Cute, cozy place, but the food is not so great. I ordered the classic breakfast and the eggs did not taste fresh. The seating area is very loud. I was not a huge fan but try it for yourself!
Cutest little french style cafe. Small space, but the service is quick and we only waited about 20min on a Sunday! Delicious french toast (made with brioche!!) and really great omelette. The scramble was honestly just ok. Nothing wrong with it, but something you could easily make at home with no noticeable difference. Come here for the cute ambiance and absolutely don't skip the french toast.
Lydia's is a place you might need to make reservations beforehand. I came and all the internal seating was taken but they allowed me to sit at the bar area. I decided to try their French toast and chocolate croissant. What I like about this place's French toast over all other places is that they cook it deliciously soft. Unfortunately, the chocolate croissant sucked. My meal cost me $21.27 (this is after the InKind discount and including the tip). Service was above average and the whole interior design was simple and sleek. I highly suggest waiting for Costco to put their InKind gift cards on sale and buying them since Lydia's Kitchen is part of the InKind lineup; this method gets you a 35% discount on this place and a veritable plethora of others. What I love is that they have a shop filled with other items such as skincare and toiletries and I was happy to get a 35% discount on these using the InKind app.
Word to mouth from a friend, as it turned out this is my new favorite spot. The food we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee was strong, as the way should be. The freshly squeezed orange juice tasted so good and fresh. Staff were friendly and quick services with no complaints. The noisy was a bit louder than I expected, but that wasn't a bid deal. I can't wait to come back soon, especially to dine out in the patio when the weather is nice. The whole dining experience was superb!

When you enter, there's a small market area with cute kitchen things you can get for yourself, or would be great as gifts. Since this spot is quite busy, I would highly recommend getting a reservation. If you need to wait a bit, you can browse their market, hang out outside in their waiting area, or check out some of the other businesses in the same plaza! I got a banana latte and the fried chicken sandwich. I thought it would be difficult to go wrong with a fried chicken sandwich, but the chicken itself under the breading was a bit...hard and almost crunchy? Not really what I expected nor what I wanted from fried chicken. It was also super loud inside - it was hard to hear the other people at the table even though we were right next to each other. It seemed like the design of the restaurant didn't have much to help absorb the sounds. Overall, I thought the restaurant itself was cute, and the food was very average, so I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Lydia's Kitchen & Market is a European inspired all day café in Phoenix with a bright, farmhouse- style vibe, indoor & outdoor seating, and a curated market full of home goods, kitchen finds, pantry staples, and gifts. I kept it classic with: Classic Breakfast Two eggs scrambled, sausage patty, country potatoes, and sourdough toast! Hits the spot. I got the French Toast (orange mascarpone, berries, and walnut crunch) to go for my person, and he loved it even the next day!!! Everything felt fresh, cozy, and thoughtfully done. Such a cute spot for brunch, coffee, cocktails, and a little shopping after your meal.

The service staff is very kind and welcoming, with a limited menu of options so I suggest reviewing the menu prior to arrival. The space itself is gorgeous - however, the indoor space can be very loud... to the point that it is unbearable due to loud large groups of guests. On nice weather days with the patio doors open this doesn't seem to be an issue, but with the weather heating up and doors closed - sound bounces and carries within the main dining space.
My partner and I went here for brunch on a Saturday and immediately returned for happy hour that week because we were so impressed! Food: * SO good, and the presentation is on point. Definitely get the yeasted waffle. Coffee: * Okay. Our lattes tasted good but we couldn't really pick up on the almond croissant/banana bread flavors they were named after. Ambiance: * Beautiful. Very French-inspired California coastal patio vibes. Cocktails: * INCREDIBLE. I love how creative their mixologist got when building this menu! Prices: * Overall pretty reasonable. I adore their happy hour; it's one of the best I've seen in central Phoenix in a long time, especially for such a pretty restaurant. Very cute interior. We loved the Pineapple Upside Down Cake matcha latte, Birthday Cake Pancakes, and the Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders with fries, and had a side of County Potatoes and eggs. Everything was delicious. Service was lively and friendly.
Let me start off by saying that the food and drinks here were really good. The patio is so cute and I loved all the things in the market! Very cute set up. The reason I gave a 3 is based on our experience. I made a reservation for 8 people at 2:30pm on Sunday. I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance. We noticed a few days before our lunch that the closing time was listed as 3pm so we called to confirm that our brunch for 8 people was still fine for 2:30 since they take reservations till 2:45. We were reassured it was totally fine. We arrived for brunch and were sat at 2:38pm. Nearly the moment we sat down we were asked to place our food orders as the kitchen closed at 3. We asked if we can still order drinks after 3 and the bartender was kind enough to do so. We felt like we were being rushed out which was a disappointment since it was a birthday brunch and we didn't even get to do the birthday dessert. The business should stop taking reservations at 2pm.
