I've updated my 1-star review to a 2-star because the cashier was kind and the owner responded to my review. I still stand by my experience with the matcha latte. It was advertised as ceremonial grade, but the taste and color didn't reflect the quality that is typically associated with that. If you look up what ceremonial grade matcha means and looks like, what InFruition is selling doesn't even come close. I also think my original 1 star review was fair considering that's the whole point of yelp. Reviews are meant to reflect honest experiences. If I had seen someone else's honest review of the drink I likely would have ordered something else. As for returning it, no one wants to have to do that. It's awkward and an extra step after already being disappointed. I appreciate the offer for a refund but won't be needing it. read more

This was my first time here and service was amazing! The girl who helped me was really sweet. There were so many different options to choose from so I stuck to the basic açai bowl. I've only had one really good açai bowl in Arizona every other one I've tried hasn't been as good so I was kind of nervous. This one I was able to choose and customize the toppings so on my bowl, I got the açai base and on top. I had granola strawberry blueberry and pineapple. The girl at the front said everything was fresh, but being a chef, I kind of felt like the pineapple may have been from a can. Other than that, the rest of the fruit tasted good. I didn't eat the blueberries though. I was disappointed in the açai base taste. It tasted more of like a smoothie mix with a lot of bunch of different things versus just açai eat. I guess the base does have different fruits in it, so it's not your normal açai which threw me off. I probably won't come back here for an açai bowl, but I will come back here to try their other flavors, including some of their smoothies. I'm only reading this at three because the açai evil didn't taste like an açai evil and there wasn't even really any sweetness. I don't think they put Honey in it. Very disappointing. I tried their greens and protein smoothie and they used over ripen banana which made the smoothie so sweet that I could not even drink it. A smoothie place is supposed to be healthy and I don't know why they would go out of their way to overripe their bananas to make it crazy sweet. They're not catering to children, but adults. Ordered the PB&J Acai bowl- size small $12- I was discouragingly shocked when I received my bowl & discovered just how small their small was- frequenting similar "power bowl" style shops, a small is usually still a heart meal of protein & flavor, but their portions sizes were abysmal compared to others-and at the same price point! The fruit was fresh, but the size only offered very small portions, which were also only layered on top- compared to competitors who layer throughout for balance- The acai was an average satisfied flavor, but again I would have liked ingredients blended throughout in layers-felt more like a smoothie than packed bowl- Nothing overly impressive about the granola-very bland generic it didn't seem to be advertised they were featuring local granola, peanut butter, fruits etc either, so not sure the overall appeal- overall felt very ripped off- read more

I got the PB and chocolate protein smoothie which has 28 grams of protein, pretty good! The smoothie is thick and satiating, and I like the ingredients they use. I've been coming here for years now. Back when it was called "Foxy Fruit Bowls"... That said, what I initially loved about this business was the amount of love put into everything they made. The swirls in the smoothies were always generous, as were the fruit toppings. Sometimes the bowls would even been made with designs, we love an aesthetically pleasing meal that also tastes amazing! These days the drinks taste okay, and the chocolate swirls feel like they're done out of obligation. The fruit in the smoothie bowls is practically non existent and doesn't seem worth the price. I often find myself here out of habit/a need for something nostalgic, only to stare at the menu and wonder if I'm going to be as disappointed as I have been the last few times I've had it. If I'm being real... I'd honestly rate this spot a 3 but I'm keeping it at 4 solely because this used to be my favorite place. This place was too good! The vibes were simply immaculate. I got a large pb + j acai bowl with an added scoop of VEGAN protein powder and it was super tasty. It was expensive but with inflation, the fact that they're a small business, plus all the fresh, organic ingredients they use, the price point is justified. This was truly what an acai bowl was supposed to be - it wasn't just a single scoop of acai or some sad bananas on top of slush - it was really good. I tried the heartbeat açaí bowl which comes with beat powder, blueberries, dates and banana. The purée was thick and silky, like a custard that you could eat with a fork and was topped with bananas, blueberries, coconut garnish and gluten free crunchy granola. This was an excellent combination of flavor and texture, you can tell the organic ingredients are of the highest quality and the bowl was artfully presented. I ordered the smaller size and it filled me up. I do not understand the reviews that say the bowls are overpriced, you would pay as much in Scottsdale and it would not be organic or have the dense 100% fruit content in the purée. I love the fact that their menu is vegan, organic, and in sustainable packaging. Good for you and good for the planet, right on point for today's climate worries. read more

