Found this little gem of a brunch house for after church. We beat the crowd and had a delightful brunch of red chili Chilaquiles with a side of grits and my DIL had the ham, eggs and grits. This was our first time here and we enjoyed it. One of us had breakfast and the other had lunch. For breakfast, we had a sausage omelette that came with smoky grits and a biscuit. We also ordered an A1 melt that came with french fries. The melt came with sautéed onions and bacon. Surprisingly the lunch order also came with a cup of soup. Today's soup of the day was cream of Reuben soup. There were small chunks of corn beef, and a good Reuben flavor. While everything on the lunch order was wonderful, the omelette did leave something to be desired. There was very little meat on it. The star of the breakfast order was the biscuit. It was absolutely wonderful. From the time we entered everyone was cheerful and attentive. We recommend stopping by for a meal. read more

We stopped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Plenty of parking around back and we didn't have to wait long for a table. The hostess was very friendly and brought us water right away. It was Japanese alkaline water and tasted great. I had the 4x2 which is two pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage patties. I substituted the regular pancakes for s'mores pancakes. Everything was delicious. My girl had the cinnamon swirl pancakes combo with eggs and bacon. I tried one and it was delicious as well. The coffee was good and the atmosphere around us was busting but pleasant. We were surprised by how reasonable to prices were for everything, and we were out for under $50. Being from Vegas that's almost unheard of for a brunch spot so this was a nice surprise and added to a great experience. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. read more

A very well deserved five star review of Hope: indeed giving me "hope" for the brunch scene in midtown. I discovered this place in my favorite app.. and have had two wonderful experiences thus far. It's almost the perfect breakfast place for all the small reasons, the ice in the drinks, the perfect tasting soda, fresh squeezed oj, the jam packets! It's all nostalgic and really perfect. The staff keep it moving; it's been crowded both times and I've felt well taken care of. It's busy, it's active and its delicious. The chicken fried steak was awesome today! I wanted to really like this place because I see it all the time on tik tok and it has great reviews. The staff here is amazing and they do have good amount of parking. The food is just ok. To be honest it is very typical diner style food and lacking flavor. There are other brunch places that offer similar items with better quality items. The coffee was very acidic and not my favorite. My husband said the burger was lacking flavor, no seasoning on the meat. the pancakes were dry and were not that good. The syrup was also very running and did not really help the pancakes. Hope's Brunch House is the best Chicken Fried Steak I have had since leaving Texas 25 years ago. Super tender, not a single chewy bite. Just the right amount of crunch on the batter. The gravy is excellent, though I always prefer chunks of sausage in my gravy, but that's a rare thing to find in a restaurant. Their home fries were better than most places. They're often very crunchy/chewy, but these were just perfect, even for someone with no teeth. The biscuit was good. I should have ordered extra gravy for it... Fresh-squeezed OJ is WONDERFUL. I really thought the alkaline water would be different, but it was pretty normal. Definitely better than tap water, but no unusual flavors. It comes out slightly cool, I would ask for ice next time. My guest had the crepes sampler. From the photos here on Yelp I thought it didn't look like much food, but that is decieving, It's actually a very large amount of crepes with tons of fresh fruit. The place doesn't look like an old IHOP. It's nicely decorated and comfortable. Our server, Adrian, was top-notch. There are at least half a dozen other dishes I want to try. Found this spot on AAdvantage dining for AA cardholders as it is a participating 5x the miles dining spot. Service was excellent and the employees were very friendly. Food was good but basic and fairly pricey IMO. I had a veggie omelette with toast (comes with 1 slice) and hash browns as my side for 15 bucks. BFF ordered the country fried steak and eggs (over easy), hash browns, and a pancake for 17 bucks plus a bloody Mary for 11 bucks. Portions were decent but not heaping as I had expected (for my plate), but BFF said his was just right. What a darling breakfast spot! My husband and I had stayed the night at the downtown Sheridan because we had a big birthday party for my 60th birthday. The next morning we were looking for a good