Wow! Being new to Arizona I did not venture into Phoenix to find this Gem of a location in the six months I've been here and boy was I missing out! The service is outstanding and the location is mind blowing! Quite a number of people working, conversing, and just overall enjoying life over the best coffee in Arizona! This may be a flagship location withe the actual coffee roasters in the store reminiscent of a wonderful place I visited in Milan Italy, right here in the Phoenix Metro area! The outdoor patio seating has a fantastic ambience, and there's an upstairs area for larger groups of private events. Now to my 16 ounce hot oat milk, honey latte... Placed a to-go order on the app. Upon arrival there is a pretty extensive road Contruction project happening right out front, however, you can still easily access the entrance. There is a parking lot right by the building but it was completely full when I arrived. There was parking further away from the building with plenty of parking that was covered. Made a stop today to not our usual coffee place. Glad we did! This place is modern and gorgeous! Love the vibes of this place. I also liked that we are able to have pourovers and even from their reserve list. Their staff was very polite and gave great service. The person attending us was new but did wonderful. She was quick to let us know she was new and asked for help when needed. She offered us a pup cup, which of course melted my heart! Our baby had not had a pup cup in over a year. Any place who treats my fur baby good is top tier to me. Okay onto the coffee. I'm a pourover lover, so this is not a knock on the place, staff, or the company. I love it here. We tried the: 1. Press reserve from Volcan Valley, Panama (honey process-gesha) 2. Kenya Uteuzi Jimbo (washed process) . Okay the flavor profile of the reserve is: delicate, honeysuckle, lemon zest. I liked this one but not my fave of the two. I'm glad I tried it because it is only released 4 times out of the year, but it did fall flat for me. This is just my personal liking for coffee (so doesn't mean bad coffee and definitely tasty and wayyyyyyyy million times better than the big chain coffee places). However I do prefer my coffee to be more punch in the face flavor profile, with more acidity and more fruit forward and floral flavors. Definitely worth trying though. The Kenya pour over believe it or not was my favorite of the two. The flavor profile is: apricot, marzipan and black current. It's not quite a punch in the face but still has that acidity I'm looking for and that more fruit forward flavor. The finish is good too. Today this one is the winner. Overall enjoyed my experience here. If you are a coffee lover check out press. We've been going to press for over 9 years. I should have written a review sooner. We have never been to this location. It was our first visit and it's beautiful. Definitely recommend. Try a little of everything if you are new to coffee so you can get a feel of what you do or don't like. It also sounds like that have samples. We went home with their instant Ethiopian/costa Rican blend with flavor profile of: blueberry, strawberry, peach. I'm excited to try it at home! Come stop by! I love the ambiance of this place. It's a very modern, peaceful coffee shop to work or meet others at. There's a large seating area with a bar and high top counter on the first floor but I absolutely love the second floor where there's some nice armchairs and more tables. They also have this board that changes quotes and sayings every once in a while downstairs which I thought was pretty cool. Food and coffee are good. I've been here a few times and everytime I go here my drink always tastes the same! I love their cinnamon shaker and their vanilla latte is always on point! It's a great place to meet people or work as there is a ton of seating up and downstairs. A few downfalls are parking- if you get there anytime after 9am it's very hard to find a parking spot and sometimes the service isn't consistent. I am a big lover of coffee and have been to many Press Coffee locations in the past. This was my first visit to their Roastery location in Phoenix. It is a nice space that is two levels with plenty of seating. The second level has wood flooring and is an open-air concept. The atmosphere is really chill and a great place to network or study. I appreciate coffee shops like Press that are passionate about putting out a good cup of coffee. Press Coffee has become a staple here in the Valley since they started out 15 years ago. They have good relations with their farmers and work hard to put out a quality product. I am a latte with no sugar or flavors or black coffee type of person. I do not do blended coffee drinks because I want that pure coffee taste in my cup. So knowing that I am getting the freshest cup of coffee is important to me. In addition to their coffee menu, Press has an assortment of pastries and breakfast items to pair with your coffee drink. I came here for their Coffee 101 class that they hold on the second level. Every time that I think that I know a lot about coffee, some coffee expert teaches me something new. The guy who ran the class was knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. We learned about what makes a quality bean and what to look for in purchasing your coffee. There was a lot of sniffing and tasting involved in this class. We were also given a tour of their roasting area and learned about the coffee roasting process. These classes are a lot of fun, especially when you get a group of people together. I've been here two times. Decent coffee here with plenty of seating! The first time I came they made my coffee wrong- with oat milk instead of almond milk. When I said something they were quick to replace it without complaint! Second time no incidents. However, it seems more expensive than other places. Our total was $17 for 2 small lattes with almond milk. The price doesn't add up so I'm not sure what happened. I will say- this latte was a lot stronger than many others caffeine wise, which was a nice boost for the afternoon. read more

