Saw a TikTok review of the bakery - I happened to be in the area so ventured over. So glad I did - ah-mazing dessert items - picked up caramel banana pudding , strawberry & lemon cheesecake, caramel brookie, and snickerdoodle cookie. Thankfully, this fantastic bakery isn't super close, I'd be indulging a lot more! I will def make the trek on a regular cause it's that good. Yes, go to Honey Bunnies lol HONEYBUTTER!!! The inside is family friendly. Nice place for friend/kid play dates with sugar snacks. I love the Cheesecake Biscotti cupcake but alas it's not a cupcake it's an individual cheesecake. OMG-it tasted as if dropped out of heaven. Seriously amazing, drove home to Queen Creek to enjoy snacks to go with my slice of serenity. Yes, Service was great. I'm not the city girl & I had hard time finding it this gem. Stuffed my face before I even took a picture of any of the goodies I got. Overall the desserts are really good! I enjoyed most of the items I got for me and my family. The star of the show were the cheesecakes. The biggest disappointment was the peach cobbler pound cake. Here is the full rating of all the items we tried. Lemon pound cake: 7/10, probably the best flavor of the pound cakes. Lemon icing on top was delicious and really added value to the cake. Peach cobbler pound cake: 5/10, overall we were disappointed with this one. Cobbler on top of cake wasn't very good and cake was very dry. Sock it to me pound cake: 6/10, good but nothing special. Banana pudding cheesecake: 10/10, very tasty and a crowd favorite. Strawberry cheesecake: 8/10, delicious! Pecan Carmel cheesecake: 10/10, amazing my favorite dessert that we got. Toffee cookie: 10/10, gooey and soft. Blueberry white chocolate macadamia nut cookie: 10/10, very good!! Turtle brownie: 10/10, very rich and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or tall glass of milk. Overall I would recommend the cheesecake and cookies. We didn't get any cupcakes but they looked good. The pound cake I would skip. All of the cakes were dry and honestly tasted like cake mix instead of homemade. Still good but I wasn't blown away. The only things keeping this from being a 5 star review: limited hours,limited stock, limited parking. This black owned bakery is in a very small strip mall. Open only Thursday-Saturday. They're very good about posting on social media when they have low stock for the day. It's extremely rare that they do not sell out prior to their scheduled closing time. They do allow people to buy large quantities without pre-ordering. I've seen many a times that people leave with bags full of treats. Be prepared to stand in line:inside and outside prior to ordering. The service is great once it's your turn to order. They'll answer any questions you have regarding what's in the case and what you don't see in the case. They do have a few tables to eat inside as well as a small kids corner. The items are obviously great. They do rotate items weekly, specials. They also have a few regulars that they have available every week. Hunnie Butter is a black owned small business that has entered the game and is doing it BIG! They should be very proud with what they provide to the community and I am happy to see them thriving and have a strong support of loyal customers. The variety of desserts you can find at this shop is limited to cakes, pound cakes, puddings, cupcakes, and cookies. They offer pop up or seasonal desserts like pies during the holidays. Overall the quality and taste of desserts is what creates a loyal fan base for them. They are consistent and offer great tasting options when you have a sweet tooth. My only con is the wait times and limited supply. They do a good job trying to keep their customers up to date with their inventory via IG stories but if you come anytime after 30 mins of opening you start to really get limited options as it is first come first serve basis and most of the times that I go people tend to stock up. I also know that the owner has vocalized that this a husband and wife team and that's how they will continue to do business but I really think getting an extra person hands on to help with getting the line through quicker can really be beneficial but that's just my two cents. Overall this is a great shop. If you're able to make it down it is definitely worth it, just very big advice to get there right at opening if you have your eye on something specifically. P.S. Every week they have a few specialty items and they also have a few core items that are always there. They keep their instagram updated with the menu of the week. Great desserts! Be sure to come early because they sell out after a couple hours. I came at 12:30pm on a Thursday and was there for about 30 min due to there being a line outside (and it opened at 11am). They sold out by 1:30pm so be sure to check their instagram for updates. My faves were the key lime pie and banana pudding cheesecake. The taste and texture were perfect, the key lime was the right amount of tart without being sour. Also tried the strawberry cheesecake, carrot cake, and chocolate chip cookie. I'm not usually a fan of carrot cake but I thought theirs was good. The cookie was yummy but just a little underbaked for me. Total about $35 for those 5 items. I liked that everything comes in slices or cupcakes so you can taste a few things all at once. One of the owners was also nice enough to explain what all of the desserts in the display were. I would definitely come here again. Banana pudding: how revolutionary could it be? Well let me tell you, Hunnie Butter makes a life changing banana pudding. I hesitate to say anything is the best ever, but this is the easily best banana pudding I've ever had. I've had legendary Magnolia banana pudding as well as many others and I have to say Hunnie Butter's pudding is leaps and bounds better than all the rest. There are flecks of vanilla beans throughout and it's such a rich, yet somehow light flavor. It's simply outstanding. 100/100. I also tried their peach cobbler cookie, also amazing, especially if you love peach cobbler and creative additions to snickerdoodles. Got a toffee cookie too, it was so decadent. Cookies are MASSIVE, by the way and can easily be shared by two or more people. I got a slice of lemon pound cake and red velvet layer cake for my husband and tasted both - I don't know how Mrs. Hunnie Butter makes her cakes so moist and tender but they're unlike any other cake I've ever had. The lemon cake was punchy and tart yet had that delicious sweet glaze, while the red velvet cake was rich and moist and the cream cheese frosting was bright and almost lemony? It helped keep it tasting light which was a really nice surprise. I also got a cupcake (the seasonal Lil Debbie - like a little Debbie Christmas tree cake!) and a strawberry cheesecake for my kids to split but we haven't tried them yet. They look incredible though! All in all, everything I tried was super high quality and tasted absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic too and definitely worth waiting for. Keep in mind this is a small business run by a very talented wife and husband and it is NOT fast food. Yes, I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes or so, but it was all very much worth it, especially to enjoy these baked goodies but to support this wonderful family too. read more