downtown breakfast spot. My yelpers did not steer me wrong. The service here was outstanding! And the food was very very good. Came here with my coworker to grab some food after an early flight from the east coast. Staff were super friendly. Coffee was warmed up often without having to ask. The chicken and waffles were terrific. Tasted really good without syrup but I added maple syrup to get the full experience. I skipped the gravy but my coworker said it was good. It was pretty easy to find and we were seated right away, wasn't overly busy around 8:30 on a Sunday morning! For drinks I got an iced coffee with vanilla and my husband got a hot coffee, they serve organic coffee. For meals I got the tofu scramble I think it was called and my husband got two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. They have a bunch of things labeled as vegan/vegetarian on their menu, but unfortunately they cook everything in beef tallow now, making it not vegan/vegetarian. I was in the mood for potatoes so I was a lil sad to hear that. I just got double fruit as my side. Also got a pancake with banana on top (my son's favorite fruit!). Food was ready impressively fast! Unfortunately for me, it was not great. I am a huge fan of tofu in all shapes and forms, but this was watery bland cubes that not even their in house made hot sauce could fully fix. It wasn't bad but definitely wasn't good. Pancake was yummy aside from a piece or two of inedible looking banana on top. Fruit was good, my son and I enjoyed it! My husband's only complaint was that the toast somehow tasted strange to him. But he liked the rest of it. The coffee was fine, mine was a little watery but it was still totally drinkable. Overall, this isn't my favorite brunch place but it's solid and a good option to go to with the family. The menu has a lot of great brunch options to try! I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was delicious, white meat and not dry at all, I liked that it was still juicy. I didn't enjoy the waffle though since it had bits of bacon integrated into it. Which sounds delicious but the smoky taste of the bacon overpowered the waffle so I couldn't taste the waffle much (but if you love bacon, go for it!). The two x four pancakes were fluffy, but other than that, the sausage and eggs were okay. Some of the staff members were very friendly greeting us but our server seemed like he would rather be elsewhere, wasn't the happiest but he did check on us frequently. Went here a short while back with the family and a friend and her family. I ordered all sides - Biscuits and gravy - gravy under seasoned and tasted a little floury Grits - under seasoned. 2 eggs over easy Hubs - Cinnamon swirl slammers - Cloyingly sweet. Nothing spectacular. Hubby said only difference between this and a mcgriddle is the texture. Teen- Strawberry Banana Nutella crepe - He said it was very cloying but was good. My friend had all sorts of issues with her breakfast and mentioned it to the server. The owner came over and kinda had a we're always right vibe and smirked at my friends issues. Pretty off-putting. We came in to fuel up after running a 5k and we were amazed by all the amazing options. I had the Chia Bowl, which was so so good. My wife had the Lox Bagel which she loved. The coffee was amazing and the staff was super friendly. I can't wait for them to get their liquor license so they can serve mimosas and Bloody Mary's. Stay tuned. It's coming. Hope's is just a quick walk from my office so I had to go check it out. I'm always looking for a good breakfast option nearby, though today I stopped in around lunch. I saw they have a Lox n' Bagel on the menu and wanted to try it. It was good, though I really would have preferred fresh sliced avocado rather than the smashed avocado which was more along the consistency of guacamole. The menu just says avocado so not sure if it was supposed to be sliced and they were out or if this is the way it comes. It came with a side of fruit which was delicious. While I may not order the lox n' Bagel again, there is so much on the menu that looked really good and I know I'll be stopping in again! Maybe even dragging a few coworkers out for lunch too! After leaving the Heard Museum we were looking for a place close by to satisfy our breakfast and lunch cravings. As soon as I saw "Hope" on the sign (my name also) I was drawn in. Our server told us the they had only been open for about 3 weeks but everything ran smoothly. We were seated by Hope herself and later talked with her nephew who told us that Hope & her husband had owned 3 similar restaurants in Texas so they are by no means newcomers to the business. My husband had country fried steak with eggs, fruit and pancakes. I had a chicken panini with peppers, tomato, feta cheese, spinach and pesto aioli. It was moist and delicious.
