I ordered a custom cake for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were trying to replicate our wedding cake and CC's nailed it! The cake was beautifully decorated and more importantly delicious! The vanilla buttercream frosting and champagne sponge was amazing but I was most impressed with the strawberry mousse filling, it had bits of strawberries in it and you could tell it was freshly handmade. Ordering was easy and I was able to handle the whole process by text, the owner was quick and extremely responsive and efficient. My cake was ready for pick up right on time and she even confirmed with me the day before. And it cost me $356.72 !!! It was for my wedding so I didn't mind to pay for my special day but very overpriced two tier cake but In addition being charged an extra $20 for the cake topperTOO LOL (should have been FREE) and learn same cake topper cheaper online because Cheryl at end was FORGETTING things and made mistakes to add my fiancé's picture of "he and I" as she apologized saying she knew she was forgetting something but offered to deliver edible picture to my home which is very close-by her store but although cake looked beautifully decorated on outside it was horribly dry tasting in the inside not delicious and very much overpriced at $356.72 !!! The cake I received was technically what I asked for, but done with the least amount of artistry and effort possible. I asked for blue roses, rainbows and gold flourishes/lacing and all of those elements were present? But the flowers were obviously mold made rather than made of icing and the gold lace flourishes were sloppy and lacked any flourish at all. The letters were very small and all of the decorations were made with fondant, and I really just expected that someone with so many cakes on her website and so much experience making cakes would bring some artistry and passion to the craft. The decorative icing around the cake hadn't even been put into a ribbed pipe to add some character to it! we asked for chocolate and raspberry and there was no raspberry flavor at all. I'm disappointed that I put the trust in this business to give me a beautiful cake, because as an artist when I'm given a few major needs and the opportunity to make something beautiful that meets all of the criteria I take it as an exciting opportunity to create something beautiful, not a chance to scrape by meeting the bare minimum requirements for the person's request. I paid 300 dollars for this cake and got a cake that a student would be able to successfully make, not what I'd expect out of a professional cake designer. The lady was so nice and her website had so many beautiful cakes, I really thought that I could trust that she'd make me a beautiful, impressive cake. Instead I got flowers that were popped out of a mold where even the leaves on the flowers were blue, fondant rainbows and a cake that expressed to me that I was an easy 300 dollars. I'm only giving 2 stars because regardless of the cake, my wedding was a wonderful time and the quality did not ruin my ceremony. read more

I wanted to surprise my wife with something special for our 10th Anniversary. I had a knee surgery scheduled for the beginning of June, which would crush our hopes of having a fun anniversary at the end of the month. I wanted to do something special that would be a welcome surprise to my wife and tell her just how much she means to me. My wife was coming home from speaking at a conference out east and I decided to surprise her with a top tier wedding cake that was a complete match to our wedding cake from 10 years earlier. I also found the exact champagne we toasted with as we had our cake at the celebration 10 years earlier. We cut the cake with the same engraved knife we used 10 years ago.
