I went here early on a Saturday so I could sit and enjoy a coffee while reading. The inside is nice, quaint, and dimly lit. The staff were so sweet. I told them it was my first time so they reviewed sizing with me and let me know how many shots were in each size. I note this because I don't recall any other shop doing this. It was helpful for me. I got a hot breve cardamom pumpkin latte and it was perfect! It wasn't too hot so I could drink it comfortably. It also wasn't too sweet and you could actually taste the cardamom. A lot of drinks I've had with cardamom, you can't really taste it. It was quiet and there was a steady stream of customers coming in and out. I was able to sit for about an hour and enjoy my book. We came to Esso for our weekly coffee shop stop. It had a cute cozy vibe inside, but still felt like enough space to sit and study for a while. They had a nice seasonal menu. We tried a few of their fall drinks as well as a donut. The service was terrific and extremely helpful in making recommendations. The drink I got, I was warned there was 4 shots of espresso, and it was strong! I heard 4 shots, and understood 4 shots, but I didn't think it would be an issue until I was drinking the 4 shots. Oh my goodness, If I could give 10 stars I would, this place is beautiful and lowkey and the workers are so sweet and welcoming in the short 2 minutes I was in there waiting inside for my coffee I felt nothing but comfortable. They asked all the right questions as Im not a coffee drinker unless its sweeter but this coffee and the flavor profile is wonderful, not burnt coffee like how im used to lol! I've been to this coffee shop a handful of times and I've enjoyed every visit. The staff is friendly, coffee is delicious and the seating areas are inviting. It was cold this morning and I needed something different and hot.. I ordered the tiramisu latte - dark chocolate, almond syrup with almond milk.. it's like a rich dessert but not overly sweet. The dirty apple cider chai from their seasonal menu is also delicious. They have pan dulce (Mexican pastries) to go with your coffee drink. Plenty of seating areas inside and patio, tables for catching up on work and a couch to lounge. They also host free weekend events (check their website for details). I've had enough! of the chain stores that hire children that don't understand how much true coffee taste means to grown folks... This "CoffeeHouse" has an aroma you can smell from the tiny parking lot ( follow your nose, it's on the first level of the building ) ... Two kind folks were working with a laid back confident vibe next to this beautiful espresso monster machine. I asked for a regular Latte & a Carmel Latte ... I can tell you this place is the real deal because I received my immediate "caffeine rush" ( if ya know, you know) within 3-5 mins ( Ty so, so much) & I drink several cups a day at home or in these streets. I tried to be open minded for a few months because it was only a bad latte 1/3 times but now every time I go it's terrible unless one specific guy makes it. There is seating for about 10 people inside and four people in comfortable rocking chairs outside on a covered patio. Parking could be an issue at busy times. I came here because I saw on Yelp that they offer Turmeric Lattes. Hooray! The cafe is very small and clean. The barista was nice and greeted me warmly even though she was in the middle of making drinks for another customer. I got a Turmeric Latte and a Rice Crispy Treat. The latte was only ok, nothing that I would return for. The rice crispy treat was so overly sweet that I ended up tossing it in the trash after only a couple bites. Not sure if I'll return, but if I do, I will probably just stick to drip coffee. read more

Second visit. Same result. I'm sure the coffee is good quality, but I literally couldn't taste anything. First time in a month ago I had a hot Americano; this time I had a black iced americano. Very faint flavor, not much detectable caffeine. We also ordered a chai tea latte and whilst it was well-made, the flavor explosion wasn't there. So I'm stumped. Two shot iced americano maybe? Short pours? I don't know. But it's not for me. I love the ambience, and the staff are friendly.
