Affogato was perfect on a hot a day. Great little spot to rest up and recharge. The lady working the counter was professional and friendly. will make this a spot to visit everytime we are in town.
Small coffee shop in the heart of old town. Coffee is good, basic flavors without any fun creative coffee options. Service was very nice and fast. They were out of chicken salad which limited their food options quite a bit. They have pastries (muffins, bagel), but not much else. Overall it was good, but not anything I would seek out again since options were so limited all the way around.
I had a chance to stop by the old town in Scottsdale and I decided to walk around and I found this unique coffee shop. I order Chai Latte and it was absolutely amazing and perfectly well balanced. The shop has offered both indoor and outdoor with limited sitting areas, however, I would not mind to get my coffee from this place and walk around town which it has so many things to see in the community. Their service is super friendly and warm welcome. I will definitely stopping by again whenever I come to old town Scottsdale. Come and try it yourself!!
This place is such a hidden gem! I had some time to kill before an appointment and noticed the sign outside with Fall Martinis listed!! Yellow Spruce does coffee, gelato, wine and cocktails! The inside is small but they have a bar area for seating and a few tables and chairs. I think there are two parts to this shop and I only went to the side with the bar area which was super cute with really beautiful wood and coffee beans inside. Skyler was very helpful and made me my Sweater Weather martini. It was delicious and strong. Just what I needed. I can't wait to come back to try the coffee and/or gelato. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.
This review is for the Yellow Spruce cafe located inside of the Scottsdale Public Library. It's not the same physical location as the one in old town, however it's the same coffee, tea, and matcha they serve. It's great to be able to grab an iced coffee and then go sit in a nice chair in front of a large window looking at the park. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk and one pump of caramel + vanilla syrup. A simple coffee order that tastes great. My partner got the iced matcha. He wasn't expecting it to be sweetened but we didn't ask, I tasted it and I like it a bit sweet. Straight up matcha can be a bit too bitter for me. All in all, great cafe inside the library.

Delicious! I came in for the first time. Place is small with a bit of a patio. I ordered the cold brew with pumpkin cold foam. I'm normally not a pumpkin person, but this lady totally convinced me.

I don't really know about coffee but I could taste the difference compared to coffee from big franchise, it was nutty, flavorful, strong, and creamy! This place is going to be my go-to coffee spot in this area!
Such a cute spot in Old Town! The inside gave small town coffee shop vibes for me. Coffee was smooth and the milk was not overly steamed. They have some pastries available as well as a limited breakfast menu. I appreciated that they also served gelato and had a wine bar next door.

Found this gem hidden in Old Town Scottsdale to meet a friend for coffee and it did not disappoint. Staff were so friendly, my latte was delicious, and I walked away with a bag of coffee beans! T, their coffee roaster, is so kind and was who made my latte and helped me select which coffee beans to take home. They also have a wine bar attached that opens at noon and hope to try out soon! read more

Date of visit: June 6, 2026 This was a stop on our local food tour, and we enjoyed the coffee that we got so much that we came back later that day for a bag of coffee to bring home for a friend that enjoys trying java from different regions and roasters. The space is very small, so don't plan on coming here to crank out some work for a few hours, this is very much a stop for a minute, not stop for a while kind of place. While on the food tour we got a little bit of background on the founders of the establishment and their local success along with a wonderful Brown Sugar Cold Brew. I am a bit of a weakling when it comes to coffee so I needed an extra splash of cream but then I was good to go! Staff on both visits were very friendly and welcoming, too. Would definitely recommend popping into Yellow Spruce if you're in the area. read more