What a cute restaurant! It is in an adorable courtyard with other stores there as well. They have such a beautiful outdoor patio and it's such a great space. Inside there's a little market selling cute items. I had the steak and eggs and it was delicious! I also had a sweet potato pancake à la cart. Also excellent my friend had a breakfast scramble and a couple of lattes and a pastry. Get there early as it fills up pretty quickly, especially on a Sunday. We got there right when they opened. I highly recommend this is an adorable brunch spot. Service was excellent.
Recent visit was a little hit and miss. Hot lattes and cappuccinos initially came out lukewarm, and had to be remade to be hot. Our waiter was sweet, but it seemed that he was the only one working the entire room, which may have led to some of the issues we encountered. (Another party's food was delivered to us accidentally before we corrected them). Sweet potato pancake was still delicious! Love that I can order my burger with lettuce wrap and the rosemary fries are just so yummy. Our party of 4 came for lunch on a Tuesday at 11:30am. The weather was beautiful and we sat by an open sliding glass door. Space is wonderful!
01/10/2026 My friend saw this place on Instagram and sent it to me. It looked really cute, but what really got me was the Sweet Potato Pancakes. So we made a reservation for Friday 9:00AM. It's located in a shopping plaza called The Frederick. It already looks so cute on the exterior with the green patio furniture and large wooden double doors. You enter through their market first which had cute merchandise, gifts, and kitchen things, as well as a coffee bar with pastries. There was a host stand right where the market meets the main dining area. FOOD I got the Sweet Potato Pancakes and Two Eggs to Order for some protein. My friend got the Yeast Raised Waffle and scrambled eggs as well. They had some seasonal coffee and matcha drinks, but we didn't try any, as we were planning to go somewhere else afterward for caffeine. The pancakes barely had a hint of sweetness, which surprised me since it didn't come with syrup or any sweetener. The whipped peach butter was pretty good, but I'm not a butter on pancakes kind of gal. My friend did not like the texture of her waffle. It was dry and not chewy - maybe that's just how yeast raised waffles are? She did say the waffle, lemon mascarpone, and fresh strawberry paired nicely together. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. Overall, I liked the market and aesthetic of the entire place, but the food was underwhelming. I would give it 3.5/5 stars. Also, there was plenty of parking in the back when we got there at 9AM, but it was full when we left around 10:30AM. We parked in the first row, and it was difficult getting out. My car is small, but I still feel like there wasn't enough room to back out.
After seeing Lydia's on TikTok, my fiancée and I decided to go check it out yesterday (Sunday) morning. Since it's the weekend, we tried to get there early, around 8:30am, to beat the crowds. Luckily, we did. When we arrived, there were plenty of tables open and we were quickly seated. First impressions: The vibes are really nice. The decor is very aesthetic and picturesque. The staff were really nice. Since it was our first time, they guided us through the menu and went over their seasonal items. I ordered a Classic Breakfast and a Banana Walnut Latte. My fiancée ordered the Lydia's Seasonal Scramble and a Vanilla Waffle Cone latte. We shared a stack of the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. We were very impressed with the taste of the food. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The pancakes were absolutely delicious! Probably some of the best we've had. The lattes were okay. Came in for their one year anniversary... and so glad we did!! They are not normally open for dinner but tonight they were and yay! Got the steak and eggs, mimosas, BLT and a spritzer, bill was $82 for 3 people. Not bad! Our server (Matt) was a sweetie - he helped us decide on what to order. The front area sells some cute things but not many things had prices on them. Too bad, we would have bought some stuff. And I don't love that some of the menus were dirty with food. Overall brunch here was amazing! It's super cute inside and it's a scratch kitchen. I'm normally not a sweets person for breakfast but the lemon ricotta pancakes were incredible. Super soft and bright. We also got the oeufs en cocette. It's super unique, and the only thing I wished was that it was larger. We were eating outside and there was a cockroach on the ground, which was also a negative. But overall the food was excellent! read more
Step into a little slice of France right here in town! This charming spot radiates French café vibes, with cozy seating, beautiful décor, and a delightful little market at the entrance perfect for browsing while you wait for your table. Parking is convenient in the back, though fair warning, it shares space with neighboring businesses, so weekends can get a bit busy (but the other shops are 100% worth a peek too! You can get cookies, or coffee, or browse through unique clothing stores before/after your meal.) Food was delicious. I'm a vegetarian, and they kindly swapped avocado in for meat, such a thoughtful touch. Paired my breakfast with a cup of ginger-mint tea that was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive, making the experience all the more enjoyable. My only quibble was that noise can pick up a bit, which I guess is the price you pay for the lively energy of a popular weekend spot. Prices are not cheap, but honestly, nothing outrageous for the quality and experience you're getting! read more
