Great small spot with home made goods (sweet, savory and even roasted coffee beans) It feels like an European Cafe in terms of flavors and selection . In the baked goods you can taste the batter, the coffee has the bitterness that it needs. I have not tried the savory menu. read more

Very cute place, right at the end of a strip mall. Lots of beautiful pastry and coffee options. I got the tiramisu cold brew and it was so tasty. Didn't even need cream or milk. Really friendly staff. Small sit down area. I think this would be great for a quick coffee before work or a sit down brunch on the weekend. read more

Absolutely a delicacy--- wonderful white pumpkin latte - but beware ..... dozens of spectacular little treat too . This little corner shop is an eye opener when you walk in. Breakfast bagels, breakfast burritos, available bowls, avocado toast, fresh made salads, fruit smoothies, lemonades, protein add ins, collagen, plant based. Honestly, how do they fit it all in??? Great customer service, she even leaned forward and talked slow to ask questions for my HOH husband. Cute cute shop--- worth the drive, cortado, lg latte and 2 dessert snacks under $20 including tip read more

Expensive. Very expensive. 8" french dip was over $15. Half turkey/cranberry sandwich was almost $10. Lemonade: $6. Turkey was good - not deli turkey - with sliced cucumber (don't be lazy - peel the cukes) plenty of cranberry sauce. Beef on french dip was surprisingly moist but not plentiful. Service was abrupt (not friendly at all) and the food speed was okay. The baked goods/desserts looked incredible! lots of cakes, cookies, cheesecakes to choose from. Lots of seating but very close together. Good choice if you are waiting on your vacuum to be repaired a few doors down at Dyson. read more

The coffee drink selection and baked goods are extensive with something for everyone. Some of the drinks and treats were so unique that it was hard to pick what to try. Everything our group got was delicious and I already want to go back to experience more. The service was friendly and patient with our questions. The shop was very cute with lots of seating in a cozy space. read more

Amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very inviting. With a massive display of all the delicious pastries offered. Outstanding service coupled with an amazing menu. Food was absolutely spectacular. Found this place doing a quick lookup of breakfast spots on yelp. Will definitely be back. read more

Ok service, cute place and the pastries are yummy but the drinks were terrible. I got a "matcha chill" and it was gritty and tasted like heavy cream and the matcha was completely flavorless despite ordering it with oat milk and my sister got a half sweet vanilla latte and they didn't make it half sweet (unless their half is our regular) and it was bad as far as lattes go. We didn't order food but they food others ordered looked pretty good. Would not return but might be an ok lunch spot. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and my husband and I loved it! Fresh baked desserts - so many choices! We had the cherry crumble and it was perfect! The Cortado was AMAZING - the best tasting expresso - just wow!!! My husband loved his chai tea latte too - incredible! The young man who waited on us was an amazing human - so friendly and enthusiastic - he really made our visit extra special! Such a cute, clean place! Highly recommend! read more

The restaurant is too small and their menu is too busy. The chai tea tastes like cream and not enough chai in it.. the crème brulle wasn't as creamy .. it was more of a flan texture. Their salads looked delicious, next time I'll try them. The aura was nice, felt like everyone was enjoying their time there. read more

I've been to this place a few times, so happy every time! Highly recommend the French dip sandwich and the matcha latte with honey Lavendar! My fiancé loved the Ruben sandwich as well. They also have the most dreamy salmon salad but frequently sell out before I make it in love the new seating they added...They also have fresh juice and so many baked goods and desserts. Cortado is much more than coffee! Will be back! read more

Cortado BC - French dip sandwich - Cafes Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

One of my favorite coffee shops! Their menu is huge and there is something for everyone. SO many sweet treats to choose from as well! Drinks: My favorite is the iced lavender latte. It's the best in town! The prices are pretty good for the size of the drink you get. Food: the ABLT truly is the "best in phoenix"! The portion was huge and the mayonnaise on it made the sandwich! I ordered it with the side of potato salad. Delicious. Will be getting it again. My main piece of feedback is consistency in the service. Sometimes I go and have great service and my order is exactly what I want. The last two times I went, my drink was wrong OR it took over 35 minutes to get my drink (not an exaggeration). Once I got my drink I had already finished my food, but my order was correct and good. This coffee should would be top tier if they figured out their service hiccups. I hope to continue to come back! read more

Every time I'm in Arizona I have to go to Cortado BC coffee shop! I spend time searching out the best espresso drinks and food and I've found it plus the customer service is amazing! Anayeli is a fantastic barista, extremely hard-working, knowledgeable with a positive attitude! If you're looking for something decadent, they have wonderful pastries and if you want protein, there's great burritos and my favorite is the avocado toast the honey chili with a fried egg on top! read more

