My absolute new favorite comfort food, gooey enough to stretch a forkful into midair. My lunch buddy ordered the vegan pesto sandwich which was super bland and wouldn't recommend personally. The vegan Caesar Salad I definitely would get bigger rather than share or as a side, as it was delicious. Came for lunch the other day and got the pesto sandwich and a banana milk matcha. The interior is really cute and the service was fast as well. The drink was great! The matcha and banana flavor was strong but well balanced, while also being super creamy despite being vegan, I was very satisfied. On the other hand, The sandwich was disappointing. The bread was very dry and crumbly and did not really hold up well to the filling. The taste of all the fillings were very mild except for the very strong red onions. I think if the bread was replaced and the wheat substitute for the chicken was subbed with something else like tofu or tempeh it would've been better. It all was just too bready. I had no idea everything was Vegan, to my happy surprise I got the most delicious chocolate croissant and coconut raspberry cake. Love this location and all it had to offer. There were plenty of places to sit, even had a little bar area you could choose to sit at and an outdoor area too. My friend and I were greeted by many sweet pastry options, unique lattes and savory sandwiches. Other options included acai bowls. Aside from the yummy banana crème latte and strawberry white chocolate chip cookie, I had the pesto chicken sandwich later that day for lunch. The cookie was delightful, unique and perfect paired with my flavorful latte. My friend got the iced strawberry matcha and chocolate chip cookie. We split our cookies in half and shared a piece each so we could try even more of what this location had to offer! One note, I'd love to see a breakfast sandwich (or burrito!) added to the menu in the future. Who doesn't love a good savory option in the morning after so much sweetness? This is one of my go to vegan spots in Phoenix!! My friends and I always come here to fulfill our cravings. They offer a variety of pastries, entrees, and drink options. I love how they're always offering something new to their menu. Some of my recent favorites have been the Dubai latte and the mango sticky rice matcha. They had lemon bars, pop tarts, brownies, lemon poppyseed muffins, lavender cookies & lots of other stuff. how did i not know about this place!!? goji berry is the cutest little cafe located right next to earth plant based! i had just finished lunch and ended up wandering over there.. but the menu was so interesting that we HAD to order matchas! especially because i haven't seen the banana cream matcha able to be veganized anywhere. unfortunately i was too full for pastries, but i tried the banana cream matcha and the strawberry matcha that my aunt ordered! both matchas were incredible! i could have used a slightly stronger matcha flavor, but the banana cream fit perfectly and the drink was so good i had to resist from chugging it right there. definitely recommend stopping by! if i lived in phoenix i'd be here all the time. read more

Found this gem while driving though Phoenix on my way back to LA! I wanted something healthy that I wasn't far from the 10 & Goji Berry popped up on my Google search. My husband and I shared the Malibu açaí bowl (add almond butter & cacao nibs) and the "turkey" club with a Caesar salad on our drive - all amazing! In addition to the wonderfully delicious food, the staff was just as delightful! When picking up my order, I brought my dog's water dish inside to ask for a bit of ice to cool my pup down. The woman working in the counter looked out the window and said "oh that's a big dog, let's get him a lot of ice water" and proceeded to fill the dish with a ton of ice and cold water. This place has been on my bookmark list forever. Decided to check this one off the list and drive from the east valley. Upon pulling in, it's in a plaza, and the shop isn't marked with great signage, but look for the patio seating outside. Also, with the long drive, the restrooms are locked, and you'll need to ask for the key. It's either side of the Mexican food restaurant or their bakery that will have the key. If not, the employee said you can wait outside for the key to come out from another person. Seems like they need to have a key for both sides and not share it between the two concepts. I ordered the dirty matcha and the strawberry lemonade. Both were pretty good and not too overpowered with sweetness. Pairing the drinks with desserts, the pop tart is more like a struddle with light layers of puff pasty. It's definitely worth getting this one again! The Concha was really good, too, and honestly, it was my first time trying one since I've had my dairy allergy 20+ years ago. Very light and bread-like with not too sweet icing. The chocolate sea salt cookie was okay, not my favorite. Thicker and denser but had a good hit of salt with each bite. It's worth a shot. Give them a try! read more

