I like Senor Taco Express. It's certainly not like other fast food taco places I've been to. The found is really a combination of different real Mexican food. I had street tacos which were small and flavorful. I mixed the extra that came off them with a side order of vegetables to make almost a third dish! Go in and try it yourself to find what you like. I just had a small meal but could certainly have had a larger meal to fill up in. Surprisingly, it will be easy for many of you to find! It's the old Jack In The Box location on the east side on central and Monterey. One thing I did like . They don't scrimp with the napkins they give you. I have to update my review for the new Senor Taco on Central. I was given a coupon for a $5.00 burrito from their sister location to go try the new location on Central. The manager would not accept it, and not honoring coupons is one of my pet peeves, so this location has lost my business. I can now see why this location is struggling. A good manager would have accepted the coupon. Instead, he lost me as a customer because of his decision. Thankfully, there are other locations. read more

I just ordered through uber eats and I ordered beans with my burrito, yet when I got my burrito, I had no beans. So I called the store to let them know and the lady argued with me telling me I had beans with it when I opened it and looked there were not beans. Then instead of trying to figure out a solution she told me "you can call UberEats". I run a restaurant and whenever issues happen with UberEats I still offer a way to fix things with the customer. We were in town yesterday and it was around lunchtime so we looked for a taco place close to the VA hospital there in Phoenix. As we pulled up I saw the sign and honestly cried because we have a Senior Taco within walking distance of our house in Mesa that's simply terrible and I swore to myself that I'd never go back to that one and I haven't. But not being 100% sure we went ahead and ordered anyway it wasn't until the hubby opened his mouth telling them that they needed a location near us that we were told that they own the location near us. IDK what happened but I found myself being brutally honest about my experience and poor quality of the cooking at the Mesa store and out appears the owner Rodrigo. Let me tell you I expressed my frustration to him and he was so nice and apologetic he seemed genuinely caring about customers and what they think of the food. He brought our food to the table and asked that I speak to him about the food when we get done eating and we did. The quality of food here at the Phoenix location is the polar opposite of what you get at the East Mesa location. The carne asada was nice bite size tender strips of meat that was made to order topped with fresh ingredients of onion and cilantro.. The tortilla were hot and fresh it was a joy to eat there tacos. He also brought out some freshly made rolled tacos topped with onion and guacamole that became my favorite while eating. The restaurant was very clean and they have a nice outside patio that may be fur baby friendly call ahead because I can't be 100% sure so please don't quote me on that. Given that I'm a heart patient what I would love to see on the menu is a grilled fish taco because I have to try and stay away from deep fried foods. I guess what I would love to say to the owner is Thank You for listening to my complaint with kindness and compassion you represent what good owners should be. I got a California burrito bowl that was pretty large, but the fries definitely needed another minute or 2 in the fryer. I really hope soggy white fries aren't how they're typically served. The carne asada was decent but expect a few fatty bites that can't be chewed unless you want to see the dentist in the morning. I will definitely go back and probably try chicken options. Have came here 3 times and each time get the rolled tacos. They're very yummy. Lots of cheese and guac. And it's good real guac, not some green paste other places try to pass for guac. However this last time I went the guac had a lot of black pepper in it? Interesting choice. Seemed like it was a mistake. Also I've only done drive thru and this last time, out came the handheld device asking for a tip. Seriously? I'm going thru the drive thru. Went yesterday and got the California burrito and 2 fish tacos. I'll start with the fish tacos.... They were delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sauce and other fresh ingredients were really good. The California burrito on the other hand was pretty subpar. The fries inside were soggy and not crispy at all, it didn't have cheese which was weird for a California, and the Carne Asada was just ughh!!! It completely lacked flavor. For $11 and change I expected better. A tastier larger burrito can be had at Chipotle or any of the places ending in "bertos." I was super excited to give it a try since it was right around the corner, but for the taste/value, I probably won't be back. However, this location is brand new so maybe they'll be better once all the kinks are worked out. read more
