Not a long wait no one at all in here. Lots of construction going on so you have to go through a maze to get in. YUM!!!! A coworker recommended Slickables and I am so happy we stopped by. You can build your own ice cream sandwich and they have a variety of cookies and ice cream to choose from. My sandwich was made with a brownie, a chocolate chip cookie, and cookies and cream ice cream. My husband got a blonde brownie, sugar cookie, and cookies and cream ice cream. We picked up dinner across the street to go and grabbed this for dessert after, so my only regret is not eating them immediately because the ice cream melted a bit before we made it back home. Cute little ice cream shop on the corner of Mill and 7th. They don't have very many flavors but what they did have was good, and they make up for it by also having a bunch of cookies. We were wanting some ice cream and around the area. Slickables is located right on a Mill Ave with street parking and parking garages nearby. We walked in to fresh cookie and brownies and plenty of different ice creams to choose from. We decided on an ice cream sandwich with 1 funfetti cookie and 1 M&M with strawberry ice cream. We also got a scoop of birthday cake and mint chip for the kids. When we were checking out they also have a basket of "day old cookies" 4 to a pack so we grabbed one of those. Everything was only around $10!! I thought that was a great price for everything. The cookies were freshly baked and chewy. We really liked the funfetti and M&M they were both good. Who's from LA here? You too? Well, you're in for a treat! This place is a no frills but fave of ours because they serve Thrifty ice cream and homemade cookies and brownies. Like, STEP DOWN CRUMBL. Slickables is where it's at. Not much indoor seating with two tables, but they're served in cups (albeit styrofoam--meh) and good for walking down Mill and munching away. Been here many times and bring friends. Cookies alone are less than a buck each and ice cream sammies are $4.50 each. Ditch the styrofoam and serve in paper sleeves for a cost-effective alternative that doesn't totally trash the planet, then keep on keeping on. read more

The birthday cake flavor was so sweet and delicious. The cookies are soft and flavorful. They aren't hard at all, making it perfect for a sandwich. My son ordered a milk shake and while 6 dollars is a little high it was the size that made it exorbitant. I was surprised when I noticed that Slickables served Thrifty ice cream. I honestly didn't know how I felt at first. I came here to try something new, but Thirty ice cream makes me nostalgic of my childhood since that is were my mom and I used to go together all the time in San Diego. What I like about this place is that they could have marked the prices up on their product, especially their ice cream sandwiches, but they didn't.
