Went there on a Saturday morning. There was a little bit of a wait, but not too. Had a wonderful waiting area to sit with great vibes great music. Lively atmosphere. Being in Arcadia Neighbourhood, you see a mix of people. Everything from hipsters, to aunties and uncs, and people looking like they just left the set of Pop the Balloon or Find Love. As for the food, I had the catfish and grits. The catfish was cooked perfectly, well seasoned. Hot crispy fresh. The grits were a bit lacking as they were pretty runny but overall a good bite. Other people in my party got a short rib hash said it was delicious. The French toast and the pancakes are not anything different than what you get at any other high-end brunch spot. I recently celebrated my birthday at this establishment with my best friend. We put a reservation in online and our table was available upon coming. They do have valet parking at this establishment or you can park on the side street about two blocks away for free. We opted to just park two blocks away. On this occasion, our server was very sweet. She was also a cancer zodiac sign, so very nurturing and she insured that we had a great experience. For food I have no complaints. I really enjoyed the grits and catfish and also a birthday pancake that was given to me by the establishment. I thought that was a really nice gesture, and it was delicious. The vibe and the food for this establishment is five stars. What I take issue with is the lack of glassware. I think if you're gonna offer sparkling wine or mimosas or even champagne, you should have the proper stemware. I thought that the mimosa flights came off very low brow and there was no way I was drinking out of what looked like glass baby bottles. When asked for a wine stem glass, they didn't have any. And I actually believe the server which they need to do better IKEA is not that far you can get some wine glasses. This is essential. I did also see that they had some upgraded bottles for bubbles and I wish I would've saw that on a menu as I would've purchased an upgrade it Prosecco or champagne. However, I would've been livid if I purchased an upgraded bottle and had to drink out of thick cognac glasses. My wife and I came in on a Friday morning, waited for 10 minutes for two waters and were informed that our waiter would be right with us. We waited another 10 minutes with absolutely no service. The place wasn't very busy and all the staff were just hanging around behind the bar speaking with each other. We noticed that others were not seated until their entire party arrived. We were seated in the balcony area. It was spacious and comfortable. I visited Brunch and Sip for the first time and was immediately met with great customer service. From the valet driver to the hostess letting me know that she will work on getting my party's table ready as I wait for them to arrive. This visit to I came for a birthday brunch and mostly drinks and something light to eat. Once I entered it was a bright and clean indoor/outdoor space with greenery chic decor. Visited on a weekday during the morning. From the initial walk in, nice brunch restaurant. No one was there so we were able to sit at the bar. Tried the P&J whiskey drink and it was a no for me, way too sweet. Ordered catfish, eggs and grits, 3/10. Grits came out in a solid clump with a shredded cheese on top, catfish was edible, eggs were cool once I added salt and pepper. My friend had lamb chops, eggs, grits and salmon. Salmon had a bad/weird fishy taste, had to send it back immediately. Waitress told us about the wings being a $1 so we ordered some for the heck of it. Wings were decent. Waitress provided great service (she had a unique name that I can't remember). Couldn't believe my eyes... there is about 2 other ppl in the establishment (1 guy at the bar and a small party sitting at a table) The kitchen is VERY visible from the bar. The chef came out to the front of house to talk to the guy at the bar, all while lifting his hat up and scratching his head then placing his hands back in his apron. After that kee-kee moment he had, he mosey back to the kitchen area and pick up a piece of bacon with his bare hands to eat for himself!!!! We started our meal with the lobster macaroni and cheese, and WOW--what a way to begin! It came out piping hot, and even after letting it cool a bit, the cheese stayed perfectly saucy and rich. The smoky flavor (maybe smoked Gouda?) was phenomenal, and the cavatappi noodles were the perfect choice because the sauce gets into every curve. Absolutely amazing--10/10, highly recommend! I also ordered the crab cakes, which came with fried green tomatoes and a poached egg. Since I'm not a fan of poached eggs, I asked for my egg scrambled on the side with cheese. The first batch came out a little overdone, but the staff kindly remade them soft-scrambled, and they did not disappoint! The rosemary potatoes that come with the dish were also incredibly delicious. The crab cakes themselves were real crab, generously portioned, and paired perfectly with the hollandaise sauce. So good they didn't even make it to a photo--gone instantly! We also enjoyed a mocktail with muddled blueberries, which was refreshing and balanced out the entire meal beautifully. We were having a ladies brunch on this past Sunday right before 3 PM. We had reservations at 2:45 and our table was not ready so we had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes before our table was ready. Then a manager came over to us to let us know that the kitchen stops taking orders at 3:10 which we were a little thrown off guard because why have reservations still available at 2:45 and if the kitchen stops taking orders at a certain time that should be specified on their website so customers are aware so they do not feel like they're being rushed. The manager insured us that we just have to