Service was so slow, we were the only people there. Coffee was served after the meal arrived. But both the food and coffee were great. Lots of seating, but very packed in. Would return for the product, not the service. read more

Wow, wow, wow. Coffee, food, and treats galore!!!!! They have a MASSIVE holiday drink menu, tons of food options, and several sweet treats. This menu is massive, there's an option for everyone! We got the green chile burrito and a bacon egg and cheese bagel and it was amazing!!!! The service was great and quick despite being super busy. It is so cute and cozy inside. I will definitely be back, perfect place to study alone to bring someone for a brunch date. read more

I wish I had taken pictures of my visit here, because it was fantastic! This is such a nice, cozy coffee and lunch spot. I got the Tasty Turkey sandwich on an everything bagel and it was soooo good. The pesto spread was my favorite. I also got an iced black tea that was really good and I brought home a couple of brownies for my family to try. We especially loved the Caramel Cookie Dough Brownie, yum! All of the employees were very friendly and took great care of us. I also loved how clean and modern it felt. Definitely will be back and highly recommend! read more

I was looking for a spot to grab a morning bevvie and get some work done and I sure am glad to have found King Coffee Roastery! I had myself a fantastic experience, from enjoying the ambience and local art posted up on the walls, to sipping on my tasty matcha while sitting window-side, being kissed by the sun, and typing away on my laptop. The baristas were kind and had such a welcoming and warm energy; impeccable vibes, especially if you're looking for that "chill, lo-fi coffee shop" experience. I ordered a blueberry bagel with peanut butter and a hot matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla. Both were fresh, tasty, and fulfilling. The wifi was speedy and reliable and the sitting area was spacious and well-lit. I highly recommend popping in if you're traveling or in the area! read more

SBL and I wanted to try a coffee shop on the way home. Cortado BC was close and we thought why not give this a whirl. First feels: A warm hug. I instantly loved it and felt right at home. The owner, Monica had a vision and executed it very well. There were so many desserts and baked goods, it was a fabulous thing to see. Honestly there wasn't a thing in there that I wouldn't try either. The sweets looked stupid picturesque, like exactly how all tasties should. (From experience when things are made with overflowing love this is how they look and taste) I got the s'mores brownie and SBL got the magic bar. I also got an iced Lucky Charms latte 24ozer When people who serve coffee in life sized containers they get it. Also is it disturbing I've worked my way up to life sized coffee amounts? I'm thinking no, not really. I'm just living my best life here drinking all the coffee. The desserts were ridiculously wonderful. Soft, moist, sweet, but not too sweet. They were giant and bulky and thick and chewy and melty in your mouth and so off the charts good. Top tier I say, top tier! The latte was delicious as well. Thank you Kayla for making my coffee with love, good job kid. We can tell you work hard and try your best. Overall: GO HERE! In conclusion: Could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you for making a place we can feel so comfortable at. Well played Monica, well played. read more

Came here to get some work done! There are two places in the store to charge your devices. I was here for about 4 hours and had a peaceful time eating and finishing up work. I first ordered a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso (they have this at Starbucks) and definitely liked this one here way better since the brown sugar flavor was more prominent AND they give you a bigger cup size. After a couple hours I ordered a Turkey pesto sandwich and the pesto and cheese were especially delicious! I also got a cookies and cream brownie since it was in the field of vision near the register haha it was also equally delicious with big chunks of Oreo cookies in it! Very huge portion too! The service was quick and the atmosphere was very quiet here so I got a lot of work done! I will definitely be back! read more

10/10 I am coming again! I found my favorite latte that a lot of places don't have. It's the Marzipan cold foam latte it's so delicious if you like peanut butter flavor. My sandwich was so filling and delicious. They did a wonderful job with it! I got work done here on my computer for about two hours. I'm so happy I found a spot in my neighborhood that is local and super friendly!! read more

I came to this establishment before it changed hands and really enjoyed it. Now after becoming Cortado Coffee the coffee is not good and the environment is not inviting. It was very hot inside and the dining room appeared to be redone with the refrigerator sitting in the rear of the dining room. This is a perfect example of, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I enjoyed my time there in the past under the prior owners but won't be going back. read more

this is one of my new favorite coffee shops! shout out to my gf for finding it! they have such good seasonal flavors, such a variety in both drinks and food. i got a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich and it was amazing. i really want to go back here soon to try all of the other sandwiches they have. the pastries look really good as well. the last two times I have been here, I was working on different projects of mine. The atmosphere was a really good working environment with plenty of seating. Sometimes the music is a little too loud for my liking but it's not too bad. read more

What a great find this place was. The food was great and the drinks were great. I got a CCC caramel, coconut, chai. If you like coconut, you will love this. I tried out a magic bar and it was also excellent. I'm sure other things are good here too, looking forward to going back. read more

