We went here on the way home last night. Customers service was great. We've had better ice cream. I found the flavors underwhelming, especially the cake batter. It would have been better without the sprinkles. We did not get a macaron and marshmallow with our ice cream, which I was looking forward to. We didn't ask as we were afraid to embarrass him.
This place is a small but mighty hidden gem! It reminded me of an old time ice cream shop vibe and felt really laid back. The menu has so many options and a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from! We both really enjoyed the ice cream and would definitely come back. The staff member was nice but had headphones in the whole time so we had to keep reporting ourselves which was a little awkward. Great flavored ice cream but just on the pricey side!
I thought this was a lovely little ice cream shop. The flavors were tasty and the portions were good and the service was quick. It's on the pricy side, but isn't all ice cream these days? My daughter got the cookie cup and the warm toasted marshmallow really was a nice touch. And there were 4 non-dairy/vegan options, which was helpful for our crew and the chocolate tasted great. Definitely recommend stopping by.
Truly a "hidden" gem. This Fatty Daddy's location is a little hard to find as there is no visible sign from the street. I've been to their location on Roosevelt several years ago and remember enjoying it. What I loved most about Fatty Daddy's are the basic flavours and toppings. Ice cream doesn't need to be complicated. There were about 15/20 flavors. Samples were encouraged. I chose a cup cookie dough which was like 4 small scoops. Perfect treat on a warm AZ night.
Tried butter pecan ice cream with toasted marshmallow. Taste is decent and never tried with marshmallow ever before on an ice cream. Interesting combo. Lady was nice and offered sample when asked. Simple and cute ambience. But parking is an issue. And very pricey for what's offered. Just a scoop of ice cream with one topping costed almost $10

Cute little spot with a lot of good flavors! The girl in the shop was super sweet and friendly. Explained what they offered since it was our first time there. I had the double that came with a macaron and a toasted marshmallow. Fruity pebbles and birthday cake flavored in the cup. Perfect amount and very good! Clean place with seats inside and outside. We got there and we're the only 2 there; soon enough people started coming in! Totally recommend! So many options.

Trust that ladies, kids, and those possessed by Zuul will also enjoy selecting cookie cups with hand crafted gelato, chewy macarons, and all the fixings, then watching as they are stacked into sugary Leaning Tower(s) of Pisa. Luckily these treats don't take 200 years to construct! The foundation of each monolithic masterpiece isn't complete until topped with the pièce de flúffy rèsistance, a gourmet marshmallow torched Ghostbusters-style before one's very eyes. My precariously-piled creation included Nutella gelato with Oreos, a coconut macaron, and of course, the burnt 'mallow topper! Buono! Squisito! More is more! Over all this cute shop is a perfect place to chat and mallow out with friends, as long as you don't will your dessert into a 100-ft tall destructive entity. I give it 5 cross stream blasts..."Who ya gonna call?"
This is a very tiny but tasty place. I had the "almost famous" cookie cup. I chose the banana peanut butter ice cream with a caramel macaron. It comes with a toasted marshmallow on top of the macaron. It's not a "jet puff" marshmallow either, so it's better. You get the cold creamy ice cream, the warm toasted pillowy marshmallow and the "crunchy with a good chew" macaron. If I wasn't on a diet I would have eaten 2 of these. #worthit We also had the honeydew green tea. It was just the right amount of sweet. The green tea wasn't an overpowering tea. It was a cup of fruity perfection. Y'all need to check this place out. I'm not normally a huge ice cream fan but this is one place you absolutely cannot miss. Sooo tasty omg
Hands down our favorite ice cream shop in the valley! You absolutely have to try their cookie cup. All of the ice cream is made fresh with great ingredients, marshmallows and macaroons are made from scratch, and it's the best combo! Both locations are great and the ambiance is always inviting and comfortable. I am so surprised to see so many 4 star reviews. We drive from Ahwatukee to both of their locations all the time because it really is the best. Be sure to ask whomever is working for samples so you don't get a weird combo.. some of our favorites are the strawberry cheesecake, vanilla lavender, fruity pebbles, and birthday cake flavors.

