I am so glad that this was a drive for me because I would be there every day! Everything was amazing! The place was bustling but the staff did a great job moving the line around. I got a lemon bar and eclair that were both amazing, a ham and cheese croissant that was just perfection and the blueberry lemon cruffin which no words can do it justice. I felt the prices were very good for French pastries. I paid $31 for the four. Definitely will be going back. They had amble indoor and outdoor space for seating. Next time I will visit the other location.
Stopped by 9am on a Friday morning (the weekend of their Pacific Islander goodies aka also their collab with Loco Style Grindz). There was a line inside just to the door, and we shuffled through in about 10 min. The specialty cruffins were already running low (about 5 each left, including the ones in the display case). We got each of the specials (one of each cruffin, the kalua pork croissant sandwich, and the mango coconut rice danish. Loved the matcha macadamia nut cruffin (the macadamia mousse was divine). Wasn't a huge fan of the strikingly purple Ube cruffin, as there wasn't that much Ube flavor (tasted just like extract, real Ube next time or not at all). But mousse over cheesecake filling as my personal preference since the cruffins are FILLED to the brim. The cheesecake filling was ever so slightly grainy to me. The croissant sandwich was a BANGER, but you had to get it heated up...really any thing that can be heated up (sans fruit) should be heated up IMO. Didn't care for the danish because cold rice is just a nono for me :/ the danish itself was good, and I will say it photographed beautifully. My friend ordered a coffee, which took around ~5 min to be called. I've visited the Shea Blvd location a couple times, and this lot is smaller for sure. The specialty cruffins here were sold out by 9:30/10am. Not sure if it was 1) the selection was very popular that weekend (Shea location around 10 for a different weekend, they had whole trays) 2) location/kitchen size.
Popped in today to see what they had and left with the small pistachio chocolate ganache cake. It was so good! It's small but it's very rich. The pistachio filling was really good, especially mixed with the rich ganache shell. I also tried their seasonal biscoff cookie cold brew. I got the drink half sweet and it was perfect. Service was very quick for ordering the pastries and for getting my drink. Parking wasn't too bad and there were a lot of seats indoor and outdoor.
Pumpkin cheesecake and croissant were delicious but I'd pass on getting the opera cake and banana bread. It was dense and needed to be warmed up. The cake combination just wasnt to our liking but if you like coffee flavors cakes with layers , then maybe. However, the coffee taste didnt hit the way a good gooey coffee cake should. It more of a go to croissant bakery. Then seasonal drinks were just fine but the location being right by the airport is convenient for those needing a quick pick me up. Not pictures is the $16 jar of pecan... that was delicious but the price definitely hurt
Finally tried this place and it did not disappoint! My friend and I grabbed a variety of sweet & savory pastries. We got there around 8am on a Sunday and there was line but it wasn't a long wait. We wanted to get there early since we heard that items can sell out by the time they close. The stand outs for me were the Croque Monsieur & their Cruffins! They heated up our Croque Monsieur for us since we wanted to eat it in the cafe. Definitely this had to be shared between me & my friend! It's very hearty, but absolutely delicious! I'd totally get it again! The 2 specialty Cruffins we tried were a Cookies & Cream Cruffin & Blackberry Ricotta Cruffin. Both had a delicious filling and were unlike anything I've never had! They change out their flavors often, which only makes me want to come back and try their other flavors. Note: I was told that they only serve cruffins on the weekends so you have been warned! We also brought back a lot of pastries to try! Like their pistachio croissant & their Guava Cheese croissant which were my friend's favorite! They both have great flavors that you can't find elsewhere! Personally, we both tried their chocolate eclair and it wasn't our cup of tea, so I'd skip it next time for something else. My tip: If you have time, enjoy a pastry or 2 at the cafe itself, especially if it needs to be warmed. It's perfect when it comes out! The cafe seating is limited but there were open tables.
Love their pastries! And I'm glad that they opened a location near the sky harbor airport! This shop was really spacious inside. As soon as you enter, you can already smell the aromas of the pastries. The staff were super friendly. And the pastries were delicate and beautiful. My husband got the quiche and he loved it! My croissant was good. Maybe because it was sitting outside for a while, it didn't feel as airy and flaky as I expected. Also, surprisingly, their coffee was really good! Better than a lot of bakeries in the city.
