I honestly almost walked right by Luxe Bar, totally unaware that they were an ice cream spot. Their very "luxe" logo and sister concept a luxury/designer resale shop. The two shops are joint and definitely scream luxe in every way. A super modern and beautiful space with all the designer puns and cute offerings from trinkets, to clothes, house goods and of course ice cream bars. They offer chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, cheesecake or a banana for dipping. You can build your own or select one of their speciality bars - both coming in around $9. I opted for the Neverfull of nuts. A vanilla ice cream base, dipped in chocolate, rolled with peanuts, a Reese's and Nutella drizzle. It was very good and definitely enjoyed during the beautiful sunny day in Old Town. The service was great, friendly, quick and helpful with suggestions. My grandparents who were visiting from out of town, loved it. Overall, it was a delicious treat, beautiful store and hit the spot. I do feel the price point is a tad steep and they didn't have any children of small offerings, but I suppose that goes hand in hand with the luxe vibe. I would definitely return, but also a few other local spots that equally hit the mark. read more

As a self-proclaimed ice cream connoisseur, I highly recommend Luxe Bar! I don't spend much time in Old Town - in fact, last time I was there, I think this was a donut place. They really did nice renovations! You can either build your own bar or get one of their recommended combos. My husband and I each got our own. We definitely could've shared, but we wanted to try different things! I did a custom bar with chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, and peanut butter drizzle. You can get two toppings and a drizzle, but I'm glad I just got the chocolate cake. It was AMAZING. I loved everything about it. My husband got the March Madness feature, which was a combo of Oreos and Andes mints with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. You can choose chocolate or vanilla ice cream - he chose chocolate. It was exactly what he wanted. The staff were so friendly and patient with everyone in front of us who took awhile to decide. The shop is pristinely clean as well! The bars are a little pricey, but the quality is there and fairly justifies the hefty price tag. read more

I really liked the idea of this place when we walked by. The shop is really cute and clean inside. It is set up with various knick knacks you can purchase and look at while you wait for ice cream. We both wanted to make our own bars. The staff member helped us right away and explained the process. My friend was a bit off put that the Ice cream came out of a package. I have been wanting to try this spot for a long time. But it closes early especially for being in old town. We randomly came across it and it was open. The inside is adorable love all the knickknacks. The staff was great very helpful. The ice cream bar we make was chocolate dipped with peanuts and sprinkles. It was delicious we enjoyed it. This establishment is inside a little boutique store in old town. The concept is much like Cold Stone with the difference that you are covering frozen bar of some sort with chocolate, a topping and then a drizzle if you prefer. You can also choose from one of their signature bars. I got the mango on a stick and my son got the banana. We both got strawberry topping. It was good but nothing exciting especially for the cost. The lady who worked here was very nice. You get to choose what you want dipped, cheesecake, vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, banana. There's a choice of white or semi sweet chocolate. Then you choose your toppings. Bruh...it was too big for my mouth. I had cheesecake with semi sweet chocolate, peanuts, nutella and a peanut butter cup. The cheesecake was okay. I'm assuming it was a no bake cheesecake, and it was more lemony than I anticipated. Still good. They were not stingy with toppings which is awesome. But the nuts got all over my lipgloss, and they were huge. So, I looked like a hot mess of nuts and chocolate. It probably didn't help that it was over 100 degrees out so the chocolate was melting fast. The mini got a chocolate ice cream bar with white chocolate, sprinkles, red velvet crumbs and caramel drizzle. She loved it but it was a bit much for her. She couldn't finish it bc it was huge. I hope they don't change the size of anything except the peanuts and maybe the pretzels. The chunks of pretzels looked very large. The offer a few bottled beverages and have a punch card. It's located inside a cute little boutique. I'll probably come back when it's a little cooler just so everything (and I) don't melt so fast. But it's fun to customize your treats.
