I got the Milky Way latte and it was better than I was expecting since I didn't make any adjustments to the drink on the CP app. I will definitely go back and try other things. There was a Samoa seasonal coffee drink that I would probably like, and they have food there as well. Staff was super friendly and my coffee was ready, waiting for me to pick up after ordering from CP app.

He declined, citing "safety reasons" without any further explanation. When I politely asked what the safety concern was and showed him my thermos, his response was simply "I just said 'no'." No attempt to explain the policy, no offer of an alternative, no effort to help. I left without my coffee. For context, my reason for using a personal thermos is to avoid the plastic lining in paper cups leaching into hot coffee, a legitimate and well-documented concern. This is also better for the environment. Most shops accommodate this without hesitation. I have no issue with a shop having policies around personal containers. What I do have an issue with is a staff member dismissing a reasonable customer question with zero courtesy or explanation. The owner should know that this interaction cost them a customer, and that "safety" isn't a satisfying answer when no actual safety concern is articulated. I won't be back

Service was also fantastic- the lovely barista was thorough in her explanations of each cold coffee option to help me find what I was looking for! My sandwich was also lovely- the Sunrise Sandwich on an Everything Bagel is easily my favorite breakfast sandwich in Tempe. The Basil Pesto adds a bit of freshness to an otherwise very rich sandwich. Also stopped in a few more times on my evening walks for a Lavender Haze (seasonal earl grey sage honey drink: EXCELLENT!) and their seasonal energy drink- it was a Sunset Spritz (energy with grapefruit pink cordial): both delicious. Happy to say service has improved greatly. Employees are on task and happy to answer my questions. The drinks on the seasonal menu are very good, and their classics are also great. The staff was nice and friendly and let me know that the traditional Yemeni coffee was supposed to be hot. And glad I ordered a hot one - the coffee had a complex flavor with rich cardamom. It was definitely unique but not overwhelming at all. I also asked for less sweet and it was perfect. The coffee shop interior was clean, quiet, and welcoming. Would be a perfect spot to work and study.