place our orders right away, but then after that, we could take our time and eat and have our drinks . A waitress was nice, but it also felt like she was rushing and away because she knew we had to take out orders right away prior to 3:10p so that part was a little thrown off with our experience on top of that not advising us ahead of time that orders have to be in by a certain time before the kitchen closes because on Sundays they close at four so they stopped taking orders at 3:10 PM. A lot of us view the menu online and we were surprised once we came to the new location because the menu that's available online is not the same menu that's available at the new location. Some of the items have changed and there is a lot of price differences as well by three dollars and more which was a shock. So the website definitely needs to reflect the new location, menu items and prices because customers who plan ahead and budget ahead plan to pay for a certain price ahead of time . So we were advised that we have to go by the new menu prices and they're not able to honor the old prices even though it's still listed on their website. Honestly, we like the old location better just due to the size and also ample amount enough for parking even though the parking lot was small. You still had enough parking for people and can utilize the parking lot across the street from the previous location. This location, a parking lot is very very small. They do have valet, which will take your car for you complementary which was a nice park because there was no where for us to park. A lot of people have ordered the black girl magic, the sunrise drinks, the Doucet strawberry flavor the pancakes with the three chicken wings, the honey, glazed wings, grits, French toast, and wings and catfish and grits. Some of our ladies orders, the chicken wings were overcooked and burnt, which we were not pleased and had to advise the manager of this during our visit, which he did take a small discount off of the orders that were affected, and we were also surprised to hear from the manager that other customers Have had the same experience, and the issue has still has not been addressed. When you're paying for food of $30 or more you expected for your food to taste good and for it to be presented accordingly without any issues. Also, I noticed it looks like the size of the pancakes were a lot smaller than what was served at the old location. I also requested for regular syrup and butter instead of the raspberry syrup, which was not given to me, unfortunately, and had to request for it after the fact. So overall, I have been to the old location a couple of times and our experience has always been amazing, but I was very disappointed with my experience at the new location . read more

It's not a full bar, but it'll get you where you're trying to be. From the bar, there is a view of the kitchen. There are two tvs in the bar area with additional tables along the side. My cousin ordered the catfish filets, eggs, and fried green tomatoes. We both tried the fried green tomatoes and agree that the sauce itself tasted good. The batter for the tomato itself was bland. There were also parts of the batter that wasn't all the way fried. The catfish was okay and could have had more flavor. It was also cooked a little longer. I had the Fried Chicken Biscuit. I liked the fact that the gravy was made with turkey sausage and the bacon used was turkey. Thanks for considering those who don't eat pork. The flavor was in the gravy in my opinion. The chicken could have used more flavor and been cooked a little less so that it wasn't as hard. Drinks ordered: Black Girl Magic and Blacker Da' Berry. I think the drinks were pretty good. The interior was bright and modern with contrasting black accents. There is a smallish patio that at the time didn't have any misters going so I don't know if there are any. I added Pecans. The whipped cream had to be homemade and was delicious. I didn't add any syrup because the toppings were sweet enough for me. My friend ordered chocolate pancakes with bananas and pecans. His one disappointment was the bottom pancake was plain unlike the other two which had bananas and chocolate mixed into the batter. As you can see the pancakes were fluffy and thick. So yummy. My drink I order the Queen Margarita - mint, strawberry, and guava with a tequila topper. It was sweet but not overly sweet and the mint gave it a nice fresh taste without overwhelming the fruit flavor. Service was great. Have not been at B & S in awhile. I always forget that they are closed on Tuesdays. I love to support small businesses and this is also a black owned business. I love the outside dining patio and that they are dog friendly. They have some of the most stylish heat lamps I've ever come across. Their menu has downsized since my visit. Once we sat down, I loved the decor and high ceilings. Our server Kiki was also fantastic. She made great recommendations and was very attentive and personable. I was also excited that the restaurant offered egg whites and gluten free options! It's been very tough to find black owned restaurants that offer egg whites and even tougher to find black owned restaurants that offer gluten free carbs, so I was over the moon!! I ordered lamb chops and egg whites plus a gluten free pancake and the food was fantastic. The pancake was large and fluffy. It tasted great! The lamb chops were cooked well and well seasoned. They were super busy and I don't know if they just wanted to get it over with since we came in at two, and I know they close at three, but there's no excuse for the burned catfish and fries, which is on the menu as fish and chips. The color was black - obviously over fried & the fish tasted like salt and had a bad odor to it. I took a bite and thought I was going to vomit. needless to say, I did not eat any of it.
