I went to Arizona! Woohoo! First time here and the main two things I wanted to try. Here were sonoran hot dogs and chimichangas. So here I am, trying out the Sonoran Hotdog 5/5 Unfortunately, we missed the parking area. So we had to walk, there wouldn't say to walkable area. But the hotdog was worth the walk over. The surface was pretty fast and the cashier was super friendly! This is definitely a local hot dog place.So the ambiance isn't too fancy, but you know, if the food is good the food is good, it doesn't matter what the place looks likes like. I don't think I'm gonna go be going back to Arizona anytime soon, but this is definitely a place to try out! read more

Amazing friendly and attentive service. We were greeted by every person working when we walked up! They have outdoor and indoor seating, we sat outside for the real hotdog stand experience (iykyk) - we ordered 2 aguas, 3 Sonoran hot dogs, and salshi papas. Aguas are the perfect agua not overly sweet and don't taste like they're made from a packet. Sonoran dogs are authentic. Yo, this must be my 50th+ time at eating something from Lupita's. Back in the day, I used to live in the area and even after I moved away, one of my best friends remained within a mile of this location, so I'm always finding excuses to stop by. And that was basically the reason I was there Saturday night. Initially planning on hanging out at my buddies house, we pulled up and found out that he was fast asleep so decided to get a late night bite to eat and who better than Lupitas. If you're in the area, keep in mind that you need to have some street in you to pull up on this location after 10 PM. It's not dicey, just a bit hard to find and the parking lot is located in back of the establishment, so there's that. However, they stay open until 2 AM on weekends, which you cannot beat. And their selection is pretty broad with several key Mexican staples, but my go to is the namesake, which is the Sonoran style hot dog. It cannot be beat and is usually whipped up and handed to you within minutes of ordering. They also offer a nice selection of desserts with the strawberries and cream being one of my favorites. And they have several aqua Fresca's and I usually get the Limon. They do queue a pretty decent line, but they run two registers as well as to go orders. This is definitely a spot you want to visit over and over again. read more

The buns are always nice and warm and toasted and the combination of all of the ingredients just hit right together . It's just so delicious! It's a must do for my friends when they come to Phoenix. We had just moved to Arizona and heard that we had to try a Sonora dog. We looked up the highest rated places on Yelp and headed to Lupita's. Our server was so sweet and made us feel comfortable as we practiced our few words of Spanish. The Sonora dog was really good. It included a bacon wrapped hotdog that included beans, onions, and tomatoes. At less than $6.00, it was well worth our drive and the price! Not your regular hot dog stand but it's a food tent. They have several chairs & tables inside of a large, enclosed tent located in a parking lot and only open in the evening. These Sonoran hot dogs have a layer of bacon wrapped around and grilled to perfection. They serve them in a bolillo-style hot dog bun and topped with pinto beans, tomato, chopped onion, cheese and topped with sauce. Yummy goodness! They boast an extensive condiment bar that includes various sauces, salsas, as well as fresh and marinated veggies to create a side dish to accompany your dog. Just ordered from this restaurant and we only received 6 of the 16 items. Yet, we were charged fully. If the order could not be fulfilled, the order should have never been accepted. The Dasher had to notify me of the wait because the food was taking far too long. Very disappointed in what we received and the quality of what was received. I cannot recommend this place enough! I went to try Lupitas tonight: i've doordashed it before and it's always been delicious. Me and my boyfriend ordered a coke, a hot dog, and elote in a cup. We fell a few dollars short and asked the gentleman working the cashier to take the coke off. He let us pay with what we had and still gave us the coke! True hole in the wall with Mexican style hot dogs among countless other neat foods! I had a very quick impromptu meal here and was left very satisfied with my experience! I had trouble ordering food because I speak little to no Spanish and made things a little bit more complicated than I had to, but they were incredibly patient and kind with me. They grabbed who I assumed was the owner or manager to assist me and he seemed like he genuinely enjoyed helping me! Although I wasn't necessarily blown away by the food and it wasn't exactly inexpensive, it was still solid and very fun. I would definitely come back to try other foods. Came here last week with my sisters craving an elote. Shortly after ordering the cashier gave me a dirty look just because I didn't leave a tip--which is not required. After waiting way too long the food came out and looked nothing like how it was displayed on the menu. Was craving a Sonoran hot dog and so happy I went to Lupita's. As others have stated, it's in a parking lot with a tent. However behind the cooking station, there is a building in which you can sit inside if you prefer indoor seating. There's plenty of items on the menu ranging from hot dogs, cheese fries, tostilocos, and aguas frescas. The service is very friendly. I ordered the Sonoran hot dog and it was amazing. The meat was cooked perfectly, the bread was so soft, and the toppings were so savory. Will absolutely be back to try more items off their menu! read more

Was driving down here to go get the tacos, but the hot dog stand caught my eye. Was curious as to what they were selling as the location is in a parking lot with a tent. Sonoran hot dogs is what they make here apparently. No idea at this time existed. Limited English when ordering, but was not an issue, as you can practice your Spanish. Menu on the wall. The other option on the menu is apparently on guessing somewhat like nachos. I order the basic hotdog with all the toppings on top. See picture for toppings. They do have mayonnaise on top, which actually currently goes fine with the hot dog, never tried it before like that. They open pretty late at night, which is nice of you around the area. I also love the bun that they use, in the way they lightly toasted up and soft. They also have a topping bar that he can add more cheese, spicy salsa, mushrooms, pickle, etc. That is always a plus. The hotdog itself was decent. Not dried. Moist and juicy. Come check this place out. So after me and my friend ate a hotdog, we walked around the corner and went to go try to tacos. I love Lupita's!! We don't get to indulge as often as we would like. But, relatives in town is a fantastic excuse to introduce them to their Magic Dogs that are so delicious!! We love experiencing eating outdoors with like minded foodies! The atmosphere is casual and very family friendly! The staff is always so helpful and eager to serve you their tasty treats!
