This place is a cute hole in the wall coffee shop in the Arcadia area. They have good specialty drinks and are fair with their prices.

Met with my friend here for a quick sip. Already had 2 cups of coffee at home so i got a tea here. Thankfully they had heavy cream so that was nice! The tea was seriously muted by the cream though and i couldnt taste the flavor so the girl brewed me a second cup! Great service. Tasty tea. Will be back if i need a cupa! read more

Black Cat has turned into one of my most frequent go-tos because they are reasonably priced and super consistent. My usual order is a shaken espresso and it's delicious every time. I have also tried their London fog and it was perfect on a cloudy winter morning. The service is also consistently great and often the barista already knows what I'm going to order lol. Super cool place. It's located in a strip mall setup in the same plaza as Safeway. Great coffee and tea options with lots of different flavors and syrups, many available as sugar free. The staff are very friendly. It's cozy inside, with local art featured on the walls for sale too. Would definitely recommend and hope to try a pastry next time. read more

I have sad news to share. My once favorite coffee spot in Phoenix is no longer anymore. I was visiting Phoenix and wondered if Black Cat was still around so I went to Yelp and I really should've listened to the last reviews, but I really wanted to just remember the good ol' days. My hubby picked up my regular Almond Milk Chai iced tea latte and he got his iced vanilla latte and at first sip, I was so disappointed. It was not good. I tried to salvage it by adding more ice because it seemed to have too much chai, but that didn't really work. I'm so bummed. Black cat coffee house is my all time favorite local coffee shop. I've been going for years and Tanya (the owner) and her team do an amazing job at creating a good environment to study/hang out at. They have a wide assortment of coffees, a huge assortment of teas and other drinks, and numerous other pastries and food bites. I was in town early for a business meeting and searched for a place with WiFi, food and drink to work from for a couple of hours. Black Cat Coffee for the win! I ordered a breakfast sandwich and iced apricot tea. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were other patrons reading the paper or books or on laptops also enjoying their time. The temperature was nice and cool. This was a Thursday morning and they were not that busy. Definitely recommend and I will be back the next time I have a meeting in town and arrive early! read more

Great spot for coffee in Arcadia! Tucked away in a strip mall but don't let it deter you. TONS is sugar free flavor, good espresso, and a nice spot to get some work done. Well..the staff was nice, but on this day the coffee for the hot mocha tasted burnt and continued to taste burnt before I tossed it half-way through. They also had no choice of milk and she forgot my muffin until I reminded her. The blueberry muffin was below par, lacking blueberries in most of the muffin. BC is in the nice, upscale Arcadia neighborhood in a small, nondescript mall. There's some comfy seats but it is a very small, cramped coffee shop. The counter person was not friendly, did not smile or greet me in a courteous manner. I also declined paying over $3 for a small cup of drip coffee. I've been to the best coffeehouses in Europe, Australia, Canada and major US cities; so when the highest prices are charged I expect top service and atmosphere. BC does not measure up. I actually stumbled across this place by complete accident and am so glad I did. I was trying to go to Lola down the road, but they were closed. I just picked the next closest cafe which happened to be Black Cat. The coffee was dark and has exactly the roast profile I was looking for. My americano was delicious, roasty, and quite good. The inside of the cafe was great too. It's dark and cozy and has a charm about it that is quite nice. I sat with a few friends for a few hours and enjoyed chatting, catching up, and sipping my coffee. Cheers! read more

Really cute place and I liked the artwork! I've been to a ton of coffee shops in the valley and have at least heard of the majority of them but had never heard of this place until recently. I went with my mom, she got a tea and I got a lavender honey latte which is typically one of my favorite types of lattes. Our drinks were both scalding hot like an hour later we were still waiting for them to cool down haha. My major complaint about this place was that my latte tasted burnt. Like I still have the aftertaste of it in my mouth and it's been like 6 hours since I got the drink. Just wasn't that enjoyable. Couldn't taste the lavender either. And the internet wasn't the fastest, but I can't complain because it was good enough to get my work done. Nitro Cold Brew is watered down beyond belief. I normally get 4 pumps of sweetener in a large, but the cashier said that would be "a lot" so I went with her recommended amount and when I finally got a taste, it seems like there's nothing but water and caramel in my cup. Cashiers were having conversations between themselves while making our drinks and seemed uninterested in any interaction.