Had this placed booked marked after the Tik Tok incident that made this place go absolutely viral in the best way possible! Today was the day to experience this spot after taking family to the airport. It's about a 10 minute drive from there. Location on a busy corner and not a lot of parking, so time of arrival can be limited to find a space. We were there just prior to noon, so there were a few parking spots open. You can take your food to go or they have some inside seating and a nice outdoor patio. So many sweet treat! Danishes, dessert's, pastries, cookies breakfast items, sandwiches, fresh baked breads, and so much more. The time, passion, & energy is what makes this place incredible. The croissants are so flaky and exactly like what you would find in Europe & France. It is nothing like the breads baked we usually find here. Better imported ingredients make for better quality products. They have different flavors which can range from plain to filled with various flavors. A stand out to try next time is their pistachio. We got the homemade chicken salad- delicious. The Croque Monsieur sandwich was rich, salty, savory & devine. Definitely perfect for two to share. They will toast it upon request. Highly recommend. Drinks-Biscoff Cookie Cold Brew & The Hawaiian Latte. My cold brew was decent. My daughter thought the latte was the BEST she's had yet in AZ! Missed out on the famous viral cruffin' The cinnamon is the one I want to get a hold off. My daughter was bummed they were sold out of the earl grey macaron. Those are her favorite cookie ever! Little pricey IMO; but again paying for ALL that I had mentioned above. (see receipt in pics) *Early mornings when they first open is the best selections, yet there's gonna be a wait. Good thing is; the menu is constantly rotating so there's always something to look forward to experiencing!
Finally found time to check out this viral bakery/cafe and it did not disappoint! I came by on a Thursday morning around 845a and there was no wait/line. The people working were all very friendly. The parking lot is kind of small, but since it was slow I was able to find a spot. There was indoor and outdoor seating + an area with merch and grab/go drinks to purchase! Everything was very clean and bright too. I decided to try the chocolate pistachio croissant and one of the seasonal drinks called the Biscoff cookie cold brew which they turned into a latte for me. Both items were incredible!!! I can't wait to come back and try something else.
First time visiting this location, line wasn't too bad and we were in and out. Staff was great & we got to see the lovely Jenna! My favorite thing to order here has to be the Cruffins & croissants. Never had a cruffin until JL patisserie and now im addicted. They have indoor and outdoor seating & bathrooms were clean. This location is def more spacious than the Scottsdale one.
Great experience I would go back 100 times. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we got there just in time to beat the crowds. The honey-glazed croissant is to die for. The egg salad was on point (not many places can pull that off confidently, but they definitely do), and the lemon pastry was so good. Everything we tried was excellent. Highly recommend. This is a place to stop if you are visiting AZ
Bought some yummy treats here yesterday and I am so glad I finally made it in. Stopped by around noon so of course they were out of many pastries. We purchased four pastries and also ordered an iced blueberry chai latte. For pastries we ordered: One cinnamon roll One valentines special pastry Two butter croissants The pastries were all delicious and they were definitely freshly baked. The butter croissants were flakey and buttery. The cinnamon roll was soft and not too sweet. The iced chai was great. The inside was clean. Tables inside and out. Total spent: $42
On a beautiful Saturday morning, my son and I chose this bakery for our "mother-son date" location! Beautiful place, beautiful people, delicious pastries! Everything we chose was 10/10. Would love to visit more often.
I would highly recommend JL patisserie if you are looking to indulge and treat yourself. My friend and I stopped by after the brunch rush and enjoyed a ham & cheese croissant. They offer to heat it up for you too. I loved the flaky crust and the delicious filling. I also got a Hawaiian latte which was all I could've dreamed it to be. I love the little dehydrated pineapple too as a garnish - too cute. There's a few tables inside which we opted for since it was warm outside. You order at a counter than wait for your coffee at another counter. It was overall pretty quick and we accidentally stayed until they closed because we were catching up. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I'm officially obsessed with JL Patisserie! I find myself coming back about every two weeks, and honestly, these pastries are worth every penny. The craftsmanship, creative flavor combinations, and sheer deliciousness make this place such a treat. This visit, we tried the Breakfast Pork Sausage Pain Suisse, and OH MY GOODNESS--this was the star of the show! A buttery, flaky croissant layered with JL's signature maple pork sausage patty, cheddar cheese, spicy aioli, and caramelized onions. The sweet maple, savory sausage, creamy cheese, and little kick from the aioli came together in the most incredible way. The flavors were absolutely out of this world! This is officially a new favorite, and I'm already thinking about my next one. We also indulged in the Pumpkin Chocolate Croissant, which was such a lovely seasonal treat, and the Banana Dulce de Leche Kouign-Amann. The latter was pure pastry magic, with banana pastry cream, a dulce de leche filling, banana mascarpone, and a delicate banana chip on top. The combination of banana and rich caramel sweetness was simply divine! Of course, I had to pair everything with a coffee, and it was delicious as well. Customer service was good, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. JL Patisserie is one of those places that reminds you why a well-crafted pastry is worth splurging on. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or a savory breakfast pastry with a gourmet twist, they know how to deliver. Every visit leaves me wanting to try something new, and my only real problem is deciding what to order! Worth the splurge, worth the repeat visits, and absolutely dangerous for anyone with a sweet tooth. Consider me a regular! read more

