The Prickly Pear flavor was from Parch Brand Prickly Paloma - full of prickly pear, botanicals and adaptogens. Adaptogens - another four syllable word I may look up. I also got a strawberry pop tart for Thomas and myself. They are delicious. Someone came in from an office, picking up four boxes with one of everything. I have eaten Suss Pastries and Pie three years. Some items are over sweet or over salty. That waa at least two years ago. Food and sit down are on the menu here now. I have not had a meal. read more

Huge fan of Süss! I've been enjoying their chorizo, egg, and cheese pocket since they offered it at Moxie back in the day; now my partner and I get it at their standalone location on 7th Ave. We also love their breakfast sandwich and their sweet treats, but honestly it's that flaky buttery crust I adore so much - they could put anything in that crust and I'd eat it The staff are so so nice, too! Found this spot by accident while eating lunch next door, and it is an absolute must-try! They have a beautiful selection of pastries, including tons of gluten-free options that actually taste amazing you would never know they're gluten free. I tried the GF sweet potato loaf and honestly could have eaten ten of them. So good. Jasmine, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming and genuinely expressed gratitude for us trying her shop, which made the experience even more special. This place has the best scones ever! My favorites are the raspberry jalapeño and the chorizo. Today I got the blueberry, rosemary, and pecan scone and the cinnamon roll - both were very good but the scone blew me away. I like that the cinnamon roll isn't too sweet. Everyone is always super nice and helpful. Today I thought they were out of scones but they offered me a day old scone for a dollar off. The scone was great warmed up and we didn't even notice that it was a day old. Love to see them expanding. read more

I've tried their pockets ("pop tarts") at other cafes and when I saw them pop up in the Too Good To Go app, I knew I had to snag a bag. I stopped by one weekday morning around 8am. 7th ave and 7th st get confusing with the reverse middle lane and no left turns at certain times. With that being said, I made it here okay and parked in front of their storefront. They share an entrance with a restaurant and they are on the right when you enter. The staff member gave me my box when I showed her my order and I peeked inside before I left. I got 4 pockets: 2 date brown sugar, 1 strawberry hibiscus, 1 blueberry lime. I was excited to get these! I tried them when I got home and really enjoyed the blueberry and strawberry ones. The date one was nice but too sweet for me, I prefer the sour flavors. A while ago my friend and I were at Window Coffee Bar and tried the blueberry lime "pocket" there. It was one of the best pop tarts I've ever had, and we learned that it came from Suss Pastries. We finally made it to the bakery today (09/06/2025). It is located inside of Corner On the Market right next to Hatch It Green Chile Burgers & Tacos. It smelled so good as soon as we walked in, both from Hatch It and the bakery. Suss offers both sweet and savory options. We were just there for the sweets. They had three pocket flavors - Blueberry Lime, Raspberry Prickly Pear, and Date Brown Sugar. Blueberry and Raspberry were also available as vegan and gluten-free. We got a raspberry pocket, a date pocket, and a Brown Butter Cinnamon Roll! You can also ask for it to be warmed up, but the roll was still a bit warm anyway. The nutty aroma & taste from the brown butter really took the cinnamon roll to another level. The raspberry prickly pear pocket was really good too and a little tart. The date brown sugar pocket was good, but not something I'd order again. I'm sticking with the berry flavors. On the bakery side, there are a few stools at a countertop where you can sit and enjoy your pastries. There are a few tables on the Hatch It side as well. Connected to that is a market, but we didn't explore much - got too distracted by the delicious sweet treats! read more

The pastries are incredible at this place! If you go please try the poptarts every flavor I've tried I LOVE! Even the vegan ones are incredible which is not an easy thing to achieve. I've had their pastries at a few of the local coffee shops around Phoenix and I'm so excited to have found where they're made. I rolled up early on a Saturday morning blabbering to the owner and she was just so sweet lol I got a prickly pear raspberry fruit pocket, date & brown sugar pocket, corn sugar cookie, guava linter cookie, and the chocolate cake with horchata mousse and espresso frosting. This bakery is an absolute gem. The outside seems unassuming, but what Chef Jasmin and her team create are an absolute dream. Her pockets are delicious, the pastry dough is made from scratch and so are her fillings. My favorite is her chorizo pocket. I buy them and keep them cold to reheat the next day. Pro tip, they microwave extremely well. Her pastry dough is that good, that the quality does not decline after nuking them. Her cookies are fantastic, if you love sugar cookies try the corn sugar cookie. It will change your world. The weekly specials allow me to buy an extra sweet treat just to try and they are always worth it. If she ever has one of her cupcakes on it is a must try!!! I tried my first fruit pocket from Suss Pastries at a Yelp event at Window Coffee Bar. It was a large blueberry lime fruit pocket bursting with blueberry marmalade and topped with white frosting that had a subtle lime flavor and some lime rind. It was so delicious! I was downtown today and we didn't have any sweets at home, so I decided to stop by the actual bakery and pick up some treats. The pastry shop is located inside Corner On The Market, a spot with a very nice seating area including booths and tables with high back soft dining chairs, an area to order wood-fired pizzas, a bread bakery and a full cafe. There are refrigerated wall doors with beer and alcohol and refrigerated cases with food to-go items. There is a restroom as well. This market is attached to a highly rated Hatch Chile burger and taco spot, Hatch-It. Some Chocolate chip cookies had just come out of the oven before I walked in and I asked if I could have six of those. I also ordered one of each of the fruit pockets available: Blueberry Lime, Date Brown Sugar, Raspberry Prickly Pear, and Peach Honey. My daughter just tried the Raspberry Prickly Pear Fruit Pocket and said it was very good. Hubs, who is a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, just tried a cookie and was nodding while he chewed. I was blown away by this Bakeshop. I needed a last minute cake and had been wanting to try this bakery but saw they were closed. I decided to reach out anyway on a Saturday afternoon for cake on a Monday. They were able to accommodate this and she even helped me pick out the flavor, was responsive and accommodating. The cake I went with I probably wouldn't have chosen (but it was for someone else) chocolate tres leches. It's not at all the soaked cake I was imagining... and I was super pleasantly surprised. I'm not a big chocolate fan and it wasn't overwhelming, was the perfect balance and they layer filling was more like a "3 milk" caramel--amazing. Also not overly sugary sweet. Topped with a vanilla buttercream and chocolate ganache. I had the cake cold and at room temp, both were perfect. My friend loved her birthday cake and how beautiful it was. I'm so thankful they could accommodate last minute. As I showed up, the store front was actually closed on Monday and they still made it happen. I couldn't be more impressed.