I discovered Yellow Spruce Roasters one day as I was walking around Old Town Scottsdale on my lunch hour. There are so many hidden gems in this area and Yellow Spruce is one of them! I have since gone in at least 3 more times and each visit has been pleasant. They offer some breakfast items as well as a variety of coffees, lattes and the like. I especially enJOYed their Chicken Salad Sandwich, as they stuff that thing until the filling oozes out! Oh yeahhh!! They also have some really good gelato!! The space inside is pretty small, but they do have some counter seating. There's limited seating outside as well. I was on a tour of Scottsdale and one of our stops was Yellow Spruce Roasters. I either had the choice of a free small coffee or a free small gelato. I chose the free gelato and they had this delicious salted caramel flavor. It was really sweet, and salty, and had gooey chunks of caramel inside. I don't know how they could have the caramel inside the gelato without it being too hard but they found a way to make the texture and flavor of the caramel work. I also got a chance to talk to the manager of the cafe who was nice. I could tell that they put a lot of time, effort, and passion into the development and success of their cafe. I would definitely come here again and I would also go on that tour again because it was really fun. read more

On the hunt for some cold refreshments for two adults and two kids, I popped into Yellow Spruce Roasters on a recent weekday afternoon... It was understandably pretty quiet inside as it was a hot summer afternoon in Scottsdale. The barista was not the friendliest, but took my order for two iced green teas. Unfortunately, she confirmed that they don't currently have lemonade, so I had to go elsewhere to find something for the kids. I would have preferred an Arnold Palmer or a splash of lemonade in the iced tea, but that wasn't an option. My suggestion in this scenario is either to carry lemonade or perhaps offer to add a bit of sorbet to the iced tea?! Or perhaps a syrup of some sort to flavor it? (Trying to be creative here) ;). I know some coffee shops carry a frozen lemonade, which I have a feeling would be a popular item in our crazy hot weather lately! The two iced teas + tip cost me approximately $13, which I found pricey, but I am always happy to support a local business. read more

My partner and I were visiting Old Town Scottsdale. During our adventure, we stumbled upon Yellow Spruce Roasters. We ended up getting some gelato! The team at Yellow Spruce Roasters are amazing! All of the team members were super helpful! We ended up getting a scoop of gelato - caramel and the banana dulce de leche. The flavors were so good! The caramel gelato had chocolate caramel chunks that were super scrumptious! My partner enjoyed the banana dulce de leche. The banana flavor wasn't too overpowering. We also picked up a Belgian waffle for breakfast the next morning. The prices weren't too expensive, approximately $17.00 for the scoops of gelato and the Belgian waffle. There are table seating inside and outside the Yellow Spruce Roasters. If you're looking for a drink, such as a latte, or a cool treat during the warm summer, you should stop by Yellow Spruce Roasters! read more

Really good, creamy, smooth coffee! My favorite is an americano with cream. Their gelato is good, I tried the banana dulce de leche and it was sweet and refreshing. If you come on a Saturday morning it will be packed due to being right next to the old town farmers market. read more

Found this adorable place today! We were looking for coffee and ended up ordering expresso martinis! The barista/bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the Classic Expresso Martini which was not very sweet, which my friend enjoyed. The Amore Latte could be a dessert drink! I ordered the Dirty Chai-Tini. I was nervous about this one as I do not enjoy a "strong spice" chai. The server explained that he did not think it had a strong Chai flavor and I agree! I enjoyed it! This cute shop is conveniently located near all the fun shops. Popped in for a nice lavender chai / coffee latte with oat milk. It was good, staff was friendly and they keep their small shop tidy. I like the vibe, and it's clear this is a popular destination, as the line was out the door when we first arrived. Yellow Spruce was one of my first coffee stops while in Scottsdale this week. Solid coffee and service in this small shop! I tried out an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, and it was definitely a good drink. Yellow Spruce is a local coffee shop founded and operated by retired Veterans and local Police Officers. Jackelyn was patient with me as I decided my order, she also recommended me the dirty chai with oat milk and it was divine, extra creamy, and super smooth. The coffee beans are roasted to perfection. The employees are helpful and polite. I honestly have never had a bad latte here. My most recent visit I bought a couple of bags of green tea (mixed leaves). Both were very good. This place will not disappoint you and will not serve you "bitter/burnt" coffee drinks. Yellow spruce is my number 1 choice for non-corporate coffee shops. read more