This was my first time here and I'm impressed. The pastries looked so good and the prices were very reasonable. I ended up getting the cinnamon roll and the pecan sticky bun and they were both spectacular! The cinnamon roll was one of the best I've had and I didn't even heat it up. The portions are also pretty large as I shared my 2 items with 4 people and we still didn't finish them. Service was great. They were nice about letting us take as much time as we needed to browse and once we were ready, it was really quick service. After you get your pastries boxed up, you can order a drink at the register. I just like black coffee and got a plain Brazilian cold brew which tasted like any other place but was still good. There's seating inside and outside. It wasn't too busy when I went on a Saturday around 12p. There were definitely plenty of seats left indoors and outdoors. read more

This was my second time visiting JL Patisserie, and they never disappoint! The line is always out the door, which says everything you need to know about how amazing their pastries are. Even though the line was long right when they opened, it moved surprisingly fast. Everything smells so fresh when you walk in. I went specifically for the Ube Cheesecake Cruffin and the Mango Coconut Rice Pudding Danish and both were absolutely worth the wait. The pastries are fresh, beautifully made, and packed with flavor. If you're in the area, JL Patisserie is definitely a spot you don't want to miss! read more

Tried the Phx location closer to closing time. No line however there were limited selections. Picked up a butter croissant, morning bun (cinnamon/cardamon/sugar), and pistachio croissant. Brought my aunt who was out of town and she said "this is the best croissant she's ever had...not like the other doughy croissants she's had in the past". The newest croissant to try was the morning bun. Simple yet airy and crispy. Great with a cup of coffee. The other two I e tried before and they're also very consistent. 10/10! The staff were nice and accommodating. Clean tables. Very open and bigger than the uptown location. I'll be back to try their new items! read more

I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E!! Just as good as the pastries back in Europe! We came In on Saturday morning about 8:45am and there was a pretty good line going. As you make your way inside, you can see the bakery is pretty big! Not many seating options however. In their refrigerated section, you'll see a selection of soups, sandwiches and side option available in togo packaging. Some options include chicken curry, potato salad, croque monsieur and beef bourgenion soup just to name a few. The line moved fairly quickly and there was SO MUCH goodness to choose from. Eclairs, mini pies, tartes, pastries of all kinds, and everything looked so incredibly delicious. We ended up with a fresh baguette, pistachio croissant, butter croissant, cruffin, and pain au chocolat. Literally every single bite had a buttery, soft yet slight crunch in EVERY.SINGLE.BITE. My pistachio croissant was to die for and I wish I had another one. We really wanted to try the coffee, but there was a long wait and we didn't want to stand around anymore. Everything tastes as good as it looks. Highly recommend! read more
Sunday November 9, 2025 The chocolate strawberry sesame muffin croissant was a transcendent bite. So messy, so worth it. Service was very friendly at the counter. Arrived a couple minutes before 9 AM. Parking lot very small and limited. Approximately 10 people in front of me outside at my arrival time. By the time I ordered at 0920- approximately 20 were lined up outside. Line moved reasonably quick and it shouldn't deter you. read more
This place is absolutely worth the hype! If a trip to Paris for fresh pastries is on your bucket list but your wallet says "maybe someday," this spot delivers that same joy--no passport required. We stopped in on Thanksgiving morning, and the owners themselves were behind the counter. Talk about people who pour their heart into their business. Love to see it. The Line: We arrived around 10 AM. About 15 people ahead of us, but the line moved fast--we waited only a few minutes. Easy, breezy. Service: Warm smiles, super friendly vibes, and a case full of treats that made it impossible to choose just one. The Treats: We grabbed a Chocolate Pistachio Croissant, a berry Cruffin, a coffee éclair, and a breakfast bacon sandwich with a "magic sauce" that was TO DIE FOR. Everything was delicious--the Cruffin was rich, but the Chocolate Pistachio Croissant stole the show for me. My husband said the sandwich was the best he's ever had. We enjoyed our coffees outside and just soaked it in. The whole experience was genuinely lovely. This is the perfect weekend-morning spot or a great place to bring out-of-town guests. I also have to say--maybe it was the holiday spirit--but I felt so much warmth when we walked in. It really made the visit special. PRO TIP: Buy what you'll eat that day. I tried saving some for later, but the pastries just aren't the same the next morning. Fresh is 100% the way to go. read more
JL Patisserie is the real deal when it comes to authentic French pastry. The chef was classically trained in Paris and it shows. Every item we tried, from the croissants to the eclair, was fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. We went through the line at the display case and picked up our pastries to go, but there's also café seating where you can enjoy your coffee and treats on-site. The vibe makes it easy to imagine you're at a café in Paris. So if you're looking for genuine French pastry in Phoenix, this is the place to go. read more
I was so excited to finally try this place because I seen all the buzz online! The ambiance is nice and clean inside. Service is nice and moving as quick as they can. There's definitely a line and it moves a bit slow but nothing on the business. My favorite was the Dubai chocolate cruffle!! The pistachio filling was divine. A bit on the pricier side because of the quality and how long it takes to make them of course. Definitely worth trying plus the pastries are huge! This place takes me back to being in France and I'll be back to try more items. read more

