This place hit the spot when I was craving a breakfast burrito! We got there pretty early so we got served our food fast and the inside was cute and small. The salsas that come with the burritos are definitely not spicy, but they are great for added flavor (especially the green). They are huge as well so one burrito is good enough to keep you full for a while. read more

PHX Burrito House checks the box for a delicious breakfast burrito! We ordered the breakfast burrito with egg cheese and bacon and it was excellent! Authentic tortilla, stuffed with egg and cheese and bacon and they give you homemade green and red salsa. We also ordered the Arizona burrito with the guac on the side and it's a delicious carne asada burrito! The potatoes are fried, so may want to leave it out if watching your waistline, but they taste good! Thank you for the great food and service- we'll be back! read more

I must have driven by this place a million times on my way to work but never had time to stop in (or when I did, they weren't open). I stopped by this morning on my way to work to try out a breakfast burrito. I like my breakfast burritos with a lot of eggs and veggies and they have exactly that - a "veggie breakfast burrito". I got it to go and ate it at work. Service was friendly and quick! While I was waiting for my burrito, I scoped out the restaurant and there is a lot of seating inside as well as patio seating outside. They have some cool vintage Mexican paintings on the walls. Aside from breakfast burritos, they also have burritos for other times of the day as well as tacos and chips. They make their own salsa (both salsa Verde and regular tomato salsa) in house and it is very fresh and delicious. My burrito was excellent. There is a fair amount of parking in the small lot out front and it was not busy when I came, so it was easy to find a spot. read more

Great food and great service, the pricing for the portion size is big, all in all everything was amazing, such a cute little spot as well with an adorable atmosphere. The only thing I could say was wrong if I was forced to nitpick was they were out of churros, as sad as that was the size of the tacos filled me up anyway so I'll just have to get one next time and there will be a next time ! read more

Friend and I stopped here for breakfast burritos after a hike. We got the carne asada burritos and although it was food, there was hardly any carne in it! The salsa wasn't spicy but was ok. We loved the fresh tortillas. Overall it was a good brunch. read more

Uh!! Such a cute space just tucked on the street! The service was so nice and lovely and with it being a family owned spot, that makes it even better. I like a simple breakfast burrito and this place did not disappoint. Medium sized with red and green in house made salsa on the side: YES. The place is tucked away with a small lot to park in. We tried the House Favorite breakfast burrito and added cheese and ham and it was so good! Everything was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The grilled onions and jalapeños gave it so much flavor, and both the red and green sauces were to die for. Definitely one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in Phoenix. The burrito was okay, and for the price I don't think it was worth it. Very egg heavy and the egg had that burnt or over cooked flavor. Chorizo, cheese, and potatoes were hard to find in the burrito. The salsa really helped bring flavor without the salsa no flavor. Just moved to the area and was hoping to really like this place, but I'm sorry to say I won't be back. read more

Stopped in to grab a chorizo breakfast burrito and a green chile pork burrito. Service was quick and efficient and plenty of spots to wait for your order. They have dine in with a few tables inside and outside. Our order was ready in under 10 minutes. The burritos are pretty big and can easily feed 2 people. The tortillas are homemade and super tasty. The chorizo burrito was really good. We added egg, cheese, potato and pinto beans. The green Chile pork burrito we added pinto as well. Both were really tasty and the family enjoyed. PHX Burrito House should be on your to-do list for a good, reliable basic burrito with fresh-tasting filling. I got the shredded beef burrito and it was muy delicioso. You can really sense that comfort food charm! The price and quality of fillings are standard, but the portion was fat with lots of meat inside. An extra star for the service, because I ordered takeout and asked them to bring it out to my car since my baby was sleeping in the back, and they were happy to do so! I appreciated this very much! WOW WOW WOW!!! This place was soooo bomb. I ordered the egg, potato, cheese, grilled onion and grilled jalapeño burrito. I wish I added some type of protein, but either way it was so delicious. I liked both the green and red salsa, but they didn't have a spicy at all. It's very small inside and in the parking lot. The customer service was great! I will be back. read more

Came here at 1:00pm and it was pretty empty, assuming it was after the lunch rush. Carne Asada Burrito was solid. Portions were filling and it was pretty balanced with all the ingredients. The services is great, everyone is super nice and attentive. It is a small place but we were able to get a table. The sizes are big so if you aren't a big eater you could probably share with someone. The salsa was good nothing wrong with it. It had good flavor and very little spice. The carne asada was just ok, the burrito needed something to help cut the heaviness of the meat,rice and beans. The quesadilla was also a great size lots of cheese. While everything was pretty good, the meat is not grilled like it should be to be consider carne asada. The name literally means grilled meat. I think if they could start cooking that in charcoal grill, the flavor would be amazing. Glad I tired this place out, would probably not be back tho. The company I work for ordered us burritos from here and I was shocked how unappetizing they were considering the high reviews. I got a bacon breakfast burrito and it was so dry and flavorless I couldn't even get it down. I took 2 bites and gave it to one of the young kids I work with. It was supposed to have cheese which it didn't so maybe that would have helped but it was just dry potatoes, little bits of diced up bacon and rubbery eggs. Such a bummer. read more

The burritos were decent. Their eggs and potatoes need to be seasoned for actual flavor. They added beef to mine, without my knowledge so now I'm thinking they might have charged me extra. My burrito didn't seem to have onions in it or enough of it, and very little jalapeño with no spice (I was hoping for spiciness ). read more

I come here a lot and I usually love the food! I always get the chicken burrito and it hits every single time but tonight I went in an hour before close and they were out of chicken so I decided to try something new and tried the shrimp burrito. Man, I was super disappointed! I literally felt like I was biting into nothing but cabbage there was very little shrimp. Not worth it at all and felt like it was a waste of money. Not to hate on the establishment because I love love the chicken burrito but the shrimp is absolutely not up to par. read more

So when I came back out to Phoenix recently to visit some friends, this was one of the first places I knew I needed to come back to because I had built it up so much in my head over time. And somehow... it was just as good again. The meat tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and you can literally watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even better. There's something so satisfying about seeing the tacos being made fresh instead of food just appearing from the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The servers were also super friendly and welcoming both times I came here, which honestly makes such a difference. Everyone had great energy, the service was quick, and the whole place just feels inviting and authentic. I honestly think the fact that I remembered this place so vividly for so long says everything. Usually when you revisit a restaurant after hyping it up in your head for years, it ends up disappointing you. But this place tasted exactly how I remembered it, fresh, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth the obsession. Safe to say this place is officially a mandatory stop for me anytime I'm back in Phoenix now.

Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. If you like Mexican food and seafood, you need to try it. Great food, big portions, and a menu that makes it hard to stop ordering.

Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
