Both fun grocery picks, gift ideas, and children's toys to peruse. Their food is pretty good for a quick lunch on the go! I came here with friends just for a casual pickup and catchup. I ordered the seasonal Berry Cheesecake Latte. Instant hit!! I was a bit shocked by opting for oat milk was $1.50...but disregarding that bit, the latte was a cozy summer drink. Every time I come here there is an issue. Last time I got the wrong item. This time they called a tow truck on my because I parked in their "curbside" pickup spot when there were no other spots open. I asked the manager if this was the policy and he told me, "I haven't talked to the security guard, maybe you should just move your car instead of making it a big deal." Yeah I think your security guard either lying about a tow truck or actually calling one is actually a big deal. Holy crap. Way too over priced to deal with this hassle. They also have no idea what a nicoise salad is. And the manager was gossiping with an employee about me which made it so obvious because she was staring me down from over the counter. I'm literally just trying to grab a meal to go. Absolutely insane. Burger was okay. Truly not worth the experience. read more

She said ahhh ok. Wow. Prices gone up here--must be the tariffs. I see why there are more open tables inside and outside. Food quality is still good. Except for the "Old Timer" dessert aka Hostess Cupcake. The plastic forks and knives could not even break into it. Need a hatchet. Pass on that one. I don't know if this makes any sense, but La Grande Orange was probably one of the most comfortable sandwich experiences I've ever had. Is it a grocery store? Is it a deli? Is it a wifi working spot? Oh heck, it's all the things! Maybe it was because everyone seemed so helpful and friendly the minute I walked in, that my cynical Boston disposition just wasn't used to it. But I liked it! I wish I'd been more hungry, for no other reason other than to hang out longer that I needed to. The stacked turkey came highly recommended by several staff members, and while I'm actually kind of sick of turkey, decided to try it anyway. Glad I did. Clearly, I've been doing something wrong at home, because whatever they served here, maybe it was the mustard with havarti, it was delish. Nestled in such a cute neighborhood, LGO is the perfect place for a casual dinner or lunch followed by a sweet scoop of gelato for dessert! It's a decent happy hour but I was mainly surprised that we got to step away from the table after dinner to taste the gelato before making a decision, what a wonderful thing for an indecisive person like me. Our waitress did an excellent job at checking in on us and giving us recommendations. The artichoke was so delicious, and we must have made it look good because the table next to us decided to order it as well! Only down side was parking was a bit sparse as they share the lot w postinos, but after a couple circles around the lot, we were able to find a spot. We will be back soon! read more

Had seen this place all over social media and decided to check it out. Parking lot is very small, I came around 10am on a Wednesday and I was able to snag a parking spot but when I left a little bit later, it was hectic as people kept driving in but there were no open spots. Once inside, it was all decorated festive for the holiday season. They have so SO much to look at from souvenirs, gifts, candles, slippers, ready to grab food, wine, etc. It is extremely small and tight inside the store though. Very hard to walk around and look around, as people are also waiting in lines to order food/pastries from one side, and then coffee from the other side. The people this place attracts, are also quite rude and have no manners which wasn't the best. All of the employees I interacted with were very nice and helpful. The checkout for the souvenirs is in the wine section, which was nice but still cramped. Felt very overstimulated the entire time. Bought a bunch of items for Christmas gifts though. Decided to try a coffee before I left and the barista was pleasant. They were out of their 'sugar cookie' latte so I ordered the 'peppermint bark' latte with oat milk and unfortunately for me, it tasted horrible. Not sure if it was how it's made, the syrup, or the in house made nut milk. It didn't have much flavor and tasted very bitter and unpleasant. Overall, cute idea but definitely needs to be moved into a bigger store/spot. Also, needs better coffee. Would only come back maybe once a year. read more

