Great hidden coffee shop. Plenty of seat and a massive variety of drinks and snacks. We grabbed a fruit tart and I had a Pumpkin patch which was very good. Great little coffee shop vibe! Great for a girls morning to catch up.

Ordered Santa's cookie cold brew which was good, def on the sweeter side and had chunks of cookie in it- unique for sure but a little sweet for me. I went there specially to study and the music was pretty loud and there wasn't too much space, however they have outlets available so that's a plus!

A locals' spot that works well for a quick cup of coffee or a light bite. The morning I visited, the music was a bit loud and seating was limited. They offer a nice variety of pastries, both wrapped and under glass. They're ikely not baked that morning, but still enjoyable. I had a thick slice of pumpkin bread, which was moist and flavorful, along with a latte. While the coffee doesn't quite reach the level of third-wave shops like Press or Cartel, it's a perfectly good option if you're in the area and want something quick and convenient.

Stopped by after a work engagement. I desperately needed coffee to survive the rest of the day lol I ordered a banana toffee latte or something similar to that name. I don't think I've ever had anything like that, it was so creamy yet refreshing. The interior was super cute but is a super tightly filled space. I felt a teeny bit claustrophobic. The service was nice and quick!

I love local coffee and try to keep local beans on hand for my morning cup. That's what brought me to Cortado, well and the protein waffle! I ordered a cold brew with cream and the Nutella protein waffle. The coffee was pretty standard. The waffle is so good that you doubt that it should be called a protein waffle! And honestly, at 15 grams of protein it can't go head to head with a protein shake when it comes to macros, but it sure is more delish. It's a good treat! I selected a bag of beans from the back wall of the store. There were no prices marked, but I usually find the price consistent at other local coffee roasters. When they rang the coffee up for $28... I realized that this was one of those situations of 'if you need to ask the price then you can't afford it.' The staff was kind in response to my sticker shock. Like many of the neighborhood locals, I'll be back soon for brunch or a cold brew!

Cortado is the perfect place for a meetup with friends on a delightfully drizzly morning. The warm, inviting atmosphere with lots of wood paneling, table seating as well as upholstered conversational seating is great for small groups. There's an extensive drink menu with a variety of choices from seasonal coffees and matchas and standard hot and cold beverages. So many food choices for the hungry - breakfast sandwiches, avocado bagels and a vast array of baked goods. The glass cloches reveal so many tempting baked goods - cookies, bars, brownies and more. Come hungry and take some home to share! The BC in their name references the former Bread Crafters stores, missing their sandwiches? Now you have a good alternative! Ask them to dial down the sweetness level on any of the drinks, even at half sweet I had a sugar rush!

I walked in and was greeted by the barista who threw out a good morning while ringing someone up. The pastry case or table really is huge with so many sweet treats! I tried a pecan toffee bar and it was perfect blend of crunchy and smooth. This place has a lot of syrup options and drink concoctions if that's your thing! Plus a good amount of alternative milks (I saw pistachio milk listed!) I'm always happy when I see rose syrup on the menu, so I ordered a rose latte which was delicious. They had a ton of hearty food options as well (salads, toasts, burritos, and more) and I hope to come back to try a burrito. When I waited for my drink there was a constant stream of people coming in and the barista greeted every one of them. NOTE: when I went in on Monday morning it seemed the barista / cashier was the only one available to make drinks so be patient! I didn't wait longer than 5mins, but I could tell she cared bc she made sure to let each person know she'd be right with them- making a drink then serving a customer etc. The place has decent amount of seating inside but it is a bit of a tight fit, they offer outdoor seating too which I'm sure is nicer in the fall!

Stopped in to Cortado as this is close to my office and I was in need of caffeine. Their fresh baked goods is the first thing I smelled when walking in. They had just put out muffins that were still warm so of course I had to grab one. It was the morning glory muffin which think of carrot cake in muffin form. It was sooooo good. The gal working so super nice and allowed me time to decide on what to drink. They had so many choices! I opted for the praline sugar cookie latte which comes standard with almond milk. The coffee wasn't the best brew but also not the worst. I will definitely come back for some baked goods and grab another coffee!

