If you like it less sweet, you could always substitute out a flavor or have them skip the drizzles. They are a nice healthy quick choice when passing areas in Downtown. The ambiance is nice and very welcoming. This location has frequent giveaways which is also cool, lots of games for people to play, and a large tv menu. The service can be spotty depending on how busy it is, but that is because they only have one person at a time usually. Even when that is the case, they never take too long! When she handed it to me I was a little confused it did not have the tinge of mango color you expect, and there was also a chocolate syrup in the cup. I'm a big fan of acai bowls so I tried the Summit bowl which has an acai base. What I liked is that they let you choose unlimited toppings. The problem is I visited pretty early in the morning and when I started slowly listing off the toppings, the staff member there must have missed a few because my bowl didn't come with bananas or strawberries like I asked. In her defense she repeated the last three I said, but I figured she just didn't hear the last three and caught the first two. Might be better to have staff ask what toppings people want at the end when they're putting the bowl together so they don't have to memorize it. Anyway - minor mistake that I could've corrected but I felt it was too late to change once I got the bowl. As a result the bowl wasn't the best tasting and the base was pretty watery probably because they blend it with your choice of non-dairy milks. The flavor was overall ok. Good option on a college campus though! They have lots of indoor seating, games, and even some free things like phone charging cables and AirPods cases for folks which was a nice touch. Great healthy alternative to all the fast food on campus. Staff is always very friendly, they let you customize your bowls however you want. Cozy atmosphere, the lighting inside is very nice. They have seating inside mostly chairs around a counter but they have one big round table in the middle. I ordered the oasis bowl with pomegranate and strawberry. It was so good! First visited this place a year ago and it's changed a bit. The quality and taste are not the same. I ordered the PB&J and it didn't hit the mark. I felt the base was watery and flavorless. I also felt like the peanut butter had a weird flavor and texture. It smelled like it smoked a whole pack of Newports. The price was way too much for this product. I won't be back. The owner herself made my bowl and needless to say she is incredible at what she does. And frankly I found that the price of the bowls significantly measured up to the quality of the ingredients being provided here. Good bowls, but the last time we went the girl tried to charge us $7 extra for our bowls (cash only). When we asked about it she said she charged us for one topping each (one topping is supposed to be included), and then blamed the rest on "inflation." Went for the first time and loved it! Friendly and helpful staff (even though she was super busy). Ordered the Southern Lemon smoothie and really enjoyed it. Just the right amount of sweetness. The smoothies seem a bit pricey at first but at a huge 24 ounces the price is solid deal. It would be nice if they offered a smaller size though just for the times when that is a bit much. I was born half deaf and have struggled with tubes put in my ears, ear infections, etc all my life. My hearing is very very bad, but i've been to many restaurants where they call my name out for me to get my food. I've only a few times had a problem hearing people calling out for my order but they are always understanding and kind. Now this restaurant has very loud music playing so i'm assuming she called my name out maybe a few times but very softly. When i finally heard her she had a very rude tone and attitude. Instead of loudly saying it she just said it sternly so I was surprised i even heard it. I went up and asked if she called my name and she gave me some attitude. Mind you this was after paying 20% as her tip. No offense, but as someone who has worked in food service for years her job is quite easy. The store was very slow and all she has to do is assemble orders and she gets tips! Many stores do not do that for their employees. So basically I paid $15 for an average açaí bowl and to get attitude from some girl. I was so happy to put 20% because the girl who took my order was so sweet and energetic. But thinking about how the other girl is going to get half of that tip is v annoying. They don't even take m and g on an asu campus either smh. read more
