Paris Baguette specializes in "French-Asian" bakery items originating in South Korea. I'm familiar with their brand for many years now on the streets of New York. I didn't realize that actually opened in the West Coast first before making their way to the East Coast and rapidly expanding their chain. I know them for their cakes being light, airy and beautifully decorated. Most especially for the season or holiday. I recently tried their strawberry soft cake and it really retained the strawberry flavor. The texture was soft and most certainly airy while not being overly sweet. It made a great pair with coffee. I don't even know where to start. When you walk in it smells so wonderful and you get overwhelmed by the amount of pastries everywhere, it puts new meaning to kid in a candy shop! You literally just want to grab everything and beg your parents to buy it, but you realize that you are the parent AND the child! lol I came here while visiting in Chandler, Arizona, and when I got home, I discovered that there was one right here in San Antonio and I almost passed out! Every one of their pastries that we tasted was so good, we even went back the second day to buy more. We are absolute suckers for Lavazza coffee , and it was the perfect coffee to wash these pastries down. Everything we had was delicious, the service was great, they have staff walking around answering questions and making suggestions. It was a great experience. Everything was very clean and they constantly have someone walking around wiping tables getting them ready for the next group. Not pictured is a savory quiche that my husband picked up for breakfast the following day that was absolutely delicious! They have tons of cakes and sandwiches and so many options. I don't like to write bad reviews, but I think this needs to be called out. While the food is always amazing here and the creative baked good are awesome, this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had at this location. I come here regularly to purchase items for myself, gifts and for gatherings. I was to here to purchase several items for a care package when a service attendant/rep offered to check me. She started to ring up my items and announced the total, I told her I have a rewards member card and she immediately stated, that I need to tell/show her before she began ringing items up (in a very rude tone). As I was trying to get it scanned, she proceeded to package my items in individual bag (2 items) when I asked her for a box, since it was a care package. Again, with her rude tone, she stated, I should have told her that before she started. In both cases, perhaps your training should include asking this stuff up front...not that hard and saves on the bad attitude. The rep was name Jaremy H and she needs to check her attitude or consider a different job opportunity. I will refrain from frequenting this place of business for others in other parts of town that sell the same products, there are choices and I will give my business to other deserving proprietors. I have been visiting Paris Baguette quite often lately. I was introduced to this place by an ex last year who loved this place. We would go to the location in Scottsdale. Then I found out there is a location at the H Mart down the street from me. Paris Baguette is a South Korean bakery and café that is based out of New Jersey. They have a number of locations across the U.S. Each time that I come here I try and grab a few new things from the grab-and-go section that I have not tried before. I like to walk around with my tray and tongs and pick a few things out. Paris Baguette has both sweet and savory baked goods. Full cakes can be ordered ahead of time online. Many of the pastries come wrapped packaged to keep them soft and fresh. I find that it is really easy to run up a tab while putting together a bag of goodies to take home. First of all, I would like to say this was heavenly!! Every single bite was an oh my God moment! The savory items ordered are to die for! Paris Baguette never fails me, they are always so good. This time we got a handful of treats. I really enjoyed picking tongs and being able to grab your own desserts. The mochi donuts were super good and the fruity pebbles one was the best!!!! I love the chewy texture and the cereal added a great crunch, it was also super flavorful. The bottom left croissant roll thing was yummy but the inside was.... interesting. I feel like it was bland and the texture of the cream was not good... I ate around it tho because the rest was delicious. Next time i'll grab a coffee! Service was quick and you do most of the work (if you just get desserts) so i only interacted with the workers when i was paying (they were nice). This cafe/bakery is a spot i never expected it to be. PB is located inside HMart, a asian grocery store. French does have a significant influence in Vietnam, however I just found out that PB is a South Korean company. With HMart also being a Korean company, this totally make sense. Smallest Paris Baguette location I've ever been to but surprisingly, despite how tight and small it is, and overly crowded on weekends, the line moves quickly. I typically always get their blueberry chiffon large cake for birthday celebrations since the way they make their cakes is way less sugary than other bakeries. First time at this location and I was quite surprised it is tucked inside the H Mart in the Asian district amongst several other businesses. It is small compared to the Scottsdale, Chandler and Phoenix locations. It was very crammed at the registers for two customers to pay, it was kind of weird. Service was okay. They offer the same delicious pastries as they have at the other locations but I have to say, the green tea did not taste the same and Chandler, Scottsdale or Uptown Plaza (I couldn't figure it out, is it different tea or did they just make it stronger? After trying their choclate chiffon cake at a friend's place, I had to check this place out myself! The menu has a variety of items, coffees, pastries, savories, cakes all easy to grab and go! I spent too much time debating what I wanted but you can pick up a tray and a pair of tongs and grab what you want from the shelves. Then go to cashier and check out. Quick and easy (unless you dont know what you want like me and make circles looking at everything!) I had the choclate chiffon cake slice and tried the BBQ chicken grilled cheese. I like this place because it was clean and the service was very fast. I came here on a time crunch and i was in n out of the busy bakery within 10minutes getting a latte and box of goodies. I visited today and grabbed a couple things. We usually grab a full box as a large treat to our family. On busier days the staff seems to be slightly more attuned as if a manager is in sight and so the staff seems to be less chatty. Today I had to wait for a conversation to end before being offered to check out. But offered no pleasantries except the no eye contact, I didn't really care, "how's it going". Usually I am offered to get my bread wrapped sausage warmed up. This escaped me while going through the motions of purchasing. Once purchasing was finished she kind of sat there and gave me a look like she's confused while I'm still standing there waiting for confirmation that my that paying for the purchase has gone through so then I ask, Understood -- here's the revised version that keeps it firm but doesn't say you won't return: (1 star) I'm still dumbfounded that a customer can finish a purchase and not even get a simple "You're all set--have a good day." Any basic courtesy would've been fine, but instead the service felt dismissive and unwelcoming. After I got home, I called because I don't like to see a business fail--and if retraining is needed, management should want visibility into what customers experience. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told, "I'm sorry, they're probably too busy," and no one offered a callback or any way to follow up. The person on the phone wasn't very welcoming either, which only reinforced the same overall attitude. This also wasn't a one-off. On a prior busy visit, a staff member came out from the back to replenish pastries. When we didn't move fast enough (maybe 10-15 seconds), they started slamming doors/windows while opening them, avoided eye contact completely, and made it very clear they were annoyed. Love the convenience of the location inside H Mart. I wasn't planning on getting anything, but was intrigued by the Dubai chocolate matcha latte. I asked to exclude the chocolate drizzle on top so it'd be less sweet since you can't adjust the pre-mix mixture. Unfortunately, the blended drink came out too sweet for me. The matcha was a blended milky mixture so a bit light, topped with the chocolate froth. The shredded pastry strips were good, but I did have to grab a spoon to eat it. read more

