They don't have the elote on the cob, just in the cup... but they don't use the right kind of cup. It should be a short fat cup so you are able to stir everything around, but it's in a tall skinny cup which is impossible. And the "chilé" is Tapatio sauce... that is definitely not what it's supposed to be... super disappointed... I want to go back to Texas to get some real elote.. and the worst part about this place, it's insanely overpriced!!! $11 for two small elotes!? That's unheard of... One of my favorite spots in Chandler, AZ. I come here at least 3-4 times a month! So I am very much surprised I have not yelped it! I have so many favorites that I get regularly. One of them being the tosticamarones, the shrimp is always so fresh! I also love the elote entero or in the cup, always served hot or warm! This place is NOT closed! I just went there last night, to my great pleasure. I was looking for freshly made Aguas Frescas like I'd had at a little place near my mothers at Alma School and Ray Rd that had closed. This place had it and I got a giaiant 32 oz container of Cantalope flavored for $2.50. It was SO delicious and refreshing! You white eople don't know what youre missing. The place was packed with Spanish speaking people who know a good thing when they taste it. I felt a little out of place but didn't care. It was worth the wait in line and the embarrassement of not understanding what was being said around me. A couple of people answered questions for me in line so I knew what to say when it was my turn. They even give you samples of the ice cream and drinks. While I was waiting I got aoout a litttle pad of paper and wrote down all the words I didn't know on the menu to look up later. Here is what I found out: Nieve=snow (very finely shaved ice that absorbs the flavor rather than just sitting in it). Liquidos= fruit and milk blended, a Mexican Smoothie. Elotes=Corn on the cob--on a stick. Chamoyades=pickled fruit. (Shaved ice with fruit syrup, mango, tamarind, lime or pineapple, drizzled with hot sauce, chamoy, lime juice, plus chili powder and salt). It is sometimes served with pickled pig skin on top. Raspado=Shaved ice. Paletas=Popsicles made with fruit. Esquimades=Eskimo pies. Jugos=Juice Fresas (or Fresas cn Crema)=Strawberries (with cream) Duros-Spicy "wagon Wheel" crispy chips Tostiloco=Nachos with lots of stuff on them (Tostilocos: *1 cut open bag Salsa Verde Tostitos *Jicama *Lime juice squeezed over top *Salt and Cayenne Pepper *Tamarind (very, very sour fruit) *Fried Peanuts, Japanese Peanuts *Cucumber *Chamoy (hot sauce, kind of sugary) *Salsa Picante) http://www.flickr.com/photos/guppieluv/2055355301/ Escamoches=Mixed fruit with granola, etc (theres more to it than that) I probably will have to refine these definitions as I do more research and taste more items but this is a start. read more

Um, I'm not white but I still didn't like this place, at least not the ice cream. The lady at the counter was really nice and let us taste a few flavors to see which one we wanted which I hate to say were not very good. They each had a weird texture, kind of gummy and grainy like the ice cream was not smooth. It had a grainy appearance and tasted okay but like I said it was not the greatest. They have several other things on their menu: nachos, banana splits, fresas eon crema, jugos naturales, shaved ice, aguas frescas, elotes, chamoyadas, raspado, duros, candies, paletas, etc. You can't miss the place because it is painted in happy colors with sweets on the outside of the shop. When you walk in everything is pink and blue striped which I love since I love kawaii things and there is a strong smell of sugar in the air which I loved! I waited in line with my sisters- we were not quite ready yet but when another customer got in line behind us we were ready and he was getting and yelled over us whenever you are down prepare me two corns in a cup. Anyway we were ready and she proceeded to look over us. And then it was our turn and she was trying to take my order but then the guy came up and she disregarded me and took his money. And it was all bad. They were really slow they didn't know how to do simple math and were taking way too long on everyone's order. I'm sorry, but if you want crappy quality paletas (fruit or fruit/cream bars) and or sugary "fruit" aguas frescas and or ice cream that has collected ice all week, you will enjoy this place. I've been here twice now and both times left disappointed. Their paletas, though they carry the name of coconut, strawberries, ect, barely even list some of the fruit on their ingredient list - essentially their flavoring comes from the last ingredient you will likely always find on their paletas: "artificial flavorings; artificial colors" That is not what a paleta is about! When my mom made us paletas as kids, she would use all fruit and milk ingredients.... Of course I'm comparing a home-made paleta to a factory-made paleta (see my Betty's review to understand how they make them right). The ice cream, also colorful (probably with artificial flavors and colors) has had that freezer film on the top when I've ordered it and they are not even worth it. Their aguas frescas are the same - sugary and have the hint of fruit in them but heavily rely on sugar to make you enjoy them. I'm sorry, but me thinks not. You're better off making your own aguas frescas (which, btw, is hella easy) and making your own paletas... or just going to Paletas Betty where she uses REAL fruit. read more