Such a cute little store, it is a little pricey BUT all the ingredients are fresh. I also love how they always have the cutest souvenirs & trinkets. Whenever I'm here I always pick up something small. I haven't had a chance to try their pizza but I will be back! I appreciate how everyone is so friendly, i will say though if you enjoy pretty strong coffee, or possibly just consume too much caffeine (like me) I wouldn't recommend getting a coffee here. Um... I recently visited my old favorite pizza place- La Grande orange. It's changed a lot. The music was loud and terrible, the service was younger and needed improvement. The veggie gluten free pizza was hard as a rock, and had no sauce? I was a little disappointed. The gelato was superb but it took 5 minutes to track down napkins and spoons. The bathrooms are clean and cool. The staff is so attentive and nice The stuff they offer to eat, drink, and buy is out of control! I went here for a lunch meeting with my partner and our vendor and the place is just so cool. This place has it all. Literally! If you are looking for a cafe style place that has a lot of variation in food options, baked goods, and drinks. That also has a great selection of wines and picnic basket staples. That also has some rather cute shopping options of gifts for others (or yourself). This is the place!!! There is a refrigerator section that allows you to grab food to go. The same food you can order at the counter to have made fresh and eat there. I had the tuna sandwich for lunch then grabbed the Thai chicken salad to have for dinner later. The portions are large. Their fun creations of what sounds like typical you can make at home food make this place extra special. Ambience is really lively and fun, plus there is a big restaurant seating space behind the little shop. However the music is *loud*- we're talking out to the club loud, so if you're bringing sleepy kiddos keep that in mind! I got the Thai chicken salad- I'd give it a 5/10. All of their salads are prepackaged. The salad was fine, nothing special. I particularly did not enjoy the dressing :/ it was pretty much just peanut oil with some spices. All in all an oily and slightly flavorless salad. Maybe 5/10 is generous haha My husband got the Gladiator pizza and that was very good! I had a bite of the crust and it was great really crispy and fresh. The wait for the pizza was a little longer than we expected though so be prepared! I stopped in to grab a smoothie for my son and the girl who made the smoothie was coughing and wiping her nose on the back of her hand the whole time. I asked if she was sick and she said "no, just some mucus thing"..... Why aren't you requiring gloves when handling food items? I can't believe I haven't written a review for La Grande Orange! I've visited a handful of times over the past two years and my experiences have been "good" (4/5 stars). I love the concept. La Grande Orange grocery is a curated general store, wine shop, pizzeria, and breakfast community spot all in one. It is great for grab-and-go breakfast, coffee, lunch, and/or dinner. I enjoy perusing their retail store offerings. Most items are fun and funny. Most of my visits have been for breakfast, but I have stopped by for after dinner treats. For breakfast, I really enjoy their "I love you Brooklyn" sandwich. It comes with ACME smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, tomato, red onion, and mayo on their LGO English muffin. It's absolutely delicious! I can't ever eat it without making a mess. I usually pair it with an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon, which is not the best, but not bad either. As for the pastries, I've tried their macarons, cookies, and mini cakes. Though they were all tasty, I found the cookie and mini cakes to be a bit dry. Maybe it was the time of day. Perhaps they weren't fresh at the end of the day/at night anymore when I purchased them. The ambiance is super casual. Service is always friendly. read more

My friend and I shared a veggie pizza and a caesar salad. After our meal we went over to their shop next door and got a slice of key lime pie, which was so fresh and delicious. LGO isn't perfect, but it's still great. The main issue I think you'll have if you don't go often is parking and navigating the lines and the system. Because it's really like three places in one building. Other thing that might get you in the prices, although in Arcadia it's fairly typical. Ok, on to the food and experience... The food is consistently excellent. Fresh and good quality. I usually get the egg breakfast and it's fantastic. Hack: order a half-side of bacon and usually get a huge pile of it. It always comes with in season fruit. Which is the sort of touch that makes lgo better than a cheap diner. I also get the chicken and turkey sandwiches often and they are both amazing. Stuffed with meat and very filling. Delicious cheese (havarti?) on the turkey sandwich. The chicken is my favorite probably; I get it ok a wheat wrap. It comes with slaw and barbecue sauce with pickles on the side. I usually eat half for lunch. It comes with the same little seasonal fruit cup many of their dishes come with. Their tea is always fresh. I used to always get the back tea but lately been getting the passion. Both great. Coffee is usually good although I usually have a lot of grounds in my cup. The tap water water station is awful and so I never drink water there. That's my only real complaint. The pizza is delicious and typical fire oven pizza that is popular these days. Fallen angel is my goto. The place is almost always packed and the staff does a great job of staying friendly and keeping things clean and moving along. They also have a market with gifts and trinkets that's are mostly overpriced. They still get five stars because what they have is a neighborhood staple that is consistent, reliable, and alive. That's not super common in Phoenix residential neighborhoods. It's unique and has character and is worth at least one visit. read more

First time here. I don't typically like to give less than favorable reviews. For me, I won't return as it's style of food and coffee is not for me. It you like strong curated coffee and unique Gelato this place is for you. When you walk in for the first time, you find that it's a store with a bakery, cafe, and gelato bar tucked away in the back. Love this place!! I've been a customer since the beginning. Yesterday, I purchased a slice of their olive oil loaf. I asked for a slice from the middle. The person gave me the end slice with the very end cut off and she called it the middle. This morning I am having it with my coffee and the slice is very dry....so, I am slightly annoyed. The pizza and salad we ordered were out of this world! They make their own gluten free crust and they even have dairy free pizza. I did a grab and go salad and it was so so good, I was beyond impressed! I wanted to buy 4 more to take home for lunches for the week. It is attached to an adorable boutique and a insanely talented bakery. They have everything from custom cakes to grab and go desserts and everything in between. One star off for spacing in the store it's a bit crowded, and one star off for having plastic utensils...for the cost we should have actual utensils. I was sitting there trying to cut and it was frustrating because I couldn't just cut and enjoy my meal I was trying not to break my fork. I know La Grande Orange quite well, I love it, I've left multiple positive reviews here. But this is a whole other positive level. Today I ordered the Parisian eggs, read the description, it's scrambled eggs, has cheese included and I ordered extra cheese. Then I added mushrooms. This might have been THE BEST BREAKFAST MEAL I'VE EVER ORDERED. Seriously. If you study my photos note the mushrooms are double. The whole dish was so rich, creamy, so fresh. Damn! I cannot recommend this dish more highly. So great!! Staff is always great. Very few mistakes as I see it. read more