I'm so excited to be able to write this review. After all the online buzz that made this place a viral sensation, and the coveted 10/10 rating by Keith Lee, I needed to experience it for myself. The order: my MO was to get the black sesame strawberry cruffin. My partner-in-food also got us a chocolate pistachio croissant, almond croissant, and a cinnamon roll. Additionally, we opted for coffee. I chose an iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk. I want to start with the coffee. I moved to Phoenix 2.5 years ago from WA. I promptly realized WA had made me a coffee snob. I've been trying to find coffee made like my favorite shops back home to no avail. I took one sip of this coffee and was overcome with nostalgia. This is the best iced coffee beverage I've had in the valley. I don't know who their roaster is, but I need to know STAT. The flavor of the coffee itself is unbelievable. The drink was definitely on the sweeter side, so if that's not your thing, I wouldn't suggest the PSL. I, for one, enjoy a sweet coffee. It was right up my alley. I'll be dreaming about that drink until I have it again. Now, let's focus on the food. The black sesame strawberry cruffin was everything I wanted it to be and more. This pastry has everything. The outside texture is so flakey and firm, while the filling is creamy and jammy. The black sesame flavor is so unique. I wouldn't describe it as savory, but it's definitely not a heavily sweetened bread. The sesame flavor is forward and delicious. That paired with the more sweet filling is a perfectly balanced bite. Sometimes when eating sweets, I feel like I'm done after a couple bites because it's too rich. I ate half of this pastry and enjoyed the last bite as much as the first. I tried bites of both the pistachio chocolate and almond croissants. To my surprise, I enjoyed the almond more. It was so buttery and the nutty flavor of the almond was decadent. I almost wish the pistachio hadn't had chocolate in it, but that had everything to do with my personal preference. It was delicious as well, especially if you're a chocolate lover. I admit that I was TikTok influenced to try this spot. I saw the viral post and set my alarm for the next morning to be there when this adorable bakery opened. I'm from DC so add that to my commitment (3-hour time difference!). We arrived at 7:07am and there was already a formidable line. For good reason!!! The bakery is classy and simple. The service is so friendly and approachable. And the pastries? So. Incredibly. Tasty. We tried so much - the quiche, the apricot almond scone, the chocolate pistachio croissant, and the viral Black Sesame Strawberry cruffin. All so so good. We ate every crumb. Took home some macarons so not sure how amazing they are but I'm willing to bet they are top tier. If I lived here I would be a regular. I'm already wondering if I can go again tomorrow before the airport, lol. read more

Believe the hype. Everything is amazing- Definitely try the Pistachio Pain, the Opera cake and take a Baguette for Sandwiches home. And then come back and try more. The employee are super friendly and even if it's busy the line is fast. read more
Absolutely gobsmacked by how decadent the pastries my fiancé and I tried. We ordered an almond croissant and cinnamon roll cruffin, alongside 2 lattes; salted maple + vanilla. The almond croissant was delicious and so beautiful. I truly have no words. The frangipane melts in your mouth and the croissant was light and airy. It was just the right amount of sweet. The cinnamon roll cruffin was also perfectly baked, and the filling was delicious, although a bit too sweet for me. Both coffees were good, but the salted maple was better and more espresso forward than the flavoring- which I appreciated! It offset the pastries nicely. We were able to sit outside and enjoy some of the gloomy July weather, making for a lovely Sunday morning date. My only qualm was the ordering system, as there was a group in front of us and we were unable to view the entire pastry case before ordering. I would suggest they move the line back a bit from the case as to allow all patrons to see what they have to show. Overall I was very pleased with JL Patisserie and I look forward to my next visit. read more

