The service was not good. Our server barely came to check on us. We had to ask someone else for waters and extra napkins and our waitress saw and came over as we were talking to the other waitress. Not good service at all!! Then we got the chicken wings. Our stomachs started to hurt after we ate them and brought the leftovers home. We gave one wing to my dad and we all got sick that night with bad stomach aches. A couple days later we saw a tiktok about code violations at señor sushi in Peoria about their chicken not being at the right temperature and etc!!! I've NVER HAD THE SERVICE I HAD YESTERDAY! HORRIBLE!! I went in yesterday evening. I ordered some chicken wings half buffalo and half dried. They came out with half barbecue and half dried and I let the server (that was not my server) know that those were not my wings that I had ordered half buffalo and half tried so she said let me check in the kitchen. She comes back out and she says oh yes, let me take these back for you. They'll make you the ones that you want. So I said OK. She comes back out in two minutes with the same chicken wings. The only difference was that they had cleaned the barbecue sauce off the wings and added the buffalo. I looked very disgusted because I know they probably just rinsed them off and added the buffalo on top... so I told the server hey it looks like they just rinsed off the barbecue and added the buffalo on top. She looked at me and she said what are you talking about and I said look at these wings and she took the rack back and she said OK we're going to make the ones that you. ... she comes out about 10 minutes later with the SAME RACK!!!! at this point I obviously ate the chicken wings because I was starving and I was really craving chicken wings. The only thing that did save those wings at the end was that they were very crispy. And that was not my server who was taking the wings back-and-forth that was another server server only checked on us two times.... I will definitely not be going back to this place. I don't want to imagine what else goes back in that kitchen. I am very disgusted and.. I love the food. But HATE the service. I've probably only gotten decent service one out of ten times I've been in. I can overlook a lot because I bartend and serve myself however when I went in with my family for MY BIRTHDAY dinner and the service was dismissive I was extremely disappointed. I even waited till the next day so that I wouldn't be as upset. My servers name was Brenda. She thinks she can get by on her good looks and even though my sister was paying she kept addressing the only man at the table who was my husband. As she came by we had to quickly ask for anything we might need because she wasn't stopping to check, she was just running past our table. We assumed it's because our group was 7 and I think 7 or more they just add automatic gratuity. When she finally came to the table I said we would like to order dessert, ignored me, dropped the check off to the only man at the table. We had to get up and order dessert with another employee who then tried to charge at the table and when we told her that our server had ignored us when we asked for dessert she continued with the transaction with our as much as a simple apology for her coworker. It seems like it happens a lot and they just all cover for each other. The only one who seemed on top of their game was a bubbly flamboyant man who greeted and sat us. He was clearing tables, relaying messages back to servers, seating, and doing Togo orders. I don't expect anything to change with my silly review. 3 1/2 Stars: Dined here with my co-workers. Service was very slow from the moment wr walked in. Everyone seemed busy, but the restaurant wasn't even half full. Food: Miso Soup Fried Shrimp Tempura Tuna Special Roll The miso soup was served very hot, just how I like it. Very good flavor. The fried shrimp tempura was plated nicely, and it had Onion Rings, which was a plus. The Tuna Special had spicy tuna, shrimp tempura topped with fresh tuna, cucumber, crunchy , avocado, and eel sauce. This sushi roll was delcious. Overall, it's a great spot to dine. I absolutely love this place!! The day I went it was margarita national day, and they had an amazing special on all of their margaritas. Their food is always a 10/10 the ladies there are always so much fun and very helpful. It's a fun twist on sushi that you must try. This place is the place to get sushi if you don't necessarily like to eat raw fish. I enjoy the variety of choices to choose from; they have amazing tasty options. My friend and I went during happy hour (1pm to 6pm) and we enjoyed ourselves. The service was good, could have been a little better since we arrived when the place wanted super busy on a Wednesday. The place is overall nice with the closed booths with low lighting with large tables in the middle for larger parties. Met a few friends here on Sunday afternoon and was unfortunately not super impressed. The menu is a good size, the selection of sushi is diverse and original, but the service and food quality are greatly lacking. We had to wait for a few minutes as there were five of us and we were seated right at the front of the restaurant. This unfortunately caused us to be at the mercy of the brutal sun that came through the door every time it opened. Every time we looked up or turned around we were blinded. I think having a barrier between the door and the restaurant would help a lot with this. The inside of the restaurant was actually super cool with tons of red and black accents and televisions. We ordered edamame and fried calamari as our appetizers. The fried calamari was a lot of breading and very little calamari. The calamari also came with onion rings, which were again more breading than anything else. The best parts of the fried calamari was actually the salad that was underneath it and the creamy mayo dip. We each ordered an individual roll and a order of shrimp fried rice to share. We decided to eat the rolls family style by passing them around--vegas roll, poison ivy roll, a couple of carne asada roll, and the minera roll. The rolls were definitely worth the $12 price as you got a good amount of food, but the quality just wasnt there. There was tons of breading, rice, and just lack of flavor and umph. The only spice came from the jalapeño cheese that was on the poison ivy roll. The fried rice was such a disappointment as well as it was burnt--literally burnt. Everything from the shrimp, to the corn, green onions, and the rice itself was burnt looking and tasting. We brought this to the attention of the waitress and she quickly took it away and off of our bill. Also, it took forever for us to get our food and it was not super busy. We were not really checked on during the process at all and then when we did get our food we were not checked on again. I think that if we were allowed to stay in the restaurant for the rest of the day we could have--we were virtually ignored. They offer traditional and Mexican style sushi for lunch we had some warm salted edamame and two specialty rolls " Shrimp Killer " and a " Rainbow roll " both were fresh and delicious we ate every bite. It's interesting to me that Phoenix has multiple establishments that embrace the fusion of Mexican and Japanese cuisine; this place being one of them. The menu includes a variety of classic sushi rolls, but there are also multiple pages dedicated to special rolls (usually fried) featuring ingredients that normally shine in Mexican dishes, such as carne asada. The restaurant is huge and has a dimmed light, "set the mood" atmosphere, but we ordered takeout and there was a wait of about 20 minutes. I got the Las Vegas roll as a recommendation and it turned out to be pretty delicious. I'd like to return whenever I am craving some quick bites of sushi. read more

If you like sushi, its very freesh and i suggest asking for the senior sushi sauce for a little extra spice. If you arent particularly fond of raw fish thry their carne asada roll which is cooked steak wrapped like a sushi roll. The chicken cordon bleau is also amazing.
