Really cute corner cafe off of union! It's cute inside, although a little cramped for seating, but cozy. You're immediately greeted with an assortment of sweet treats that look amazing. There is also plenty of food options on the menu from avocado toast to burritos. I will definitely be trying food next time. They also roast their own coffee in house (pictured) Speaking of the menu, it is busy and hard to follow and read all the amazing things they offer. Unable to make a decision from the menu, I did ask the cashier what she recommends and she was very insightful and kind. I got the cinnamon churro latte with oat milk and my partner got the toasted coconut banana cold brew and both were SO good. But I will personally be back for that so tasted coconut banana cold brew. 11/10. The 4 stars is simply because I could not follow the menu (although so adorable and changes monthly) and the seating inside being in very close quarters. Little stop while running errands and getting things done for work and found this incredible spot! Simple drink for me in an americano but my coworker got a coconut Thai tea latte, and had to resist ordering all the food things. Everything looks absolutely amazing and I do hope it's all freshly made. The Toasted Coconut Banana Cold Brew was phenomenal! The pastries here seem endless as there are sit down and grab and go options. The inside was cute and had great customer service, everyone was truly so kind. My only complaint is moving pieces on the menu itself which made it really "busy". There was a bit of a pause when it came to ordering because I was easily reading over 40 items on one screen. They also added some moving animations which made it a little hard to order. I really wanted to love this spot! It's so close to home and super cute and I could absolutely see myself coming by to meet with friends or to work on my computer. I was disappointed with the food and drink though so the stars I have were mostly for the welcoming feel. I ordered the honey almond latte and it had zero flavor it was just watered down coffee and frothy almond milk. The red pozole was very good with a flavorful broth and lots of spice but it was entirely all hominy with not even a single piece or meat. The avocado toast I took to go and my very first bite there was a long brown hair intertwined with the avocado so I had to throw it away I will try again but for now a 3 star is all I could muster with my first experience. read more

Súper cute coffee shop with lots of options both in drinks and food. They have some brunch items too. We had the smoked salmon bagel and snow flake coffee. Everything was delicious, my daughter had a coffee too but I can't remember the name. Both were cold brews. The staff was very kind and patient as we looked at the extensive menu. The bagel was good, if you like salmon taste you will love this one. It was packed, the bagel itself was soft and made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend it. I also loved that they didn't start making the coffee until after the sandwich was made. We will definitely be back. The inside isn't super huge but there was lots of seating. read more

I ordered a cold brew with cream and the Nutella protein waffle. The coffee was pretty standard. The waffle is so good that you doubt that it should be called a protein waffle! And honestly, at 15 grams of protein it can't go head to head with a protein shake when it comes to macros, but it sure is more delish. It's a good treat! I selected a bag of beans from the back wall of the store. There were no prices marked, but I usually find the price consistent at other local coffee roasters. When they rang the coffee up for $28... I realized that this was one of those situations of 'if you need to ask the price then you can't afford it.' The staff was kind in response to my sticker shock. There's an extensive drink menu with a variety of choices from seasonal coffees and matchas and standard hot and cold beverages. So many food choices for the hungry - breakfast sandwiches, avocado bagels and a vast array of baked goods. The glass cloches reveal so many tempting baked goods - cookies, bars, brownies and more. Come hungry and take some home to share! The BC in their name references the former Bread Crafters stores, missing their sandwiches? Now you have a good alternative! I walked in and was greeted by the barista who threw out a good morning while ringing someone up. The pastry case or table really is huge with so many sweet treats! I tried a pecan toffee bar and it was perfect blend of crunchy and smooth. This place has a lot of syrup options and drink concoctions if that's your thing! Plus a good amount of alternative milks (I saw pistachio milk listed!) I'm always happy when I see rose syrup on the menu, so I ordered a rose latte which was delicious. They had a ton of hearty food options as well (salads, toasts, burritos, and more) and I hope to come back to try a burrito. When I waited for my drink there was a constant stream of people coming in and the barista greeted every one of them. NOTE: when I went in on Monday morning it seemed the barista / cashier was the only one available to make drinks so be patient! I didn't wait longer than 5mins, but I could tell she cared bc she made sure to let each person know she'd be right with them- making a drink then serving a customer etc. The place has decent amount of seating inside but it is a bit of a tight fit, they offer outdoor seating too which I'm sure is nicer in the fall! read more

Stopped in to Cortado as this is close to my office and I was in need of caffeine. Their fresh baked goods is the first thing I smelled when walking in. They had just put out muffins that were still warm so of course I had to grab one. It was the morning glory muffin which think of carrot cake in muffin form. It was sooooo good. The gal working so super nice and allowed me time to decide on what to drink. They had so many choices! I opted for the praline sugar cookie latte which comes standard with almond milk. The coffee wasn't the best brew but also not the worst. I will definitely come back for some baked goods and grab another coffee! read more

The new location was a bit understaffed this weekend, which caused a bit delay in getting your drink order. When I did get the iced coffee smores drink, it wasn't that good either, lacking flavor. That being said I walked in and clearly let the barista know that I was going to use the restroom first and then I will come back and order. They then proceed to let me Wait for probably close to 5 minutes and it wasn't until I went back out to the barista that I found out that you need a key for the bathroom when I thought I was waiting on somebody in there. I was going to wait to give him a second chance to order and get some of what looks like in delicious pastry and some coffee but they were an absolutely no hurry and it seemed like there were two people in front of me who been waiting there for a little bit and they had not even been greeted yet. I walked out; the ambiance of what feels like a systemic lack of customer service cannot be over come by a beautiful natural look and tasty looking pastrys. This place is so cute! I saw it when I was in the plaza for CVS the day before and decided to try it out. They have so much food to offer-breakfast/brunch, acai bowls, and LOTS of delicious desserts!! I tried a valentine's day drink "honey nut with strawberry" and it was so good. An iced latte with strawberry cold foam on top?! Sign me up. The coffee is delicious. Smooth, well balanced and aromatic. I am eager to come back for a coffee and desserts date. I tried this shop a few years ago and didn't like it, but since it's now under new ownership, I thought I would give it another try. I just walked in and ordered one of my usual drinks -- two shots of espresso over ice with one pump sugar-free vanilla and a little bit of honey mixed in (topped with a splash of cream). The lady charged me $4.95 for a double shot of espresso, $.65 for cream, and $.75 for one pump of sugar-free vanilla. After tax, my bill was going to be seven dollars even. Seven dollars! This was literally more expensive than a latte with flavor in it, which was listed at $6.25. I was so disgusted that I canceled my order and walked out. For reference, this same drink costs me $3 at 32 Shea and about $4 at Serafina -- two other shops in the same vicinity. The place was insanely crowded with no seats available; it was very cramped inside. Do not recommend. Now that I wasted all this time, I will barely be able to get any work done before I have to pick my daughter up from gymnastics down the street. Thanks for nothing, Cortado. read more

They changed their menu to start toasting bread for sandwiches. If i were just toasted bread, it might be OK. It feels/tastes like they are toasting in an oil of some sort that makes the bread mushy and, in my opinion, fairly inedible. Toasted bread is not on the menu. We've been going here for 3 years and typically order the same things each time we visit. We went this past weekend and got our usual Lumberjack burrito. My daughter, wife and I all ate the burrito. We've been sick for the last day and a half. My daughter has thrown up and me and my wife have had stomach issues since eating here yesterday.