The main reason why I came here to see if that place is selling banana agua Fresca (fresh water) since Walmart on Bethany home road in Glendale do sell those agua Fresca (including banana fresh water) that was made from This place. Unfortunately they don't sell it but I was given with the sample to try the strawberry Fresca agua. It tastes really good! So I decided to buy banana popscile and when I got home to taste it. This tastes amazing! It taste all natural with real banana, cream and cinnamon. I don't know what other ingredient are there but I know I will be coming back to buy more banana Popsicles! read more

I'm giving them 5 stars because everything they offer on the menu is delicious . La Michoacana is definitely a staple to our city and you know you're from Chandler if you know exactly where its at. Now with that being said its really sad that SOME of the girls/women you have working there either hate their job or have NO customer service ethic at all, its disappointing to be rushed as to what you want and them having an attitude if you ask for them to tweak something . We get that sometimes there are long lines etc but a smile once in a while or at least saying "thank you for coming in" would be nice not feeling like coming in to your business is an inconvenience to your workers. We visited last night 10/18/2021 around 8 pm the two younger girls working were rude and offered really poor service. One of them not even using gloves when scooping ice cream . read more

The service is "ok" could be better. The raspados are good I wish they used real fruit. It's not fair, I grew up in a border town and I got to experience the real deal in Mexico. If you are not used to the real stuff then this place will be good for you. They have some tables and where you can sit an enjoy your treat. I recommend "el metiche" those are really good. It can get pricey but again it's not fair because I'm used to Mexico. I like their Tostitos preparados. Overall it's a good establishment, great for a quick treat. read more

Let me start with, I do not grow up eating this type of food, so I probably not the best judge of the flavor. The Pina Loco is so pretty, and it taste pretty good. The Paletas is yummy, but they are using corn sugar :( for that, I rather buy Trader's Joe Mango and Cream Bar, as they are cheaper... I tried their ice cream, I do not fancy them, but it since they have like 12 tubs of different ice cream (I didn't count), I'm sure many other customers find it delicious. Customer service is excellent. I bought the paletas to go, they were really nice in assisting me, even after the store hours. He also packed ice cubes in my paletas plastic bag, because we all know how evil is the summer in AZ. Dear owner, if you read this,, would you consider 1. Having a little bar/island, with your utensils, napkin and ice water, paper cups on it? I think this would be a nice add on. 2. I am not very familiar with your menu (and I'm sure some of your customers are like me), it'll be nice if you have a better explanation on what each item on your menu is. It's was Sunday night and no ice cream places were open down town, then we found this little gem. Wow!!! I got the pistachio ice cream on a large waffle cone and my boyfriend got rocky road, the total came to $4.26. What??? That's the cheapest I've ever found for a little ice cream shop. It was amazing and there are so many other things to try, things I cannot pronounce but that look amazing. We are coming back next week with more of the family, thank you guys!! read more

Horrible service with an attitude. We ordered 5 raspados and the they barely had any fruit in them and lack any flavor. She proceeded to initially make them without the fruit and just the syrup with residual pieces of fruit. When she was asked about the lack of fruit she said there was not anymore but continued making them. I told her I didn't want them without the fruit and she rolled her eyes at me.