This smoothie & juice bar is inside The Churchill food collective. It's a very small shop with 2 service windows - one facing the street and the other inside the food court. I was a little confused because I wasn't sure where to order but both sides had a register, so either worked. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was a bit crowded. I ordered a 20oz PB&J Coco Smoothie and ended up spending almost $12 dollars on it. I thought the quality of the ingredients would justify the price but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The peanut butter and vanilla whey was too overpowering and I could barely taste the fruit. It also took a long time to get one smoothie. I waited about 20 minutes. Luckily I wasn't in any rush because it was a weekend but typically when I order smoothies, I'm on the go and I don't have time to wait that long. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be trying this place again. There are way better, more affordable spots. read more

Of all the concepts both permanent and temporary inside The Churchill, Cameo Wilson's might be the best (and the most promising). Acai bowls, smoothies, and juices are nothing new of course. But I can't recall any Acai spot that does it as artfully as Cameo's place. Foxy also has by far the most robust social media presence out of all the The Churchill's concepts (more on that later). In any event, on a Saturday around Noon I strolled to Foxy's small operation Downtown. Located inside the The Churchill complex (northeast corner of 1st Street & Garfield), look for Foxy on the west side of the complex next to Freak Brothers Pizza. As with all restaurants at the Churchill, you order at the register and grab a seat where ever you can find it inside the complex. I'd done a little research on the menu in advance, but I asked Cameo at the order window what some of the most popular food options were as well as her personal favorites. After being given a number of options to choose from, I went with two items for my first time here. First, a small order of their Mango Berry Pitaya bowl. There's two parts to this bowl. First the mango berry blend itself which includes pitaya (a fruit of the cactus), mango, strawberries, banana, Arizona grown dates, and coconut milk. Atop this berry smoothie concoction are slices of banana and strawberry as well as coconut flakes and house made gluten free granola. I also got a small order of their vegan vanilla banana ice cream topped with blueberries and dark chocolate sauce. They also honor the $1 off with Yelp Check In offer. Total cost for everything including tax after the discount came to $14. I got a number, grabbed a seat across the complex, and one of Foxy's staff members kindly delivered the bowls to my table a little over 5 minutes later. Back momentarily to their social media strategy. In addition to offering a Yelp discount Foxy makes a point to sell themselves as vegan, socially conscious, and of course tasty. But from frequent photos on Facebook to Instagram to the menus on UberEats, Postmates and Grubhub, Foxy relentlessly goes the extra mile to sell themselves as edible art. Judging by my dishes, its clear they take this part pretty seriously. Both of my dishes were gorgeous to look at (I won't say too pretty to eat, because c'mon nothing is). Truly A+ prep work on these bowls. Okay back to the important part. Is it good? You betcha. The mango berry bowl was delicious, cold, and tart but not too tart. I was a little worried it would be too sugary, but no sir. Perfect blend of fruits, a nice crunch from the granola with every bite, and the small was just the right size for me. How about the ice cream? Its unquestionably banana at its core, but really does exude the texture of a standard vanilla ice cream. The blueberries were ripe and juicy and that dark chocolate sauce was phenomenal (and I don't even like dark chocolate). A quality, healthy, eye catching meal for lunch. Truly an outstanding concept. Whether you're a vegan or a hardcore carnie, there's a bounty of dishes sold here that are as pleasing to eye as they are to the palette. At some point it might be time for Cameo to take her burgeoning restaurant to the next level. For now, the artfully crafted complex known as The Churchill might have its greatest work of art on display inside the bowls of a tiny restaurant space. Keep up the great work, Cameo! read more