The girls were super friendly. I placed my order through the website for pick up but they couldn't find it so they manually entered it and I waited as they made it. I got home and the sandwich was on the cranberry bread instead of focaccia so I brought it back and the girls again were very friendly but when I got my sandwich the second time it was still missing the balsamic vinaigrette and chipotle mayo on the sandwich like I asked. * Service was terrific, pleasant and efficient as they kindly brought my food to my car in the parking lot - my apologies ... (I forgot my mask) The avocado egg and tomato bagel was nicely prepared... Tasted fresh and was a unique breakfast option I wish King coffee the "best of luck" growing your business... I didn't realize they were nearby... After I waited 20 minutes in line for a drip coffee at Starbucks. Definite NO to their coffee. Tasted it like warm water with artificial syrups thrown in. I'm very particular about coffee and this place doesn't know what they're doing when it comes to making coffee or lattes. Had to throw out the horrible latte they made me and then drive to a better coffee place a few miles away to be able to get my coffee fix. Wasted enough time and money doing so. Very nice, hidden coffee chop I had no idea was in my community--stopped by during my prep hour. Found because I've been boycotting Starbucks for a month for Palestine . I ordered the matcha with white chocolate and it was really smooth and creamy, better than most matcha anywhere in north phx. I wanted to take the order to go but they gave it to me for dine in, I stayed a bit. Ate the green chili pork burrito. It was okay, but not worth $15. The coffee was around $5 for a small, which is actually a medium in SBUX size so it's worth it and better bang for your buck. Overall, I wouldn't buy food from here again unless it's under $10. Will maybe try the pastries when I come in next time. read more

Better known for their sandwiches and avo toasts. I would not recommend their acai bowl. Does not seem like they make it that often. The wait was pretty long and it was served in a smoothie cup. The fruit was still frozen and acai was watery. The coffee was decent but nothing too spectacular. I would probably get a bagel if I ordered again. The service was lacking as well. read more

So on the fence here on how to review Cortado. There were some things I really loved, but a bit that left me a little meh. The negative for me was the lack of service or even hello for the first few minutes I stepped inside. There was quite a few employees nearby and not one acknowledged me. I waited and thought maybe I was on the wrong spot. Once someone came to the register it got a bit better. She was friendly and although they were out of heavy whipping cream for a cold brew I was able to get a vanilla latte. I decided to order a bagel and cream cheese as well to sit and chill for a bit. Prices were good for the size. Once it was ready one of the girls brought it out to my table. I was shocked at the size of my large latte. It was brought out in a huge mason jar. HELL YEAH! My bagel was toasted perfect and both items were delivered on a cute board with a quote on each. I liked the unique touches. The location was good size, but a tad dark in some spots. It might have been the later time of day. I loved the art work all over the walls from local artists. Some very cool pieces and available for purchase. I'm a sucker for local coffee shops and even more for an artist as I am one myself. There is both inside and outdoor seating. After I sat for a bit and finished my food I brought my trays to the bar area and asked for a to go cup to put the rest of my coffee in. I don't know if one of the girls was having an off day, but she didn't seem to be too happy to help. She took my glass and handed it off for another person to do. All in all the coffee and bagel were good. The coffee had a smooth taste and not over sweetened with the vanilla. Once I was acknowledged the girl taking my order was happy and friendly. I'd definitely come back at-least one more time to update my review and maybe have a better first/last impression . read more

I just came for coffee so my review is based on that. I ordered a latte and a vanilla latte. The latte was average at best. The coffee was not smooth and had that floor taste reminiscent of starbucks. The vanilla latte tasted artificial and most likely used the cheap artificial pumpers that I usually go to coffee shops like this to avoid. The two coffees ran me $12 and honestly not worth half that. Looks wise the coffee shop was very ascetic, clean, and welcoming. It's a very cute spot and the food and pastries looked amazing. I'd imagine that is what warrants the high ratings this establishment received. Unfortunately I will not be back to try them as the coffee left a bad taste in my mouth and wallet. read more

I popped in with my dad on a Friday morning and really liked this spot! It's got a modern vibe and nice open space. Great music playing but isn't too loud, so you could hang out here and work if you wanted. They have some pastry/muffin options behind the glass as well as bagels, bagel sandwiches and I saw protein waffles listed on the board behind the counter. We both went with an egg, tomato and avocado bagel. They were really good! You pick which bagel you want them on. No frills but a really tasty breakfast. As for the drinks, they have coffee and tea listed on the wall above the register. My dad just got a black drip coffee and I grabbed an iced black tea. He can be pretty particular about coffee but really enjoyed his. I was pleasantly surprised by the tea too, it was strong enough and had great flavor. The girl working the register was friendly and available for any questions. Prices were reasonable too. For drinks, sandwiches and a tip for two it was under $20. I would definitely return and recommend checking this place out before you go to an average Starbucks or something similar. read more

My first time coming since I just bought a home walking distance from here! Well... walking distance when it is cooler- haha! The staff was super friendly especially the girl at the checkout who signed me up for the rewards program which is buy 9 and get one free! I'm excited to come here more often. I love that they have oat milk also and do roasting in house! My oat milk latte was smooth and strong. I loved that it wasn't too sweet. If you like it super sweet- ask for more, but standard is perfect for me! Masks required right now at register and counter but you can take it off while seated which is nice. My daughter doesn't like the smell of coffee apparently so she is keeping hers on. Insert eye roll here- one day she will understand the magic of caffeine and coffee! read more

