Went here one morning to finally try it out. When I arrived, there was a line of people. It was shortly after opening time but there were no staff present, the doors were locked, Google didn't indicate they were closed, and no one answered the phone. Fast forward a few days later, I tried again. They were actually open. The little space where you first walk in is so cute! The big menu surrounding the ordering area is a little busy and overwhelming. The staff was nice but mostly preoccupied with tasks. The decor is cute. Anyway, I got the chocoflan latte. It says it's "topped with flan" so I imagine a piece of flan on top. Imagine my surprise when I took a sip of my latte and chunks of flan came up through the straw?! It was very off putting. I pulled my straw up and drank the coffee part of the latte but they should rethink having flan in the bottom of the cup. This is one of the most unique coffee shops I have ever been in! The witch theme is obvious of course, but it's nice to see them support local artists with their paintings on the wall for sale. You can also buy jewelry, incense, and other cute items. I was greeted right away. They have a smaller menu for drinks, but quite a good selection for food. I decided just to get a Medium coffee, which was over $9 before tip. They had rock music playing as I sat down and waited at a table. It was a great vibe! The drink was good, but not amazing. For the price I paid, I could have gotten a large at Dutch Bros or Starbucks (but we love to support local instead). Overall it was a great experience and really cute shop, it was just the quality for price that brought me to four stars. Fun and unique witch themed coffee shop located in Phoenix. I would definitely recommend checking out this coffee shop for the experience, they have gone all out to match their witch theme. Brew-Jas Coffee is officially going on my list of the cutest coffee shops to visit when you want your caffeine fix with a side of personality. The moment we walked in, I was obsessed with the spooky, whimsical decor. Everything felt so thoughtfully put together, and the whole space had that cozy, playful vibe that makes you want to take your time, look around, and of course, take a million pictures. The drink menu had so many fun options that it was genuinely hard to decide what to get. We ended up trying the Rose Quartz and the Horchata Chai, and both were such fun choices. The Rose Quartz was beautiful and refreshing, while the Horchata Chai was everything I wanted from a cozy chai -- creamy, sweet, warmly spiced, and packed with that comforting horchata flavor. It was definitely one of those drinks where I kept taking another sip because I wasn't ready for it to be gone. We also grabbed the ham croissant, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Flaky, buttery pastry with a savory ham filling made it the perfect little pairing with our drinks. LOVE THE THEME! I absolutely love spooky vibes, I even have a black cat! However I wasn't completely satisfied with my visit. It took a long time for someone to take my order, however they did acknowledge me when I got there. The drinks were really sweet and nothing made them stand out compared to other coffee shops. It honestly tasted like something I could make at home. The prices also didn't seem consistent with the menu. One drink rang up correctly, but a latte with added flavor rang up higher than the menu board indicated it should be. I didn't get any food, but someone else there told me the crepes are delicious. I also wasn't a fan of the AI art on the wall of the woman drinking coffee from a mug. Please hire local artists or get something commissioned!!! Pretty cool coffee shop! If you like the spooky witchy stuff you need to check this place out! I came with friends yesterday and we had a great time. I ordered the matcha with strawberry cold foam and I added some vanilla flavoring to it. The matcha was delicious and I could really taste the strawberry which I really liked. I wanted to like this place, I really did despite the AI logo being very off putting for a small local business. But as soon as you enter, you're hit with not one but three different generative AI menus on the side of the bar. I strongly believe that if there is a fake food image representing your real-made food, then it's not genuine because you cannot guarantee I'm getting what I expect from the image (this is also false advertising as a whole). But once you pass that you encounter *another* generated AI image with the Brew-jas name on it across the room, and the same image is duplicated in another frame behind you. There is also one above the fireplace. The service itself was really...slow. There were at least 3 workers that day and the cafe itself wasn't that busy yet it still took maybe 20+ minutes to get our drinks. My friends drink arrived with cold foam on top (not requested because she has a milk allergy). The baristas didn't appear confident when my friend asked if it was a milk-based cold foam, they said "no, it doesn't have milk" but it was really unconvincing especially since consuming any type of milk could take her out for an entire day or two. They also said she had ordered oat milk (she did not, I did) so somehow, during this slow moment of the day, they had they mixed up our orders. Again, this is massively problematic as milk-based products will cause an allergic reaction to my friend. Thankfully, her drink did not have milk in it despite the baristas own confusion about the drink that they had made for her. Which is a problem because again, the baristas should know what is in every syrup, foam, baked good and mixes for anyone with allergies. My own drink had really, really dense syrup (Rose Quartz) that never actually mixed in with the drink, nor was I warned that I should mix if I choose. I don't think I've ever encountered such dense syrup in a coffee before but when it managed to be mixed (after 30 minutes), it made the coffee too sweet (I'm a sweet drink person too but this was too much). It tasted more like a soda rather than a coffee at that point. My drink (Rose Quartz, oatmilk at the smallest size) was $9.26 without tip. I can think of 3 other local businesses in the same area where I can get the same type of drink for $6-$7. I did not purchase any food during this visit so I can't say if they were good or bad but I will add the AI menus from the entry point actually made me not want to buy any food from them because it had looked unappealing. The rest of the decor felt blasé. "Let's raid a Spirit Halloween and make it into a coffee shop." I can think of a handful of different ideas that would have better uplifted the cafe including how to get local artists into the shop rather than have generative AI pictures fill the spaces, welcome you inside and be on the logo. Everything about the cafe really feels like "let's throw something at the wall because it'll stick and people will come no matter what." I don't feel confident that they'll take things in stride to adjust or fix their cafe since it seems the owners are into using LLM AI to write review responses as well. It makes the entire cafe seem disingenuous and in it for profit rather than making a possible community staple where people can feel safe and connect. Using generative AI in art disconnects us from our shared humanity, cuts space for local artists and chooses capitalism over our neighbor. Hire an actual local designer, ask for community feedback on how to better improve the cafe, stop using generative AI for advertisings, menus and social media pushes and stop using LLMs to write responses. read more

