I was here on a Saturday around noon. There were some people inside sitting at tables, but no line. They have dog treats just outside the door but only allow service dogs inside. We were greeted right away and our drinks were made in just a few minutes. They have a clearly posted menu, but you do have to ask what syrups/flavors they offer. I did not see any special or seasonal drinks. I ordered an iced lavender latte with skim milk. The coffee they use is very mild tasting. I did appreciate that they had lavender, but I wanted a little more oomph to my drink that I just don't think they can get with the beans they are using. Prices are pretty normal for the area but it will take a more flavorful coffee to get me back.

I hadn't been to Echo since they first opened, back when I used to stop in while dating someone who drank Americanos. I'm not usually a coffee drinker (especially not the fully caffeinated kind), but lately I've been exploring local coffee shops and decided to give them another try. They no longer have the small lunch menu I remember, it's just baked goods now (croissants, banana bread, danish, muffins, etc.). I ordered a peanut butter bar and a decaf latte with almond milk and hazelnut. I believe the decaf option was their mushroom-based alternative. Compared to other shops I've tried recently where every coffee has been smooth and free of bitterness, this one stood out for having a noticeably bitter taste. I'm not sure how that's possible in a decaf/mushroom drink, but it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the others I've had. That said, I still appreciate Echo's community spirit. They currently have a sign up offering free coffee with a case of water (August 2025) and support the Arizona Humane Society, which is wonderful to see. Inside, the vibe is still relaxed and conducive to working or studying. While the coffee wasn't my personal favorite this time, Echo remains a nice, mellow spot for those who enjoy supporting local businesses.

Stopped by for my morning coffee fix ! I ordered a large Ice mocha latte here ! The lady who took my order was very nice taking my order ! She almost had the guy make the wrong drink but thankfully I overheard her and corrected her ! The inside was very nice , clean , I love how they donate to the humane society which I think is amazing !!

Barista working on my Americano

Stopped in today while in area. Few outdoor tables so Luna and I settled in. Got my usual Americano which is my go-to to evaluate coffee spots. Barista was in there working on her own and there were more than a few customers sitting inside, but she had it all under control and made my drink pretty quickly. As I was waiting, was tempted by the display case of pastries, muffins and breads. Got 2 chocolate peanut butter bars and a piece of morning glory bread (carrot) to go. They look delish. They donate some of their profit to Az Humane Society, which I love. Big jar of dog treats at front door, do I know Luna will want to go back Facility, patio, service and food are 5-star. I thought my Americano was a bit bitter, which for a coffee shop is not great; but I admit everyone has different tastes in coffee. If you are in this area, it's worth a stop

I really wanted to like Echo coffee because they support the humane society but the coffee was average. We visited Echo coffee on a Saturday around mid-morning. There is a spacious parking lot and the coffee shop offered plenty of seating and a friendly environment. We ordered an iced vanilla latte & an iced lavender latte. We were the only people ordering at this times and we received our orders quickly! However, the coffee itself was average.

Great welcoming & convenient location. I haven't tried any other drinks besides the Iced Chai Latte, which is my favorite and made quickly. Early mornings I love the vibes/music!! Seating area outside, WiFi and my favorite thing is they contribute 1% of every purchase to Arizona Humane Society.

It is very vibey inside! Could definitely be a cute place to study, work, or catch up with a friend. I didn't see any specialty drinks, or seasonal menu (major bummer for me, love an extra special bev). The service is very quick and super sweet!! I ended up getting a matcha with oat milk and lavender. It wasn't anything extraordinary, but not bad!

Great coffee, good space to work, friendly staff! Can't complain about this regular place for working. The cold brew is one of my faves. Dog friendly, even has a little treat jar!!

Quiet place to get work done. The barista at the counter was very patient with my questions. I ended up getting a chai latte. It was very good! The place was clean and the bathroom was clean. There's free wifi. There are limited outlets. Super cute and sleek. I really do love and appreciate that 1% of their profits are donated to helping animals.

Flew to AZ for my friend's wedding. Conveniently this coffee shop is 1 mile away from my airbnb. I love the retro aesthetic and the place is super clean. Came in around 9am place wasn't super busy, baristas were super quick with our order. Plenty of coffee and tea choices. I tried the hot matcha latte with oat, I really liked how it wasn't too sweet, perfect for my taste buds.

We were referred by craft 64 and employee named PEter. He said we will love their coffee. We definitely called them to confirm if they were open. Which they were. Super friendly staff who recommended cold brew! Which was perfect for the heat in phoenix. Loved the deal of two bags of coffee and free drink. The staff suggested to wait few mins for fresh baked beans. It was so nice of them. Its a very cute and clean place.

Ask the Community - Echo Coffee

Do you still offer soy as a milk alternative?

Yes

How much indoor seating? I need to meet someone and talk about an hour. I've not been to Echo. Is this conducive for that? What about parking?

Cool place for a meeting! Great vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating are available subject to social distancing. Masks are mandatory indoors. Parking in front. Great coffee drinks and very fresh selection of pastries - all roasted and baked onsite.

Do they offer a coconut milk option?

we offer coconut, almond, soy and oat milk alternatives :)

Do they serve Cold brew?

Yes

Do they warm up their pastries? Ive been there about 3 times and each time I was there and got a muffin or something similar, it was stale, stiff, etc.

The baristas will warm anything you ask them to. The only thing that is heated by default is the vegetarian quiche.

Stopped by for coffee w a friend on a Sunday morning. Pretty standard pricing for coffee ($7 for a…read morewhole milk latte). Plenty of foam, very tasty. Saw they also offer pastries and paninis, although did not try any. PLENTY of seating, both tables/chairs, and a few couches spread throughout - in the general coffee bar area, to the side in the walkway, as well as behind the coffee bar. Large water dispenser if you are feeling dehydrated. Wifi is on a board behind the counter. A couple floor outlets in the front area, with more outlets in the area in the back if you need a charge. Stayed after and worked for 6+ hrs, up until they closed at 6pm. Single bathroom in the back - not the cleanest throughout the day, but got the job done. Left smelling like delicious coffee. Great, central location with plenty of parking to work for the day.

I was a regular at cartel coffee. I went in today and ordered the seasonal CCL (I think was the…read morename). Almost $9 coffee. Went outside to work and while on the phone with my client, accidentally spilled my entire coffee. Only had one sip of it. I was so bummed, went up to let them know I spilled on accident, and to see if I can get another. She went to the terminal and rang me in another $9, while seeing my entire coffee was on the floor. It definitely rubbed me the wrong way, and I told her nevermind... I left and got another drink at Sip Coffee. I wasn't going to spend $18 on coffee there. Even with it being my fault, in customer service, that's not the right thing to do at all. Not in this economy! I also posted about my disappointment on my IG story and they saw my story and had an opportunity to make things right but they still chose not to! There are so many other wonderful coffee shops in Old Town who absolutely would never do this. Go to Brightside Cafe, Berdena's or Fourtillfour instead. All amazing options, and better coffee!! :)
