I wanted to address it when I was in the store this past week, but when it feels like an unapproachable environment it makes it a little uneasy. Well this is my second time eating something from the bakery and I was hoping I just had a one off experience. I did pick up a too good to go from the bakery a couple months back and it was 2 cake cups and decorate your own cookie - both of the 2 cake cups made me sick, I know things for TGTG can be close to date so that's what I thought - both items were very buttery, and tasted like the sugar was forgotten. I tried to call the bakery 3 times and wasn't able to get through to anyone. I decided to back and give something else a try.. I will say both times I haven't experienced a friendly bakery, lots of people little acknowledgement - even further this time after the baker helped me get my item, the baker then had someone check her out to buy something, idk just odd(ik it's allowed but it was just weird) after that she rang me up - so I did have the same experience taste wise, lacking flavor and I no notes of sweetness(I don't even have a sweet tooth lol) I'm not sure if this is just 2 off experiences or what, but I just wanted to leave this review here. read more

I've been wanting to try this bakery after seeing it on the too good to go app. I went today because I finally got a bag, and was so excited to see the inside. There's no place to sit inside, but there are two nice parking spaces out in the front since it's a busy parking lot by a gym. They have several cases of sweet options, cakes that you can customize on the spot, and pastries that are topped fresh to order. They also have so many cake pop flavors. I didn't even know how to decide! The owner, Melissa, was so sweet to me! I asked her questions about the business, and what they do for catering. I love supporting local businesses, especially bakeries because I'm a baker myself. I talked to her about customizing an order for my place of employment in the next couple of months and she was totally on board to customize it how I wanted. Aside for my too good bag, I ended up buying an ube cake pop and a Boston cream tart, and both are out of this world! Our local bakery closed down last year, and we had been looking for a new place to get cakes for special occasions. I found Silver Rose on a web search, and it was easy to design and order a cake online. The cake was ready on time for pickup, and I was impressed with the gluten free selections that were readily available in the shop. I got one funfetti and one apple cinnamon gluten free cream puff which were absolutely delish! I got regular cookies and cream puffs for the rest of the family, and they were freshly filled while I waited. The service was great! I was on the hunt for a bakery that makes custom cookies, and I'm so glad I found Silver Rose! I went into the bakery in person to place my order so I could better explain what I was looking for, and the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful in making sure everything was just right. I was really happy with the service. They also offer baked goods and cake pops for purchase in store. The bakery itself is very nice and clean, with an open kitchen and workspace where you can watch the decorators at work. The cookies were some of the best I've ever had. I've ordered custom cookies before that were a bit hard, but these were so soft and absolutely beautiful. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. I also thought my cake turned out super cute. If I had to nitpick, I wish the 30 had been in a slightly bolder font like my photo reference, but overall they did a great job. The cake was also quite large and heavy. I believe I ordered the 10 inch, and it was very tall. The picture honestly doesn't do it justice. We had an extremely disappointing experience with Silver Rose Bakery while trying to choose our wedding cake. From the beginning, we felt pressured to put down a deposit before we were comfortable moving forward. We paid $50 for an initial cake tasting, and when we requested a lavender cake flavor that wasn't on their menu, they wanted to charge us an additional fee just to try it, despite us considering a $2,500 wedding cake. We were told that if we put down a deposit, the lavender cake tasting would be complimentary. However, when we picked up what we thought would be a cake, we received a deconstructed sample with the cake wrapped in cellophane and the frosting and filling packaged separately. None of this was communicated to us beforehand. They later claimed we could have received a fully assembled cake if we had paid extra, but that option was never offered or explained. What was even more disappointing was their response when we expressed our concerns. Rather than acknowledging the miscommunication or trying to resolve the issue, they told us they felt uncomfortable working with us and no longer wanted our business. We were still willing to put down a deposit and move forward, but instead of addressing our concerns, they chose to turn us away. For a bakery charging $2,500 for a wedding cake, we expected professionalism, transparency, and better customer service. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. I would caution other couples to make sure they know exactly what they're paying for before committing to this bakery. On top of it all I had told him I'm gonna leave a review for others to know our experience with them and he said, well I'm gonna flag it anyway. Very carefree about his clients experience. Despite these experiences, we still tried to give Silver Rose Bakery a chance because we wanted to work with them for our special day. However, when we expressed our concerns about the cake, instead of feeling heard and understood, we felt that the conversation became more about defending their work than addressing our concerns. Ultimately, we were told they were uncomfortable working with us, which was both confusing and disappointing. My fiancée and I invested our time, money, and effort into visiting the bakery twice and trying to make this work. To end up feeling disrespected and frustrated, especially after the way my fiancée was spoken to over the phone, was unacceptable to us. Planning a wedding should be an exciting experience, and choosing a bakery for such an important occasion should not involve this much frustration. I ordered a red velvet cake and they lady was super helpful and kind. The smell of the bakery was delicious so my hopes are even higher that I made the right choice. I picked up the cake on time. I followed all the instructions on leaving the cake at room tempt for 4-6 hours before serving. Their team was not only extremely organized but very communicative with us from start to finish. The package that we chose allowed all of our guests to have 2-3 items the night of our wedding. Overall I believe their pricing was extremely fair.