Well not just a Bakery... a delightful space and yummy treats!! We were greeted with a wonderful hello and offered samples!! The lovely lady explained everything available in the case and the different slices of cake. Where do we start??? I was really excited to stop in and check out Hunnie Butter! This is a husband and wife owned business and they make everything from scratch. The wife was baking away and the husband was running the front of the house. He patiently went through ALL of their items in the case to explain what each was. I got 2 cupcakes and 3 different pound cakes, pineapple coconut, sock it to me and a peach cobbler. All were really great but my favorite was the pineapple coconut! Great ambiance. The bakery was clean. I was greeted upon entry. The gentleman at the counter took the time to explain each available flavor of pastry. I got the slice of carrot cake. It tasted fresh and was moist! Reasonable price, as well! My only complaint was that it had way too much icing and it didn't even need it! The cake was good by itself and needed no masking! Such a little gem! They opened up at the end of last year, and I only heard about it till now due to an Instagram post from a local AZ foodie. This little bakery is not only super adorable, well priced, and well kept, but the owners, husband and wife, are incredibly nice (follow their instagram, they post lots of reels of the daily bakery life and menu selections). I can't wait to come back. They make their banana pudding cups ($7-8 for a huge cup size!) to order and you can either get it with or without their homemade caramel size. In my opinion, just splurge! Get it with the caramel and you won't regret it! In addition tot he pudding, I also tried a slice of their peach cobbler pound cake. If you take this to go, make sure to zap it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Nothing better than a nice warm slice of pound cake soaking up all that drizzle layered on top. I think we have gone a handful of times now where I've tried a fair share of items off of the menu. The only thing we def have not tried yet are the cookies(i bake too many cookies at home so i usually never order cookies unless i know i can't make it because of ingredients i don't have...ie black cocoa) and the peach cobbler. Every time we have been in there's always a line. It moves fast! When i hear people talk about the vibe/sass etc you can tell they have never worked a day in customer service with high demand etc. When it's as busy as they are I dont expect sunshine and daisies coming everywhere. It's stressful!! Esp when you have snarky people in the reviews talking about how they are upset they missed out on something. There's a saying that goes : "Early Bird Gets The Worm" I always tell my husband if I'm not there first thing for anything I'm not going! It's not worth it if i can't have close to first selection! Unless you are okay with whatever's left! I mean i know id be happy with anything but if you really want a special get there EARLY! I sent my husband after work(he works graveyard shifts) and he's not a big sweets guy but way easier for him to stop then me having to lug our two crazy little tiny kids 35+ min for treats. So if i am ever in the area i will def stop because it's so worth it. There has never been one item i didn't enjoy. Parking is insanely limited so another reason to get there EARLY EARLY EARLY! I found out about them on Instagram and finally tried them out today (: The owner is very good about updating on what she has available and new things she puts out each week on Insta! We tried the carrot cake, pineapple coconut cake, strawberry cheesecake cupcake, and the strawberry banana pudding. All were exceptional! The textures on the strawberry cheesecake were so good, which set it apart for me. The crunchy crust and crunchies on top were so good. (: My boyfriend said that the banana pudding was the BEST he's ever had. (Please excuse the bites taken out of the pudding. I tried to snap a pic beforehand but he was too excited. Rightfully so, it was bomb!) The pineapple coconut is a flavor they said they wouldn't have next week, so they encouraged us to try it! So glad we did. Not a flavor I would think to try first, but man. If they have it, don't miss out!! (: The coconut is finely shaved (more so than what I'm used to which made for a nice texture!) and the icing went crazy. Carrot cake was super moist but not overly heavy. The crumb of each cake is the perfect consistency. I don't even like carrot cake, but this one changed my mind. Flavor and texture were fantastic. Service was impeccable. My husband loves pound cake so I was trying to get ahead of his June birthday and have him sample some of the slices at Hunnie Butter. I like that you can buy just one slice rather than drop $70 on a whole cake. You can tell the place is popular as there were already about seven people in line in the small shop when I arrived. The woman who runs the register is unwaveringly friendly and helpful. (I think I spoke to her on the phone as well.) I'm guessing she must be one of the owners. Such a nice, nice person, We tried the 7-Up, Peach Cobbler, and Lemon Blueberry pound cakes and would rank them in that order - favorite to least favorite. All were made well, just personal preference. I'm not sure we will drive 30 minutes from home to purchase a whole 7-Up cake (original plan) but because of the wonderful service and care put into their baking, if you live in the area you should check them out. read more
