Pan & Pan. Bread thoughts. Fresh and delicious all the way round. They have Mexican products and all the childhood goods. I have been coming here for years and it's always soooo good. I love the quick service and the colorful paintings all the way around. The fact the pan dulce and bolillo is made fresh daily and hourly. You can't go wrong with this Mesa treasure. Definitely must and enjoy the pan dulce.

Don't let the exterior fool you--this place is a gem. It's a true panadería, carnicería, and a go-to spot for comida preparada (takeout food). I'm here pretty much every weekend, and for good reason. The panadería is top-tier. My mom swears by their bolillo, and they make racks and racks of it fresh. Their cakes are beautifully traditional, not over-the-top, just classic flavors done right--and the prices? Spot on. I've had my eye on the cajeta cake for a while now. One of my personal favorites? Orejas. They make them perfectly crispy and buttery every time. Their carnicería is worth checking out too. I've had their fresh chorizo, and it's delicious. Their chicharrón? Also really good. And their burritos? Always a solid choice. But honestly, they can make you almost anything. The ladies behind the counter are friendly, but keep in mind--this is a real Mexican market. If you don't speak Spanish, have an idea of what you want so you don't hold up the line. If you're unsure, just let others go ahead of you. If you want authentic Mexican pan dulce, fresh bolillo, quality meats, and homestyle takeout food, this is the spot.

La Estrella Panderia is my number one spot for pan dulce. All the sweet breads you can think they have! From Conchas (the pink my favorite), fruit filled empanadas, puerguitos, custard turnovers, pineapple cake, palmeritas. donuts, and other types of cakes. Your sweet tooth will be loving it! If you are not fluent in Spanish it might be intimidating to order, but the ladies are so friendly and pointing always works outs. I've never had a bad service experience and always walk out with items I've wanted. A friend also has told me in the back they have fresh warm tortillas I will have to try those out soon! If looking for a penaderia, go give La Estrella a try!

Came here today to see what desserts and food they have. In the back area of the store, there is a hot food area including very large chicarons. Huge. Everything looked great. I was tempted to get a whole fried fish as well, they're my favorite. The refrigerated desserts looked tempting but I ended up getting a variety of sweet bakery desserts instead. There are so many choices to choose from and everything looked amazing. I ended up getting desserts filled with cheese, apple, pumpkin, cream, and chorizo. Everything was divine. I will definitely be back to get more desserts soon.

Authentic panaderia in a shop that also sell convenience store items. Also has a carneceria in the back it seems. Limited English when ordering bread so I suggest just picking and choosing what looks good or bring a friend that speaks Spanish. I asked what pastries had apple inside and the woman directed me to their empanadas which was delicious. Also had to get my standard concha which unfortunately was a bit drier than what I've had at other panaderias. Got a slice of flan as well but was a bit too sweet for me. Otherwise a very legit and decent panaderia!

This place reminds me of all the hispanic bakeries in TX! Endless choices, hole in the wall, long lines, great prices. I wasn't a fan of the cream horn but the tres leches was on point. Delicious and a slice only costs $3.99.

This beautiful little shop feels like stepping into another world the moment you walk in. It's family run, and you can truly feel the love and creativity that goes into everything they make. From cupcakes and tortes to cookies and so much more, every display case looked amazing. They even had gluten-free options, which was great to see. Gabriel welcomed us in and took the time to walk us through all the delicious treats they had to offer. His kindness and enthusiasm made the experience even more special. Since it was our first visit, we were treated to complimentary shortbread cookies -- we chose lavender and rose -- and both were absolutely delicious. We ended up taking home a strawberry brownie, the tuxedo cupcake with dark chocolate and buttercream frosting, a vanilla cupcake, and the limoncello cupcake. Every single dessert was wonderful and beautifully made. This is the kind of bakery you instantly know you'll return to again and again. We will definitely be back!

I know they're vegetarian, but I wanted to double check with her. She responds as "vegetarian means no meat, right"? All employees working at a food establishment should know what vegetarian means. This was quite baffling to hear. I asked her for a new slice because the one that was out on display was visibly burned and the other slice was touching pepperoni from the meat pizza. As mentioned, I'm a vegetarian. Therefore, I could not have either one of those slices. She proceeds to say that's how the pizzas are. They are slightly burned because they are so sourdough. While I can accept this answer, I do not accept the fact that she would not be willing to give me another slice as a paying customer. She insensitively said she can't give me a new one until all the old slices are taken up. She mentioned that this is their procedure. According to this, they are saying that they will not provide a proper product unless the old, damaged product, or unacceptable by the customer is used up first. If this is their business model, then it is apparent they do not value customer service. This business should have the competence to understand that if they want to sell a product, they cannot sell it in a condition that the customer is not satisfied with. Most importantly, being a vegetarian, they should have the sensitivity to understand that if a slice is touching the meat product then they cannot consume it. And again, the employee completely disregarded my health and religious beliefs by not accommodating me. You usually won't encounter problems when you're just trying to buy bread. However, it reflects on the business's employees greatly when there is a problem and they do not value customer service by resolving or accommodating the customer's satisfaction. I will be switching to Noble exclusively. Especially since it's so readily available at the farmers markets and stores.