Stopped for coffee and do some light reading. The ambience is comforting. Ordered the protein waffles with Nutella and washed it down with an Americano. If anyone knows me, I am picky and somewhat judgmental when it comes to coffee lol. But the Americano is good. Right strength and the beans are well balanced (unlike some coffee shops that like to burn their beans *cough starbucks *cough). And the workers here are great people. Slightly better than before... at least they have more pastries and things rather than just health muffins. Also glad it's not (quite) the grunge feel it use to be. But... felt even MORE crammed than it use to. Not a vibe conducive to staying for conversation and/or working alone. Not a fan. Love that there's a coffee shop in the neighborhood so I'm hoping they consider to the negative reviews so that they can survive and stick around. Simplify, modernize, and smile more haha would be my advice. read more

I can't believe it took me this long to stop in here! I have appointments in the offices behind King about twice or so a month. Boy have I been missing out. Kept my order simple this time, cold brew (black). Very tasty and average cost ($4.30ish for a large). The true stand out here though is it's people. SO FRIENDLY :) The inside is also very inviting with several seating options, and there are also options to sit outside. Which is nice if you have a dog or just want to enjoy the cooler temps. Will definitely be back to try something a bit more interesting next time. Maybe something to fit the season, like the vegan pumpkin spice! read more

Did not have food. No coffee menu. Latte was from 20 years ago. Thin no flavor in a styrofoam cup. Very disappointed. Should just focus on food and not try to do espresso. Service was courteous and friendly. Ambience was coffeehouse. Crowded but not objectionable. Don't come here for the lovely wonderful thick brown espresso experience. read more

First of all; they charge $.90 to add cream to their coffee! Second; the bagels are served cold with cream cheese yet they wrap them in foil as if they were hot!!? I am going to guess that they do NOT make the bagels and the bagel I got very well could have been from days ago. Third; the person that seemed to be in charge was not friendly and appeared to be annoyed that j was on the bakery. Never again! Fourth; $5.00 for a barely edible bagel! read more

This is our Breadcrafters which moved from Tatum to 32 and union hills! So good to find them. Great food bigger menu and larger place! They were open on new year's! What a treat. We always get the pork burrito and some Pastries. read more

Everything was great from the vibe to the food and the coffee! It is a small place so it's not for large groups, and there are only a few USB outlets so don't plan on an all day work session unless your laptop has really great battery life. The guy working the counter was new so I was happy to be a new customer that could ask questions and not feel rushed (like at other places). read more

I love a good roastery and try to find ones in the area i'm staying when I travel. The nice thing about this Yelp-unclaimed coffee shop? They also have a large enough food menu to find something you want to eat as well. From sweet to savory, breakfast to lunch, you can find something to enjoy. I've been here a couple of times and recommended it to others and we've all been impressed. The coffee is delicious. My daughter is partial to the cold brew with pumpkin cold foam but their food is excellent as well. If you're into veggie sandwiches they have one of the best ones that I've ever eaten. Can't believe we haven't been to this coffee shop and it's a 10 min bike ride away. The coffee is strong but smooth and they have really friendly staff. I somehow only discovered this place three days ago even though I live nearby and I've been here every day since! The coffee has such a great taste to it and the food is delicious too. I've tried a different lunch sandwich every day I've come and they've all been great! Additionally everyone working here has been so kind! I have yet to try any of their pastries but they look huge and delicious. read more

I also ask about their blueberry syrup in an iced latte and sometimes it's a yes and sometimes it's a no as they supposedly made an exact amount for every latte they sell. It becomes such a hassle as I don't like the syrup line they have (it has a sour after taste) so I try to stick with their house-made syrups. There is very limited options for coffee in the area so unfortunately I have to stick around arguing with the barista every now and again to get the latte order right.

This coffee shop is about half a mile from my residence. There is also a new Starbucks across the street. I like to support small businesses in my area so I went to King Coffee. Americano coffee had a sour taste. The strawberry Nutella waffle didn't come out right either. The lady that prepared it mentioned having issues with the waffle maker. Prices are same or higher than competitors. Overall I don't see any reason to pick this place over the Starbucks across the street read more

The food was really good and they have nice flavor taste so amazing. The avocado toast was pretty delicious and has good texture in every bite. It was perfect with my coffee. I also had Match coffee with pleasant flavor and great aroma. The place has cozy vibe with great setting. They have nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. read more

Delicious coffee! My first time and I can say that this is a solid coffee spot. Also ordered their avoado toast and they placed a good portion of avocado but was missing a touch of salt. I'll definitely be back again! read more
