We aren't familiar with this area of the Phoenix metro area, but my wife wanted to go shopping here, so I looked up restaurants in this area. Doodle Dogs seemed to have the best reviews of anyone in the area, so we decided to try it. Boy, are we glad we did!! We both ordered "the Papa", the quarter pound polish sausage, and it was delicious. We can't wait for another shopping trip there so we can try other dogs on the menu. There aren't tables or chairs for dining, so we sat on a ledge/wall near our car. We got the Yaqui (original; $6) and the Chile-dogo ($7.50). They were amazing! We couldn't tell much of a different between the Yaqui and Chile-dogo in terms of taste (and presentation is very similar too). Both came with a chile pepper on the side. These hot dogs are LOADED!!! I've never had such loaded Sonoran hot dogs, but I loved it! They are on the smaller side, but that's why they're less than $10 (which I think is a great price for these). If you are very hungry or just eat a lot, I would recommend getting more than one. One was enough for me to get to a "good full" because I wasn't starving at the time. It was really messy to eat, so make sure you get napkins. There wasn't any spice to our hot dogs, so next time I want to try one that is spicy; I loved the Yaqui though. The workers were all very friendly and the service was relatively fast considering it was decently busy at the time. I can't wait to go back!
