I was in the middle of downtown, and I needed myself some coffee. Luckily, Peixoto had me covered! I briefly looked at options of independent roasters, and this one caught my eye. I came in the late afternoon to this bakery/coffee house combo, and I was pleasantly surprised with the environment. Lots of natural light and easy-going atmosphere. It was a small shop, but still had good seating. I ordered a prickly pear espresso tonic and got a bag of beans as well. I had a great interaction with the barista and she recommended me some good beans to take home. The tonic itself was very refreshing, and I was happy to have it on one of the hottest days of the year up until then. Lovely vibes and the coffee is great. I think I want to come back to try their other espresso-based stuff to get a good gauge on how a flat white or cortado tastes. For the first time a few weeks ago, and I was not disappointed. It shares a space with a bakery, which is so fun because you can get coffee from Peixoto and also grab fresh pastries or a sandwich. I love Peixoto beans and so happy one is downtown now! We found some metered parking and walked a few blocks. It's easy to find and a beautiful building. Customer service was upbeat and friendly. We went with a buttered pumpkin latte and kettle corn latte with an ube cold foam the barista recommended. Drinks were made pretty quick despite how busy on a Saturday morning. Beans were perfect, drinks were not watered down and full of flavor. Seating is pretty limited as well. Overall, happy they're closer to home and will be stopping in again soon. read more

I have been wanting to go here for so long and I'm happy they finally put a location in downtown Phoenix! This is my first time ever going to a Peixoto coffee and I'm honestly blown away. The seasonal menu was amazing. They had a lemon poppy Matcha, which, in all reality I would never in a million years think about putting that combination in a matcha but it sounded really good. I ended up getting a blackberry lemon latte with oat milk and this had to have been one of the best lattes I have had in a very long time. Although next time I would probably get it without poppy seeds, just because I don't like things floating in my coffee but the combination was great. The blackberry was just enough. It wasn't too sweet. The coffee was very smooth and not bitter! There were a ton of people in line, but they still managed to get my coffee order out in 10 minutes or less which I think is quite impressive especially for a small coffee shop! Parking can be really difficult, especially because this is located on a corner in an ASU building in downtown Phoenix but it's worth it to not have to go all the way to the east valley to get a coffee! read more

Awesome experience! The baristas were nice, patient, and very informative about any questions I had. I got the strawberry latte (seasonal), the rest of my group got a vanilla latte, white mocha latte, and a pourover. The person who got the pourover said it was the best coffee they've ever had, very smooth, not bitter at all. I cannot recall which blend we got, but I went with the barista's recommendation. Not nearly as big/as much seating as their location at Agritopia, but still decent. Lots of bakery items that we didn't get to try this time. Needless to say, this is not your average drive-thru drip coffee! As someone who doesn't handle caffeine well, I really appreciated the abundance of decaf options. Service was friendly, and the presentation was beautiful. Prices are a little steep, but what isn't nowadays? At least the quality certainly matches the cost. A quick note on logistics: save yourself a lap around the block. You don't need to enter the larger main building; just head to the corner of 7th St and Garfield and the entrance is right there. Very excited about this collaboration with pastries. I went during opening weekend. I ordered an iced matcha. It was good. It was too watery and I could taste the matcha flavor. Obviously they are known for their coffee but I'm not a coffee drinker. I like match and chai and there were options for both. Excited to try a chai next time. The line was long but everyone seemed friendly that worked there. The space they are in is cute and designed well. I understand the construction and intention flow of traffic but it can be hard to see it when you first walk in and when it's crowded. read more

Hallelujah!!! This is a dream collaboration for all coffee/tea lovers and pastry enthusiasts in central Phoenix! I no longer have to drive 35-40 minutes to Chandler or Scottsdale for these offerings! CP is a magnificent new space in DT Phoenix, housed in a fairly new ASU building. Peixoto and Chaconne are sharing the space, so they have 2 registers and ordering areas. It works well! The seasonal coffees and beautiful pastries are exactly what you can expect of these experts. Plenty of seating inside and outside! Light, airy and so welcoming! The baristas and bakery staff are very knowledgeable about their products. It's going to be so dangerous to be able to access Mark Chaconne's baked goods every day instead of just on market days now! FYI: parking is mostly on the street. There is a parking lot behind the building, but there is no validated parking. An adorable new coffee shop in downtown Phoenix. Their lattes are unique with homemade syrup. My favorite was their fall corn latte. They currently have a spring carrot cake latte with a cheesecake cold foam that looks heavenly. They share their inside space with a local pastry artist, so it is great to grab a yummy pastry and a latte at the same time. Parking is downtown street parking, so allow time to find one. read more