I really wanted to like this place, it's a cute local small business with a fun vibe and I was rooting for it. Unfortunately the coffee let us down badly. My husband and I ordered a hot cappuccino and a hot latte, and when they came out they looked completely identical. If you can't tell the difference between the two drinks on your own menu, that's a problem. The espresso had a harsh, burnt taste and was almost undetectable under a mountain of milk. On top of that, both drinks were served scalding hot and burnt my tongue. Some of the worst coffee I've had. Hopefully they invest in some barista training, because the atmosphere has potential. read more

I had high hopes for the new coffee house and was excited to support a new local business in the area, but left with regrets. From all the AI art on the walls, to the flimsy cutlery, to the overpriced menu, this was our first and last visit. The food was mid and overpriced. The staff were amazing. My drink had base of unmelted honey and it was difficult to drink(I ended up throwing it out). Staff had fantastic customer service and menu knowledge-No complaints on the staff at all. Other patrons were enjoying themselves. Good atmosphere & sound volume. The kicker was seeing that they had a cooler stocked with pastries from Costco. Is this what they are using? Pressing a Costco croissant, toasting it, covering it in Nutella and strawberries and charging $7 for it? The pros: plenty of parking, plenty of seating, cute picnic area outside, great staff, lots of menu choices, discount when paying with cash(I.e not passing the Clover POS system charge to cash customers) The cons: cheaply decorated-used AI generated pictures and cheap Halloween decor, too expensive, no cold brew, reselling Costco pastries(?), cutlery that snapped when using, charging the customer to pay with card. My recommendations- hire a local muralist to paint the walls to match the branding aesthetic, get cold brew options, have a QR code to scan the menu while you're waiting in line, revisit the pricing. I encourage all to visit & draw their own conclusions. I hope it gets better for them either with higher quality or lower prices. I sincerely wish them the best of luck. read more

We arrived at a slower time on a Sunday afternoon but the store quickly filled up with every person from families to solo diners. HIDDEN GEM!! This coffee house is so stinking cute and has amazing coffee and food to match! I was surprised that I was the only customer, but I was here at 10am on a Monday, so I assumed a lot of people are already at work. I got the Duvalin speciality coffee and the Nutella Nebula crepe. Both were amazing and I left full and happy. The witch decor is very cute, there's a lot to look at while enjoying your meal. There's also an outdoor patio area to enjoy while the weather is nice! Another reviewer mentioned that there are AI photos inside used as decor. This is true, however, this is a small business that I cannot imagine have the spare funds to hire a muralist.
