The fried green tomatoes were tasty with a nice little kick, and they've got all the classic brunch drinks you'd expect. There wasn't any reservations on Yelp but my friend found some on their Instagram and booked it for 4 at 10am outside. Do not ever get their outside seating when it's hot, they don't have working fans, misters or anything, just a hot room with peek outs to the outside air. I don't know where the DJ was but every other song it sounded like he kept increasing it even louder, I couldn't hear any of my friends and it was giving me a headache listening to extremely loud club music the whole time and we were seated right next to a speaker. I also didn't like what I ordered. The pancakes were hard on both sides and I kept chewing on pecan shells in the pecan mix. The whipped cream was delicious though and tasted like a home made vanilla bean whip. My friend ordered the hash brown bites and all American breakfast. The hashbrowns had a thin watered down cheese on it, not good. I tried her potatoes in her entree too and completely bland. She barely ate anything because she said the eggs tasted weird, she ended up getting sick a couple hours later. My other friends ordered French toast and loved it. And lastly, the complimentary valet was a mess. They only have about 20-25 parking spots, way less than what they can seat. It's not like I could've parked next door or anything because there's signs EVERYWHERE in the other plaza stating NO BRUNCH & SIP parking and I saw a tow truck patrolling the area so they mean business. This is a new location for them. It was once a bit further east down Indian School. It's a beautiful building, blending the older, mid century vibe of the office building that was once there with a modern, fresh take. Beautiful indoor/outdoor seating, and they take reservations which is a huge plus. We went for my friend's birthday for Saturday brunch. Our waitress was very friendly. Everyone seemed pleased with their meals from pancakes, to fried chicken, to French toast. I had the Hangover Fries. Plenty of food, fresh ingredients, and good flavor. I recommend adding their hot sauce. The one draw back is they can only provide valet parking. It makes sense for this spot and is the only option really given the limited space, but it takes time, and while it's complimentary, of course you want to and should tip. I went here with a party of 7 a couple weekends ago. It's a little tricky to find since there's no clear sign for the restaurant, though there is a small folding "valet parking" sign that indicates their lot. It's free but they working donations. The vibe of the restaurant was amazing... it's 2 story and very appealing to the eye, with even a sun room visible as you walk in. There was a DJ spinning all the jams, it was pretty busy, and the menu was looking very good. Staff was welcoming and helpful with my reservation. Once we were sat though, I saw that the tables were fixed for groups of 2. Because of this there were three reserved tables for my party, each with a space between, and they do not move tables. It was strange the tables they picked for us, since one of the three tables was around the corner a bit, as opposed to reserving the three tables next to each other. Anyway, one of the issues I had was that I felt the server was rushing us to order. She asked if we were ready to order when only 2/7 of us were present and when we told her we would wait, no joke, She came back within 1-2 minutes... when the rest of the party had still yet to arrive. As soon as another person would arrive, she would come within the next minute to ask if they were ready to order. Again, she was nice, but it just didn't seem that she was reading the room at all. Another issue came when our food came at very different times. And I don't just mean a couple minutes apart, I mean two people had already finished their meal before two more people's food would come out, despite the fact that we all ordered together. The server apologize for this, (stating she put our orders in as different tables so they would know where to bring each plate), but it still affected our experience, and I feel it made no sense for it to not have been prevented. My last gripe from this visit was with my order. I would very much so advise against ordering the hangover fries. I usually like messy fry entrees, but I felt like this one was really lacking. The meat was supposed to come from the gravy I guess, but the flavor just didn't seem to mesh well with everything in the bowl. Aside from that I ordered my eggs on the side. But since my order came so late, I chose to just let that go. The sauces that come with the order also don't seem to pair well with it. I've had some great messy fries, but this one to me was just a miss. There were other entrées around the table that looked and tasted really good like the shrimp and grits and the lobster and pancakes. Again, the restaurant seemed really cool and I did like the menu, but I don't feel it was the best experience for us as a group. I feel that it's a little bit overpriced, but that's OK because the food is good but when it came to a shot of tequila, no one made it aware that it was two shots and one and when it came to me, it was $55 a shot that is ridiculous and I think that People need to be aware of that before they even give them the shot. Luckily, the lady that was sitting next to me observed what was going on and she said that was totally wrong, but I'll pay for a shot and I told her never again. I will never pay $55 for a shot of alcohol that they don't even take back because I wasn't aware of how it works, but they pretty much lost me on that part of the business....... I went here yesterday with my daughter and Aunt. From the moment we met our server I knew it was not going to be a good time. She had resting B face and that's fine except she had the personality to match. As a server you must be personable and nice with the attitude to match. She was none of these. Long story short my daughter's drink was not good. She made no attempt to