Came here after a Pilates class with a friend to catch up and so glad we chose this place! We made a reservation for noon which might not have been necessary on any other day, but with the rain and patio unable to be used, it definitely was helpful in getting us seated quickly. On a cool fall/winter day, the outside would definitely be the way to go! The service was great! The waiters were attentive and also gave us time to eat and talk. We never felt rushed or like we were forgotten. As for the food... please get the sweet potato pancakes while they are in season!!! It was so good! I was torn between getting something sweet or savory. Luckily for me, my friend is also a Yelper and was down to get one of each and share. The oeufs... delicious! If you're very hungry, not sure if the portion size would fill you. But to share, and with the pancakes being quite large, ordering these two to share was perfect! Will definitely be here again before those pancakes are gone! read more

Finally had a chance to come here and it did not disappoint!!! The ambiance of Lydia's is a DREAM!! Totally picturesque with the adorable aesthetics and marketplace! The bar top is stunning I adore the vibes in here! Service was great I believe our waitress name was Julianne she was kind and efficient! I loved my iced cardamom rose latte they have an awesome coffee selection! My chicken sandwhich was good BUT the breaded part fell off the chicken completely which was a bummer :/ otherwise the taste was good! Vibes - check. Aesthetics - check. Music - check. Service - check check. Food - check check check. This spot honestly has everything you'd want in a relaxed breakfast/brunch/lunch setting. Beautiful inside decor, ample outside and inside seating. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the food was delicious! Definitely lots of French inspired plates with plenty of butter, garlic, and herbs. They have a cute cafe and shop up front, and with it nestled in The Fred on Missouri, the mood can't be beat as you watch people come and go with their dogs in tow outside. read more
This is is upscale brunch spot was perfect for a recent girl's get-together. There was both inside and outside seating, they were easy to work with to set up a table for 10. The menu had the perfect amount of options and the ingredients were so fresh. Our waitress so so patient and timely, she went above and beyond for our party. The cocktails are amazing and so are their coffees. I opted for a strawberry Matcha this time and I did not disappoint. I highly recommend the BLT, the chipotle aioli sauce on it was to die for! read more
My book club and I came here for our monthly meet up and I loved it! Such a cute and dainty restaurant in a location that has a warm and welcoming vibe. We had a bit of a wait, so we were able to roam around the surrounding shops, which made the wait time fly by. The service was great despite it being busy (we went on a Sunday) and the smash burger was so good! I added an egg and it was the best kind of savory. The macchiato was also a traditional size macchiato and strong. My fav! I would absolutely come back here. read more
I've been waiting for Lydia's to open since they first announced it was being built!! I went with a few girlfriends for brunch and was blown away by how nicely designed it was! Lydia fit right in to the vibe of the Fred. We were told it was a 40 minute wait, but it turned out to be nearly 2 hours. Not too bad though, considering Berdena's Coffee was around the corner and some of our favorite shops. The storefront had an amazing curation of home goods, too! It was very much mine and my friends' style. Food was delish! We ordered two rosemary fries for the table. (It's a small portion for 1-2 people). I had the Oefs en cocotte. Stopped by for some breakfast with a friend. Ample parking, with lots of shops to look at as well. Enjoyed our matcha drinks with my oeufs en cocotte which tasted amazing, full of flavor. Sourdough toast tasted fresh. Our server(s) were very sweet and checked on us a few times. They opened the doors as well which allowed a nice breeze to come through, so it wasn't loud at all inside, with all the conversations. Will definitely come back! read more
Lydia's kitchen is the cutest, newest brunch spot in town! The Fred really does it right and Lydia's is the best, newest addition. Expect a wait, but the food was delicious and fresh. Was really excited for this place to open! It couldn't be any cuter, I love the concept of the little market/store at the front with a to go bakery. And an adorable restaurant in the back! Truly not a detail was missed when in come to the decor, light fixtures, fabrics, patterns. Whoever designed it did a phenomenal job! I am excited to see how the patio livens up the Fred once it isn't so hot out!! All that being said the service and the food didn't really blow me away. We had to ask for things like straws, silverware, an extra plate multiple times before receiving and it wasn't super busy only a few other tables on a Friday afternoon. And the food was okay, we split the chicken sandwich and it tasted really fresh! No weird chicken bites which I'm always thankful for. But everything was just a little off -- the fries had rosemary but almost too much. Anyways I know they're new and maybe just have a few links to work out! So I'll be excited to try again in a couple months! read more
I already can't wait to come back. One of my new fav brunch places. The wait time wasn't too bad and the area is so cute to walk around with nearby shops and businesses to keep you busy. The inside is cozy but feels so open with all the window light coming in. We loved our waiter I wish I got his name but he was awesome. We learned that they serve the same coffee as the shop next door Berdena's. My food was amazing too I got the salmon salad and loved every bite. Music was chill. Coffee was excellent too. read more

I was honestly super underwhelmed with this place. I got the seasonal scramble. It was a pretty basic omelette with veggies, nothing crazy and lacking a little salt. My friend got the classic breakfast, she got her eggs scrambled and forgot to ask them well done and ended up getting scrambled eggs that were still a little wet. The staff was super nice all together and there was no issues when we asked for her to get her eggs well done. They brought out the well done eggs super quick. I also got a banana bread latte and it really didn't taste like banana bread at all. The restaurant itself is very cute and staff is really nice, but food was lackluster. read more
