out to me. I do not regret finally making it in. The prices are kind of high, but there is not much in the way of Mariscos around the valley so you can charged whatever you want and we will still come. If you know the difference between real mariscos and just plain seafood, you will love this place. read more

Very Very Good!! Shrimp cocktail was delicious $14 for a small but it was loaded with shrimp. Ceviche tostadas were really good also! The chips were so crispy went great with the cocktail! Best place for mariscos I've been to in phoenix. It's very authentic and tasteful I've been here a couple of times and always love to come back. Their home made sauce is spicy and delicious. Plus the ladies are so welcoming and nice it's like being back home. I love this place. We had a tostada de jaiba witch was authentic crab meat (best) and a tostada mixta. This local Mexican style seafood restaurant is my favorite in this city. The seafood is fresh and the way they marinate and mix everything up is Absolutely perfect. The kitchen is always full and you could even see everyone back there cutting everything up and peeling the freshly cooked shrimp. Sure, I'll go try other places. But this place will always be my favorite. Go try it for yourself. The Owner is usually on sight, super friendly by the way. She has her clientele and talks with everyone to make everyone feel welcome. Only downside is the wait to be seated. But hey, that's how you know they are good. Also, super clean establishment. But the reason for the three stars not four or even five is simply because the plate that I got was told was going to be spicy and somewhat like an agua chile so I get it first it wasn't spicy it tasted freaking delicious but not spicy at all second I was told It had raw shrimp it didnt. It did have everything else and tasted really amazing but it also had more onion and cucumber that's Seafood. Some people that were in there had like mussels spicy but I didn't see them on the menu. I'm from California and have had my fair share of seafood. This places ranks in my top 10 if it means anything. Forgot to mention it is a little pricey but w.e it was good. read more

I come to this restaurant very often and I love it! It's THE best seafood I've had in the U.S. I order "agua chiles" (small) and they're so tasty! Their portions are huge so I recommend to order a small since the large can be enough for two average people. This place came highly recommended and I was over the moon excited to try a Marisco place in AZ. I've been looking for some of the comfort foods from back home and after hearing about this joint I must admit I was hyped! Let me start out by saying that I should have placed a little more attention to the detail of the recommendation. I was told for "pisteando and aguas chiles Mariscos Filly is your place". I don't drink and 3 out of the 5 in my family don't do spicy. Any hoot we arrive ready to get our Marisco on. The place is small and it is packed, I take this is a good sign as we have to wait to be seated. A few minutes later our table is ready. The place is so packed and the tables are so tight the waiters/waitresses can barely get by, there is a lot of bumping going on. One of my kids took a butt to his head as he was drinking which caused him to spit his drink out. The menu not complicated at all, maybe 9 items total. We place our order and our waitress brings us a basket of chips, no salsa. I ask for some after I read the sign salsa $4.00, they tell me they don't have any. Hmmm. She said most people eat the chips with the mayonnaise (ummm what?) or the salsa negra on the table, which I'm guessing is their specialty. I didn't try it as I have food allergies and was told specifically to not have that one (totally appreciated this). After a short wait out food arrives. Presentation is lovely, and everyone looks happy. I played it safe and ordered fish ceviche tostadas. My mouth is watering because I can't wait to try this. I look closer and think they mistook my tostadas for shrimp instead of fish, but I'm like what ever let me just try it. After looking closer I realize that my tostada de ceviche is more like a tostada de verduras. Where is the fish?? I was less than impressed with the taste of the ceviche as it felt I was eating a cucumber salad. One of the other orders was a Seca dish and I can't remember the names of the others (lasting impression, I think not). Some of my family members started to notice their hands started to itch, but they continued eating. None of them have allergies to seafood, so we just kept on. Between the other 3 dishes it was determined that they all tasted the same, same flavor they were just present differently. They did tell us they ran out of aguas chiles, I remember that I was specifically told that's what this place is good for. Sigh... We got our check, paid and left. A few minutes later everyone's hand started to swell, I'm guessing from all the sodium in the sauces they use or the MSG as MSG is one of the things everyone is allergic to. I gave this place one star because I appreciated the attention to detail from our waitress who told me not to eat the salsa negra. Sadly I didn't find my Mariscos place. read more

Food was good, pretty expensive I paid $20 for a small agua chile but the plate was big.. Pro: good food (what else is there to go for? I know I know) Cons: really cramped space, the set up is awful.. a bit humid. The staff wasn't helpful at all I walked in sat down and the waitress helped someone that came in 5 minutes after us first. We waited about 10 minutes to even get menus or speak to someone who worked there. The customer service is crap, nobody even bothered to come and ask how things were going through out the whole time we were there. My partner had to get up to ask for more chips and again to ask for the bill. The table was dirty when we came in and there was only about 10 napkins in the holder.. they don't seem to clean any of their salsas or salt shakers either. The staff had messy hair and dirty clothes. I wouldn't be surprised if i get food poisoning. Would recommend this place FOR TAKE OUT don't even bother going in to sit down. read more

The ceviche is great but sadly I will no longer be coming here due to the fact that they changed the way they make the ceviche. When I got home my cup was about 90% cooked full shrimp. It was not like this before the last time I went, it's usually cooked in the juice and cut up. They are now cooking the shrimp in water and then throwing them in the juice.