We ordered: Caesar salad (Organic romaine hearts, toasted garbanzo beans, house made dressing, nutritional yeast, red onion, & house made croutons.) I chose the option to add baked organic tofu for extra protein. This salad was fresh and flavorful. I appreciated that it's organic. The house made croutons were crunchy and delicious. I usually leave behind like half of the croutons on a typical salad, but I ate every bite of these croutons because they were extra tasty! Almond Butter Bowl (Organic fair trade acai topped with banana, blue berries, alomond butter, cacao nibs, granola, & agave). Yummy and crunchy, and it came in a coconut bowl. I appreciate that they use organic fair trade açaí. Strawberry smoothie (Bananas, strawberries, & coconut milk). Fresh Chick sandwich (House made hummus, avocado, cucumbers, onions, romaine lettuce, & tomato on locally made bread. With a side of home made potato chips or salad.) NOTE: This sandwich doesn't come with tofu or vegan chick'n on it. My husband asked to add baked organic tofu to it for this reason. You may want to as well! Pink heart strawberry shortcake vegan cookie from the pastry case. We shared it and both had 2 bites. And now I'm wishing I picked up more for home and/or tried some of their other baked goods . This review is long overdue. I've been coming to Goji Berry and their neighbor Earth for the last several years. I believe they are both my favorite, vegan establishments in Phoenix. Goji berry continuously updates and improves the menus, which I absolutely love. They keep it fresh and fun all the time! The first time there, they had a small small little display case with a few pastries and a few select ice creams. Now they offer mini cakes, empanadas, donuts and pop tarts among their originals, like brownies, cookies, and loaves. They also have fun drinks and waffle cones for their rotating exotic ice cream flavors, all vegan. Notable shoutouts go to: the non-gluten free donuts & empanadas, yummmmmmm! Came by with my boyfriend and heading back home from Arizona to California. The google pictures online of the mango smoothie look TOTALLY DIFFERENT than what my boyfriend ordered. He got (in the photo) and I got a banana matcha that wasn't all that great either. I asked if I could get a refund for the mango smoothie. The woman that made it said she can remake it even though that's not what I asked. She said we can get a POSSIBLE refund because it was not guaranteed, she would have to ask her manager... the line was literally like SO LONG. We were just passing through and weren't willing to wait another 30 minutes for a quick refund. The lack of genuine care for customers and mediocre food and drinks are why we will not be returning and just wanted a refund on that one drink they probably won't give us and make us wait in a huge line for. I rather let you guys know our personal experience stopping by. We only support vegan businesses and I personally work at one of them in California and handle customer service MUCH better than what they think they're doing here. My boyfriend wanted that one smoothie. Not another drink. They have only two smoothie options. What a waste of time stopping by. They have some awesome looking pastries, though only rice crispy bars were left for the gluten free option so I couldn't partake of any sweets. My friend and I came here for lunch one Saturday afternoon. Located in a cute plaza with lots of parking and decorated with papel picados. It shares the same space as Earth and you can access both spots since the middle is open. We decided to get panini sandwiches from Goji; I chose the Cubano ham and my friend ordered the pesto chicken. Their drinks looked great after a workout and I got their lavender limeade. It was refreshing and delicious; it tasted like how my lavender roll on smells, but in a good way. It was pretty too. The paninis were plentiful and came with a side salad or chips (we both got salads). The Cubano had a tangy taste to it, while the pesto was classically done. I'm glad I tried both and my preference went to the Cubano that day. My friend got the last pistachio loaf and I tried some of it. I'm not a fan of pistachio and almond desserts, they share a similar flavor profile that I do not enjoy. But my friend liked it. I loved this spot! We caught the tail end of lunch so it was fairly busy for a while but it was such a cute place and the staff were so friendly and had good energy. I'd love to come back. read more

The best way to describe this place is hit or miss. The food and drinks here are definitely hit or miss, it depends on your palate--but their matcha does not taste good. Their coffee and chai also tastes a bit strange, and I threw out the Dubai chocolate drink because it tasted so artificial. Some of their pastries are very good, especially their mini cakes and some of the cookies. The donuts are off, they're tough to eat and a bit too chewy for what you'd expect a donut to taste like. The açaí bowls are great, but don't modify it. The service is also hit or miss. It's expensive and they charge you a to-go fee. What?! Such a wonderful establishment within the Grand Ave. community. Goji Berry is such a vibey, refreshing, and fresh addition to the Phoenix vegan scene. The space itself is very airy, decorated with plants and boho lighting that creates an inviting atmosphere for community gathering and connection. We ordered the Malibu Bowl and the pesto sandwich. The Malibu bowl came in a cute coconut bowl, beautifully created with flower to top it. It was enjoyable, but truthfully, I would have prefeerred that all of the fruit would be fresh cut vs frozen. The pesto sandwich was delicious, the bread was fresh and fluffy, and while filling, not heavy. Didn't get to try the pastries this time, but did get a iced latte, which hit the spot. I was slightly deceived by the parking, so i ended up on the free street parking, but they have an ample parking lot that is accessible from both Roosevelt and Grand! In addition, to all the adorable businesses in the area, Goji berry is no exception! The sister concept to Earth and right next door, it has an airy, boho vibe that I absolutely love! The moment I walked it, I was greeted by the lovely barista! It was her first day at Goji Berry, as she usually works at Earth, but she was so patient and helped with all my questions! The menu boasts coffee beverages, smoothies, acai bowls, breakfast and lunch menu items, mocktails as well as pastries, really something for everybody and any time of the day! I had already had breakfast, so opted for a quick caffeine pick me up this fine morning. This was my first visit and it was hard to decide from all the options! I opted for an iced lavender latte - they make their syrup in house, which I love! The beverage came out garnished with a beautiful edible flower, very photographic! It was creamy and delicious and I would definitely get it again. As I was contemplating all my decisions and was thinking a smoothie originally, the lovely barista gave me a small sample from a leftover smoothie for another guest. When a friend suggested here for dinner I jumped at the chance because there is gluten free/vegan Mac and cheese. It satisfied the craving, but was a little on the dry and bland tasting side. It definitely did not reheat well the next day, which can be tricky when using rice pasta so not entirely the restaurants fault. The menu is limited so if you are gluten free there are maybe 2-3 options for you. There is a lovely bakery case full of plant based items, however I was disappointed to find out that only one option was gluten free. Usually other vegan restaurants I've visited also have tons of gluten free options. Definitely something they can improve on here. We saw this place in a video on IG and were excited to go here, but there are too many problems to overlook. The food options are extremely lackluster and the tomato soup had zero flavor along with the grilled cheese "sandwich." The coffee was also not good. They also wouldn't heat the pastries up....what in the world? The Wi-Fi does not work properly at all. They have three network names and all of them didn't work when I typed in the password that I was given on a laminated card where it was halfway erased because the employees don't know it. This is 2023, you have to have working Wi-Fi in a coffee shop. Finally, the employees put music on a very loud speaker sitting on the ground right next to the table we were sitting...why would you not understand that is way too loud? There is only one wall with outlets, so if someone is sitting there already, you're out of luck. I would not recommend wasting your money here, the only reason this place got 2 stars instead of one is because the employees were friendly, but with the poor quality of food and drink offerings, lack of outlets and working Wi-Fi, and the loud music, it was a complete disappointment. read more