Not the most trendy coffee shop I've been to, but if I were to taste Cortado Coffee in a blind taste test, it would rank near the top. The dude behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable. He educated me about their roasting process which is done in house (always a bonus). They roast beans from 3 different counties in house- two from Central America and one from Africa. I'm not sure which roast I had, but I found it to be ultra rich and smooth. Bonus they gave me a free refill. I will definitely come back soon read more

This place is an absolute Sh**sh** 3 times in a row they have gotten my order wrong They never iced tea brewed in the am when they open. You need to get there 30-45 min after they open for that. If they do screw up, they wont take ownership over it, as they will act very surprised and say "this never happens" All of the above makes it a very inconvenient place to go. Its a shame because the food is usually solid, but the management and execution is really really poor. I would be surprised if they remain open much longer based on the service and a pretty bad location. read more

When asked if the granola was gluten-free, waitress stuck up her nose and said she "didn't even know what gluten was." train your staff better. celiac is no joke. it was not what she said (although you should know what common allergens are if you dare to serve food), but the snotty way she said it. read more

My husband and I live around the corner from this coffee shop and just noticed it the other day when we were driving by so we decided to stop by today for some breakfast and coffees, and it is so good!! When we walked in the place was packed, no empty seats, so that was a good sign! We got the tiramisu cold brew and we ordered another iced coffee with peanut butter flavoring and oat milk. We also got two bagel sandwiches. The egg + cheese please bagel sandwich is drool worthy, sweet and spicy, and something you won't find anywhere else. Their pastries look so good, we will have to try them next time! read more

Cortado is simply amazing. We needed something authentic, and with selections we can only find in Mesa or places further out if this neighborhood. Finally! A spot where you can get cortado any time, and birria for.breakfasr if you want. Best coffee. Best pastries and ok service. It's just simply amazing. This is not one of those places you can visit everyday tho. You will end up broke. The prices are on the high side. But hey if you have it like that... This is one spot not to miss! read more

This place is a JOKE. This is NOT what it appears to be. 3 weeks ago when we drove through town we stopped here. Our drinks were way too hot, the woman that took our order seemed confused and messed up our order. We didn't complain because that's not our style and figured we could let it slide. Today we went again passing back through town. The barista served me a luke warm latte and my wife's drink was the same. The food looks great and well presented but my muffin was tasteless. This place gets no play from us and we will never return. It's a facade of a real cafe and we will dissuade anyone from going as it ruined our mornings. No thanks. read more

Oh my gosh such a beautiful place and the service was really great for my family. Got the mango bowl, lumber jack burrito and usually when we go to places like this, it's just a standard tasting bowl/burrito. But this place? WAS SO GOOD. Impeccable. The bowl was So fresh, perfect portions of the toppings and tasted amazing. My husband said his burrito was really good he didn't even want to put the salsa on it. Eggs had actual flavor, not just egg taste.(that's all I had when he gave me one bite lol). read more

Amazing place! Huge menu, tons of food options, and great coffee. I liked the old place at the same location but this is even better!

My husband picked us up lattes from here today and some muffins! I got a lavendar honey oat milk latte, which is my fave type of latte. My husband got a caramel latte with extra espresso. He said his tested burnt, but he got his hot. I really enjoyed my latte, I ordered it iced and it didn't taste weird at all. The blueberry muffin was kinda stale and the chocolate one was a bit too chewy. Don't think I'll be getting a treat here again, but would definitely come back for the iced latte! read more

Used to go to this place when it was Breadcrafters in Paradise Valley. I was in town from Cottonwood and was looking forward to a good experience as before,. Sadly, this was not what happened. Its small, cramped with LOUD Hispanic music - so there's no chance to have a conversation in there. Had a very good sandwich, but service was SLOW and person behind the counter didn't speak very good ENGLISH. Pastries still look amazing but didn't opt for that because I just wanted to get out of there! Such a disappointment! We have great coffee shops here in Cottonwood that provide a much better experience! read more

Terrible food for the second time Employees blasting the music to the point we could not hear each other. I asked him to turn it down, and I said OK and then never did. I used to love Breadcrafters the last time I went there and before they closed I asked for my usual BLT extra crispy bacon it was super undercooked disgusting. I thought maybe the reopening of Cortada would be different women ordered the same thing asked for very crunchy bacon got undercooked bacon once again and potato salad that was full of fatty undercooked bacon, and loads of mayo. I will not be returning and would not recommend them . read more

I've spent the last two days throwing up after eating at this restaurant. We come here fairly often, but never again. The variety on the menu is impressive, but apparently you can't trust them to throw out food when it's past due. I had an orange juice from the cooler, and a Poblano Verde Bowl. It's been a miserable weekend! If could could give zero stars, I would. read more