Yummy yummy this is so brilliant! A scoop of ice cream with toasted mallow. I had a kids scoop of banana ice cream and a toasted mallow on top, it literally just melted in my mouth. And actually a kids scoop was good enough for me to have it at night, the flavor wasn't too artificial, so it was good. They have a variety of flavor options, which made me a little difficult to make a choice. Anyways they also open til 9:30pm, so if you are craving something sweet at night, this is the place! read more

The ice cream is good! I would recommend getting a scoop or two of something. When I came I had the fruity pebbles ice cream and it hit the spot although they can stand to add more fruity pebbles to the mix. My husband got the cookie marshmallow cup thing and he said it was delicious, but it's a bit pricey at $10 Finally, I ordered a taro milk tea. The milk tea had run out, so I turned the milk tea down. However, the girl proceeded to make it. With water. I was a little confused and a little mortified but I decided to try it. Why the heck not? Anyway, it was really gross. Now at a grand total of a little over $20, I felt a little disappointed by it all, so overall 3 stars. read more

Just moved to the neighborhood and after a long day had a craving for ice cream. This place is located off the main strip on Miller, and unless you know it's there, it's so easy to miss - they need a sign! They have a good selection of ice creams, and a couple of sorbets, but it's a rare ice cream joint that will devote the prep space and maintenance for an espresso machine; necessary for making my personal weakness: The Affogato. (It's a scoop of ice cream - traditionally vanilla but I personally suggest chocolate!) topped with two shots of fresh espresso.) No fancy decor. No faux champagne flutes. No lines or loud music. And no issues parking either. It's basically Milk Bar transported from the lower west side of Manhattan, just more comfortable. read more

I came in the place assuming that I will come out feeling like crap because most dessert places serve humongous portion. Surprisingly this place didn't made me feel like that! For me the portion was right. Not only that, the ice cream is worth the calories because it's just that good! I had the Maltesers flavor ice cream with the red velvet macaroons and melted marshmallow on top. And it literally tasted like melted cold maltesers! Me and my coworkers found our favorite dessert spot in Scottsdale! read more
We tried this ice cream shoppe on a whim. It was within 2 minutes of where we were so we tried it. From what I read online, there were great reviews and I was excited to indulge and try it. My boyfriend got the strawberry sorbet on a waffle cone and I opted to try their almost famous cookie cup. They allow to choose 2 scoops of a flavor they offer, then you choose your macaroon flavor, and finally they toast a marshmallow right on top. I'm not one to finish an ice cream dish or dessert but I finished every drop of this cookie cup, it was delicious and I highly recommend this place!! It was fun to order and I would certainly come back again soon! The girls there are really nice and were super helpful in their menu explanations etc. love it! read more
Closer to 3-3.5 stars overall, but rounding up for their awesome toasted marshmallow and large macarons! Fatty Daddy's is hidden in a tiny strip of stores behind Church's Chicken on the main road. They weren't busy around 8:30pm on a Friday night, and we got to try a couple of flavors before committing to our cookie cup. I tried: -Dragonfruit Lychee Sorbet: The lychee flavor was a lot more prominent than the dragonfruit, but it was too sweet overall. I also didn't like the consistency of the sorbet, which was really thick. -Malted Milk Ball: Ok, but I wish the malt balls were chopped more finely in the ice cream. The consistency was also too creamy/smooth, and I wish there was more texture. -Strawberry Guava: Also really sweet, but you could taste both of the flavors. -Butter Pecan: Ok, but the vanilla base was too creamy/smooth. I ended up order the Fatty Daddy's Cookie Cup (w/Fruity Pebbles Macaron & Toasted Marshmallow, $7.29, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1PX-oqpSpDUNi2ZZQI5YWQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVX), which was pricey for the amount of ice cream you actually receive. However, the macaron and toasted marshmallow were awesome!! Macarons come in different flavors, and they had red velvet, fruity pebbles, vanilla, chocolate, almond, caramel available among others. They also sell bubble tea/boba drinks here and coffee in addition to ice cream. I would be tempted to come back just for the macaron and marshmallow, but probably wouldn't get the ice cream again. There are a good amounts of tables and chairs available inside the shop, and they also have some board games to play. Parking is limited as there are only a few spots in front of the shop, but it seemed like there was also street parking available nearby. read more

