Everyone there was friendly. Let's start with that! My server was very attentive to my every need. I ordered the French toast combo. I was a little disappointed with the amount of French toast. One thick piece couldn't half. I got two slices of bacon, which was perfectly cooked to my "bacon very soft" the pile of eggs was humongous and was certainly more than two eggs unless they were ostrich eggs. I asked for lots of butter, which came in the form of a pile of little prepackaged cubes. My fault that I had to open so many:) Certainly would've been a five star if I were not disappointed in the French toast portion. It was my favorite as a kid growing up. But I'd give it another half a star from four due to the scrambled egg portion if I could. When you first walk into the restaurant, you are greeted by Hope herself. Its not common to find the owner of the restaurant working, but this truly is a local gem. The menu is extensive, as you can see from my many pictures. We went for breakfast and our server just happened to be Hope's son . He was outgoing and friendly , asking about our trip. The complementary alkaline water was a pleasant surprise. My hercules omelette was delicious, fresh ingredients and extremely flavorful. I asked for hot sauce and was given Hopes home made sause that was superb. We also had the biscuits sandwiches and the biscuits were soft and buttery, homemade all the way. Been here several times now, and have brought friends and family too. Everyone loves Hope's. I have seen some other reviewers complain that the food is "basic" here... I don't know what they were looking for, but they completely missed that everything here is done to perfection. Most times, I can't help but get the Country fried steak, though I would really like to try more of the menu. From my friends' and family's comments, I can recommend the traditional Benedict, the Salmon Benedict, the crepes sampler, the breakfast burger. and the steak and eggs. Basic..? A very nice place with excellent service. We came in on a Sunday morning around 9am and even though it was already starting to be loud and lively, we were seated right away. Although the coffee we ordered was fine, some of my party that added the creamer on the table noticed there were some curdled bits in their coffee. The waitstaff did immediately come and provided fresh creamer though, so service is great. I ordered the All American with eggs, bacon, and grits. I did like how we could actually get extra crispy bacon, and they even checked with us if it's crispy enough. The grits also was good enough that I didn't even have to add additional butter. This was our first time here and we enjoyed it. One of us had breakfast and the other had lunch. For breakfast, we had a sausage omelette that came with smoky grits and a biscuit. We also ordered an A1 melt that came with french fries. The melt came with sautéed onions and bacon. Surprisingly the lunch order also came with a cup of soup. Today's soup of the day was cream of Reuben soup. There were small chunks of corn beef, and a good Reuben flavor. While everything on the lunch order was wonderful, the omelette did leave something to be desired. There was very little meat on it. The star of the breakfast order was the biscuit. It was absolutely wonderful. From the time we entered everyone was cheerful and attentive. We recommend stopping by for a meal. read more

I wanted to really like this place because I see it all the time on tik tok and it has great reviews. The staff here is amazing and they do have good amount of parking. The food is just ok. To be honest it is very typical diner style food and lacking flavor. There are other brunch places that offer similar items with better quality items. The coffee was very acidic and not my favorite. My husband said the burger was lacking flavor, no seasoning on the meat. the pancakes were dry and were not that good. The syrup was also very running and did not really help the pancakes. Found this spot on AAdvantage dining for AA cardholders as it is a participating 5x the miles dining spot. Service was excellent and the employees were very friendly. Food was good but basic and fairly pricey IMO. I had a veggie omelette with toast (comes with 1 slice) and hash browns as my side for 15 bucks. BFF ordered the country fried steak and eggs (over easy), hash browns, and a pancake for 17 bucks plus a bloody Mary for 11 bucks. Portions were decent but not heaping as I had expected (for my plate), but BFF said his was just right. We stopped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Plenty of parking around back and we didn't have to wait long for a table. The hostess was very friendly and brought us water right away. It was Japanese alkaline water and tasted great. I had the 4x2 which is two pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage patties. I substituted the regular pancakes for s'mores pancakes. Everything was delicious. My girl had the cinnamon swirl pancakes combo with eggs and bacon. I tried one and it was delicious as well. The coffee was good and the atmosphere around us was busting but pleasant. We were surprised by how reasonable to prices were for everything, and we were out for under $50. He said the crepes were as delicious as they looked, so that had to be pretty amazing. My wife is a bit of a corned beef hash aficionado and was very satisfied with her dish. She got some grits on the side. I could not have been more grateful that she filled up on the corned beef hash because those grits were delicious! For myself, I ordered the whole hog skillet with sausage gravy. It came with a pleasantly surprising lot of sausage, bacon and ham. It was simple, home-cooking perfection. Loved it!
