I've been to the South Phoenix location a few times but it's out of my way and I don't find myself in that area too often. This is a smaller location than the original but it has a similar look and furniture, which is comforting. Hopefully the same vibes carry over. I decided to go inside but they do have a drive-thru available. I appreciated being greeted by a clear "No ICE" sign on the entrance door, rock on. Tres Leches is big on community and supporting everyone, especially those who are more vulnerable and being persecuted. There were similar additional signage inside as well. The barista at the register was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the cafe horchata in an OG size (24 oz), and initially wanted it hot but since their horchata is made cold, I got it with light ice instead. My drink was ready within a few minutes and I was on my way. When I sipped my drink, I only tasted the coffee on top so I used my own straw to mix it with the horchata at the bottom. It was delicious and hit the spot on a warm day. I love the combination of the sweet rice drink and the bitter coffee. I love 3LC and respect them for their community work, especially against ICE and supporting Palestine. Will def be back! Wishing them all the success.

If I had seen someone else's honest review of the drink I likely would have ordered something else. As for returning it, no one wants to have to do that.