Fatty Daddy's is the hidden gem of the ice cream cave. Small and quaint, but very clean and hospitable with a relaxed atmosphere. My family and i went here last night and were soooooooo impressed!!! I got the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, with an in house made, fruity pebble macaron, an oooey-gooey-melty, homemade marshmallow with chocolate on top- was it absolutely AMAAAAAAZING and worth every single calorie???? YES MA'AM!!! We chatted it up with the sweet and friendly owner, Lala i believe was her name and just had a really enjoyable time. I loved the glittery spin art on the wall and tgeir adorable little penguin. I really like the fact that they have what is available listed and the different types of cups and sundaes you can get. Next time i would like to try their bubbly waffle and i will ALWAYS get that toasted marshmallow on top. It is a little hard to find and you won't see it from the main street so definitely look out for it!!! I will definitely be back! (: read more

If I call it a hidden gem then everyone will know about it and it won't be hidden... so I'll just call it a "gem" and move on :-) Located on the backside we were biking through the area via the trails and needed a little sweet treat. With the summer heat, it's a great refresh!! Stopped in to have a combination of ice cream, shakes, and some gelato. During COVID and social distancing is enforced along with facemasks. We were all undecided but they had patience and clearly we weren't the first to stare and figure out what we wanted. During COVID you can't do any testing, which blows, but we get it. Never the less, the choices we got we all spot on and refreshing. I like how it wasn't "overwhelming" in size and price so it was a good fit. Would recommend if your looking to satisfy your sweet craving during the day. read more

Tried their mango ice cream for the first time, we have been there before and we thought the ice cream tasted old and perhaps was a bad one so here we go again the second time trying a different flavor and the ice cream didn't taste fresh at all. Overpriced a single scoop $6 ridiculous for old ice cream. I asked what the specials and the lady said, we don't have specials, not only is this place a joke but honestly overpriced. There are so many better places in Scottsdale which one can get better deals! read more
Let me just say- the marshmallow wasn't worth the cost. I was here last Saturday night and being new to the area found this place on yelp. I couldn't wait to try this yummy marshmallow dessert and was disappointed. When I arrived around 7pm there was only one worker. She was very quick with everything she did (kiddos) about ten minutes later another worker came in. Altogether it took 20 minutes for my boyfriend and I to get ice cream. The ice cream tasted very good but my marshmallow was overly toasted and ruined it. It wasn't worth puff over a dollar for just to be tossed in the trash. But the 3 stars is for the ice cream which alone tasted good. read more

It was alright, after seeing them in multiple places I was excited to try something new. The flavors were good but nothing out of this world. The toasted marshmallow was good. The vanilla macaroon was hard so I wish it had a soft center but it had good flavor read more

After hearing good things about this place, we wanted to check it out since we were finally in the area. It was pretty dead around 1:30pm on a Saturday, but there was plenty of parking as it's kind of a hole in the wall place. I noticed they had boba so I got a black milk tea, and we also got a cookie cup.. which consisted of an ice cream flavor of your choice, a macaron, and a marshmallow on top. We chose strawberry sorbet and a vanilla macaron, of course topped with the marshmallow which they "toast" for you with a mini blowtorch. The boba tea was pretty average. I've had much better and wouldn't recommend getting it here, but it was still drinkable and fine. The cookie cup was okay.. the marshmallow was really good but the rest was just average. Nothing special taste wise. I will say, I love the name of this place, and the novelty of the cookie cup is pretty cool (especially for those who like to instagram their food) but I just don't see myself coming back, unless someone else wants to. read more