Discovered this place through TikTok, and wow the pastries did not disappoint! My absolute favorite was the almond croissant. I went around 1p.m., so a lot of the pastries were already sold out. Sadly, the chocolate pistachio croissants were gone by the time I ordered, but that just gives me a reason to come back earlier next time! Even though the line was long, it moved pretty quickly. They offer a wide variety of pastries, and I definitely recommend those over the drinks. The cinnamon dulce de leche macchiato was better than the apple chai latte, but honestly, the pastries are the real stars here. The almond croissant was to die for. I got it heated up, and it was absolutely delicious. I loved every bite and even debated getting back in line for seconds. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, so finding a table wasn't an issue. There's also parking available right outside and they take card, which is super convenient. Can't wait to come back and finally try that chocolate pistachio croissant! read more

The only disappointment I have with this place is that it's almost an hour away from me. :(( I've seen this place all over my instagram and tiktok and have been dying to come check it out!! Finally after hiking south mountain I was able to stop by! There was SO many choices to pick from it was so hard to decide as everything looked amazing!! I ended up getting a pistachio chocolate croissant, billionaire bacon croissant, and a blueberry lemon coconut danish and WOW they were all so amazing I cannot pick a favorite. The croissant had the perfect crisp flaky layers with a soft and airy mix to it. The fillings were even better! I obviously couldn't finish all the pastries so I brought the rest home and had bites of them for the next 2-3 days... They still tasted amazing!! Less crunch of course but perfectly soft and sweet. read more
I've been meaning to visit this location since nce they opened, and now that I finally have, I'm hooked. The space is beautiful, clean, open, and thoughtfully designed. It feels like a breath of fresh air every time I walk in. My absolute favorite item is the Individual Babka (chocolate, of course). It's rich, perfectly layered, and just the right amount of indulgent. I keep telling myself I'll try something new, but the Babka always wins. There's so much more on the menu I want to explore, and with how welcoming the atmosphere is, I know I'll be back again (and again). Line out the door at 8 am, but it moved fast. The counter is a feast for the eyes while you wait, beautiful sweet and savory pastries. We had the cold brew coffee with our croissants and it was nutty and delicious. Tried 3 different croissants, all buttery and flaky with that slightly sweet, slightly crunchy last bite. Chef's kiss! Delicious pastries! I tried their valentines pastry and it had a raspberry filling and brownie inside. It was very good! The cinnamon roll was also delicious and it was big enough to share. The blueberry chai was perfectly made and I could really taste the blueberry flavor. Service was great! read more

These Pastries are to die for! Heard about them for a while on social media and decided to make the drive over and see what it's all about. I was certainly not disappointed! We sampled a few items shown below including a Ferrero Rocher Cruffin, blueberry lavender danish, steak cruffin, and spinach and feta roll. Each item was so tasty. My favorite was the ferrero rocher one. It was one of the best pastries I have ever had in my life. They really know how to make a top tier filling. I could talk about this place for hours but I suggest you go try their stuff for yourself! You will not be disappointed with anything you get. read more
I stopped by JL recently prior to flying back across the country. I heard about it from Keith Lee and read great reviews. They have everything. I was tempered to try everything but I had to restrain myself. I ended up getting the chocolate chip cookie and the Turkey Cheddar Cheese and Brie sandwich. FANTASTIC. The sandwich was delicious and smooth. The cookie was top 5 best cookies I've had in a while. This will be the first place I go back to when I go to Phoenix. Their staff were cheerful, informative and patient. I end up eating outside since it was so beautiful. read more
So worth the drive and the early wake up call! Staff is lovely and sweet. Pastries and desserts are incredibly yummy. It is a bit pricey but the items are big but just be ready to splurge. Very clean inside and tables inside and outside to enjoy your food! read more

Nothing beats being welcomed with a nice friendly smile. The people working all were so happy and friendly. Wow! Amazing pastries and equally great coffee in one place. This is one of the best chocolate croissant I have had. Perfectly messy and melty gooey as it should be. Delicate flaky layers not dry and brittle like a lot of places. The quiche Lorraine was just as delicious. Pillowy custard with just the right amount of bacon on a delicate buttery crust. Cappuccino was spot on! Perfect amount of foam. Well done JL crew! Definitely will be back when visiting AZ. read more