offer her another one just told her what it was made with. Then our food was wrong. She looked at us and asked well what do you want to do?! Absolutely NOT. Remove the food from the tab and we will pay for what we had and leave. I was in the city and found this place on Yelp! I instantly loved the vibe of this place. It has an outdoor bar and patio, and the music selection was great. All of the staff were smiley and welcoming. Based on how quickly the place packed up, you could tell that it's a popular spot. There were a few things I wanted to try from the menu, but I ultimately ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The portion was more than I bargained for, but I was okay with that. Despite its chaotic presentation, it was good. The refried beans were a bit over-powering though. They had a $1/wings special going on for any flavor so I tried these 3 flavors: Hot Honey, Maple Glaze, and 40s Special. The hot honey was underwhelming and not a hint of hot. The maple was probably my favorite; it was a flavor I've never tasted before. The reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because I unknowingly tipped on top of gratuity. Every time I go back to Phoenix I am surprised and a bit overwhelmed by the amount of growth, especially in the central Phoenix area. There is always a new spot that has popped up that does it for me and that today was Brunch & Sip. I recommend getting there before 11 or checking in on the wait list online as it can be a wait. It is a medium sized spot with a good number of tables, but they fill up quickly especially because of their amazing drinks and food. We were seated near the front door and the kitchen, so we had a great view of all the food coming out. Our waitress was nice, patient, and helpful as the margarita I first wanted they did not have an ingredient for, so I asked her to come back. She recommended the green goddess and after checking out the menu for a little while longer I went with it. The green goddess is a mix of cirqoc, melon liqueur, lime, kiwi puree, and topped with lemon berry soda. I liked that it was cool, refreshing, and had just a hint of sweetness. It creeps up on you though so sip it slow. To eat I went with the huevos rancheros as they sounded amazing! The food does take a little while to come out, but it was cool because we sipped, chatted, and listened to the amazing DJ that was spinning. All this helped the time fly by and before I knew it my dish was out and pipping hot. Omg, these were some of the best huevos rancheros I've ever had. Tons of seasonings with a nice hint of heat and each bite. Everything was fresh and just kept me coming back for abother bite after bite. My friends loved their food as well especially the sweet and savory peach cobbler French toast and pancakes. We were all ready for naps after this, but somehow we managed to power through! Everything was amazing! Only suggestion would be to add a couple of more bathrooms, if possible, as the lines are extremely long--like think way before you need to actually go and then get in line. My family and I came here after we landed and decided to give this place a try since my brother, who lives here has only gone to their old location, and we were all disappointed. The hostess was really nice and since we didn't have reservations, she was trying to figure out where to seat us especially since it was still early and who were the servers that were on shift. Once we got seated, it took awhile for our server to greet us and give us water. She made it seem like we were already annoying her when we haven't done anything. Our food was ok. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worse. The drinks were good though. Our biggest issue with our server came to payment of our bill. They use those portable card reader machines and she held it out to my mom to pay, which is normal nowadays, and she had automatically added gratuity to our tab, which was fine; however, the fact that she didn't mention it when my mom was paying and my mom adding more tip without knowing was our issue. No pleasantries after that or when we were leaving. The only plus about this place are the valet guys and the hostess - who were all super nice - and how cute the decor is, and the fact that there's a DJ during brunch. Have you ever been walking down the street, and you're hungry for breakfast, and you just want some bacon and eggs? And then you see a restaurant with "brunch" in the name, and you think, "why not?" We were on foot, at 8:30 am on a Sunday morning, so we didn't have a car to,park, but we should have run away when we saw they had valet-only parking; but we were hungry. As we walked into the (very nicely-decorated) restaurant, which was nearly empty, we were asked by the immaculately-dressed hostess if we had a reservation. That should have been another tip off that we were in too deep, but we were hungry. We were sat at an absolutely horrible table. It was horrible because, it was positioned directly in the glaring morning sun. None of the other tables in that section were similarly afflicted, nor was anyone sitting in any of them. We asked to be moved, and they graciously obliged us. (Side note: it must be policy or something, because the next 3 couples who came in, in succession, were seated at the same table, and all but the last couple asked to be moved.) The menu is... well, there's just no getting around the "P" word... this place is PRETENTIOUS (in all caps) and the menu reflects that, too. Luckily, I guess they were throwing a bone to simpler folk, because they did have a simple bacon and eggs entree. Both my wife and I had that, and it was... adequate. It's bacon and eggs, what can you do? We did watch other people get their foods, like, macaroni and cheese with a flippin' lobster tail plopped on top of it, and, while I can't rate the food, I can say that it was beautifully plated for that perfect Instagram photo. There were lots of people taking pictures of their food. I will add that I was tempted by the steak and eggs, but I was not $40 tempted.