I was really excited to see Peixoto enter the neighborhood because I know they have such a following. So far, it has been mostly a great experience, although there are some downsides for me. The good: The staff - Everyone there is so freaking nice! I have never had a bad interaction with anyone there, even when they are super busy; The location - It is such a good location, and I love that they have a walk up window for when I visit with my dog; The quality - You know they care about the product because the coffee is such a high quality. The less good: The price - This is by far the most expensive coffee shop I have ever been to. Yes, you pay for quality, but my last drink was $10 after a $1 tip. That is a lot!; The sweetness - They have a lot of specialty drinks, but I have yet to find one that is not cloyingly sweet. I recently had a Twilight Nitro, and it was so sweet that I could not even finish it. It was a shame because it was also almost $10 after tip. I don't know if the patisserie is technically the same company as Peixoto, but I have to comment how terrible the product is there. The barista is very friendly and knowledgeable. The family that owns Peixoto owns a coffee farm in Brazil so they roast their own coffee. It was really busy here on the first Saturday morning after they opened, so it's obviously a well-known place. I got a cold brew, just black and the coffee was really good. It came out right away also, but we also ordered an iced matcha and that took about 15 minutes. I've heard good things about that coffee beans too, so I hoped to grab a bag to take home, but a 2lb bag was $43 so I held off this time. I'll definitely be back to try again though and hopefully choose a less busy time. She suggested a drink and I honestly can't remember the name of it but what I do remember was it being over 11+ dollars for a SMALL drink. The cold foam was an extra $2.00 which is WILD. The coffee is the focal point and it is well done. My understanding is that this is a family run shop and they have additional family in Brazil who operate a coffee plantation. Any of the beans under their family name come from that farm. They do use beans sourced from other areas as well. I really enjoy the pour over. Nice coffee shop overall! Since it is in the middle of downtown PHX its pretty much only street parking but it shouldn't be an issue finding any during Peixoto's business hours. There is a huge bakery in this location which is a plus if you're into that. The space can be quite cramped if its busy so be aware of that if you're trying to sit down. The baristas are nice and are always willing to answer questions which is useful because Peixoto tends to offer a ton of seasonal drinks. As for coffee I think its just OK. I've tried their chai too and that was just OK as well. If you happen to be in the Roosevelt Row area and cross paths with Peixoto its definitely worth a shot at trying. read more

You should put up a sign since it's not obvious. This location is downtown and a lot of residents walk their pets in the area. We used to go to the chandler location ALL the time and when we moved to Phoenix we were sad to move away from our favorite coffee shop. We were SO excited to see their Phoenix location opened with the pastries inside as well!! We got an iced kettle corn latte and a chai with the kettle corn syrup- THE BEST FALL DRINK!! A few years ago I went to the original Peixoto in Chandler. I remember it clearly. The care was real. The kind you don't see much anymore. They were roasting their own beans, which mattered to me then and still does. That day became one of the luckiest days of my life. I tell people this and they think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. I found nearly five hundred rare, highly collectible records that had belonged to Eddie Amador. One hundred dollars. I still can't explain it. It started that morning with a cup of coffee from Peixoto. I don't forget things like that. This location is beautiful. Phoenix should consider itself very lucky to have Peixoto and Chacone Patisserie sharing the same roof. Some cities never get days like that. read more

This review is based solely on the quality of the drinks. We ordered two lattes, a mocha and a fun seasonal 'butter brew.' Both were inedible. A safe go-to for trying a new place is the mocha, but this one tasted like water with cocoa powder. The butter brew tasted like water with butterscotch. Milk nor coffee were detectable. I wish I could have tried the pastries, but we were so upset with finding yet another bad cup of coffee we just tossed our drinks and left. read more