I drive to the Mesa and Scottsdale location just for the raisin bread. The cakes, croissant, and other breads are equally as good, but the raisin bread is my favorite. In the mornings, I enjoy it lightly toasted and buttered. As a noontime treat, I eat a slice as is with a cup of tea. read more

If you love pastries this place is a dream come true!!! Sooo many options it's a little overwhelming but I've been twice and everything I've gotten has been amazing. Specifically the coffee Cronut. It is unreal! I highly recommend getting one if you stop in. I spoke with a staff member and she said everything is made in house that morning which is so awesome they do that. Paris Baguette is a solid bakery chain. I've been to the LA and Las Vegas locations and was never disappointed. This Paris Baguette is not an exception! Although it is a smaller Paris Baguette compared to other locations, all the staple items are offered. Make sure to go in the morning for the best selection! During my most recent visit, I tried the sweet potato bread, hot dog roll, ham and cheese pastry, and curry croquette. Everything was delicious! The pastries were fresh and well prepared. I wish I lived closer to Mesa. Shopping at Hmart and picking up pastries from Paris Baguette would be super convenient. Price of cake is ridiculous and fruits inside of cake ( strawberries) are not even ripe. I not impressed.

I was excited to try this place. It was so-so. I love pastries and ads for this kept popping up in my feeds. I ordered a small latte, king cream donut, and ham and cheese croissant. The ham and cheese croissant was good. It was crispy and had good flavor. I might go back to try a plain croissant to see if it's a proper croissant. Can't really tell when it's stuffed with other stuff as it affects the layering, etc. I definitely won't buy anything fried as you'll see why in the rest of the review. Coffee was good, average. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if you're ordering some pastries anyway, the latte was decent. The donut was a totally different story. Ugh! What was that I just ate? My stomach is hating me and I'm burping that awful taste. I've never had a donut where it's juicy from grease when you bite into it. To make matters worse, the oil was stale. Either they don't change it often enough and/or it was rancid from the start. Plus, why was it drenched in oil? Did they not drain it properly once it was out of the fryer? Was it not the right temp when they dropped in the donuts? I don't know how it works. I'm guessing it was sitting in there and absorbed the oil. The filling didn't taste like custard. It tasted like sweetened milk. The service was average. The store is small so it makes it hard to get on the side of the pastry case closest to the register. For those that don't know, you pick out your pastries and bring them up to the cashier. I think it would be nice if they offered to warm up your pastry. I think the ham and cheese would have been better if warmed up. I don't know if I'll return to this one. I read some of the other reviews and was discouraged about the comment regarding hands washing. I don't understand why people are giving it 4 stars. Although I guess it's because, the Phoenix and surrounding area don't have very good selections of bakeries. Plus, this one is a chain so it's not like the small mom and pop owned bakeries back east. I loved their cakes in the display window. Wish I had an occasion to get one. But the tiny tiramisu tart was the perfect size and was so delicious. Just be care not to inhale all the cocoa powder on the top when you eat it. The red bean bun was pretty good as well.