Four corners coffee is the best blend I have found locally, it's so good. I buy whole bean and usually it's been roasted that week, usually roasting on Monday or Tuesday. I find shelf stock can be in short supply due to popularity so I call ahead for pickup to make sure it's available. Most times it is. Try it, you won't be disappointed. I love Press Coffee but the employees at this location seem like they do not care. This location prioritizes getting out as many half assed drinks as possible without caring about the customer who is receiving it. Today I was told they won't tailor a drink for customers because it is outside of their "brand standards". I rarely drink coffee so cold brew is way too strong for me and makes me sick but I get the shaker for the protein because I come directly after an intense workout and I don't want something heavy like a smoothie. I requested espresso instead. It would make sense to explain it with "we use more milk than the original recipe calls for". I'd even be willing to pay extra, not that it would make any sense, but the protein is valuable to me. Ive been working for a very expensive smoothie/juice shop for years and we would NEVER turn a customer down because of "brand standards". Of course we have them for consistency for the CUSTOMER but if they want something special, their money and loyalty is worth more than whatever our "brand standard" is. read more

So we decided to give this establishment a try since it is near our apartment but honestly, we were not impressed. We bought 2 drip coffees but they didn't provide us with any lids. I did ask and they finally gave us a couple of them. We decided to dine upstairs where they were hosting a coffee brewing class. The establishment is clean and the coffee is decent but they had no alternative milk or creamer options. Finally, the staff including the gentlemen who were conducting the classes were obsessed with talking badly about Starbucks coffee. Alright - I LOVE PRESS. When I think about having a great day it starts here. Unfortunately, I live off bell and this is on Shea.. I ordered the instant coffee packs at home when I'm in a pinch and can't stop by. However, PRESS has turned into my go-to spot for coffee. I will say if you are in a hurry - I wouldn't come here. Though since I complained in my review the staff are producing drinks and not chit chatting. Anyways - who cares about service if it's great! My go to: I get the chocolate peanut butter shaker. It's smooth and just the perfect espresso taste. The blueberry muffin from Noble is hit or miss. Sometimes it has 2 blueberries and it's just boring - sometimes it has 8 blueberries and it's better - and rarely it has 15 bb and it's amazing. It's like playing the lotto so I get one regardless. This location is right across from Black Rock Climbing gym so on days when I stop by to climb or yogacize, I like to come in here for a treat. Coffees are solid here, and I have enjoyed them and would come back here when I need a caffeine fix. As for their matcha oat latte, I wasn't too impressed with this. I've been drinking matcha for over 30 years so I know what good matcha should taste like. I think what they made me today was subpar. The matcha drink was way too liquidy and felt like it was not ceremonial grade matcha powder used at all. Kind of a disappointment as I really like this, but this drink just didn't work for me. I never write reviews, but I do love studying here and I have been for years. I don't know what changed though because I feel like all of the sudden, they started playing loud and harsh EDM music, it makes hard to study and I walked out the last time because I couldn't focus so I didn't end up buying anything. The coffee has been a little off recently too. When it comes to the matcha there is just one girl that can make the matcha right, I don't remember her name, but I am honestly assuming that a lot of people are just new. I come to a coffee shop like this because they take their time on drinks, and I love pour overs with a good coffee. I got a pour over here and it was really weak. Basically couldn't taste the coffee at all. They told me they make it more like tea and that I could ask for it to be stronger. So I come in again today. Ask them to add less water, and they said they're not allowed to change the ratio. I'm sorry, but they should look up some best practices for making coffee because it's not tea. It should not be watered down unless you're trying to save on beans, but why would you? The pour over policy here sucks. read more

Love trying out other Press locations as I've been a Press Coffee fan since their first location opened in 2008. This location is very cool inside with ample sitting and a large patio. Always kind and helpful employees whenever visited this location for coffee, food or to restock coffee beans for home. Definitely recommend checking out. read more

Stopped by this Press location for the first time, and had a drip coffee to see what they're all about. They have milk alternatives and that is a plus and some of their food items are dairy-free/vegan so that is another plus. I am not sure if any of the pastries are dairy-free or vegan. The coffee is good, it wasn't spectacular but good. I sat upstairs and a Coffee 101 presentation just happened to start. I couldn't help but over hear some bits of what was said by the male presentator while explaining the difference between the coffee at Press he took jabs at Starbucks for over roasting, I felt like the person could have said other "companies or our competitors". While we were on our way out the door another male counter person said the same thing about Starbucks and their over roasting, and it just seemed odd to me that this must be a norm at Pressed coffee to be "pressed about how Starbucks roasts their beans". Overall Press Roastery is a cool spot to have a coffee, chill and get work done or relax. read more
