I only get to visit this location when I'm in town for work and I can't get enough. I visit in the AM for my morning coffee and after lunch for a boost. Their seasonal drinks are always tasty and I looked forward to the new menu. My go to drink is a Royal Coke (Mexican coke on ice with an espresso shot poured over). Staff is nice and friendly. Randomly found this place after coming to the Biltmore Fashion Park for an appointment at Skin Laundry. Afterwards I hopped into Macys nearby to be inside the AC and could check the map for "cold drinks" near me. This spot popped up just around the corner. I give it a 4 stars. I drink a lot of coffee drinks from various coffee shops, and for comparison this wasn't amazing but good enough. It hit my requirements- nearby, COLD, slightly sweet, decent coffee flavor. The drink description says "vanilla cold foam" and this was not cold foam. I saw that it was steamed milk and turned to foam. Pretty much the opposite of cold foam. If they made their own cold foam this would have made the drink more unique. Could have been 5 stars if as described. Anyway, service was friendly and the small shop is cute. Gave me the hit of cold caffeine I was looking for. read more

I enjoyed this early morning visit, there was no one there so it was peaceful sitting outside under the umbrella drinking my pina colada lemonade. The barista was patient with me giving me options to try. They have so many options! The alternative milk they have is Almond and oat milk for all my nondairy lactose intolerance people. Last time I reviewed the actual Coffee Bar location inside the building. Now that they have been in the center of this outdoor shopping experience for a number of years, I feel that I need to update my review. The barista was quick to greet and very personable. My americano was made to perfection quickly and was extremely hot, which she warned me about as she gave it to me. I really enjoyed being able to walk around the shops with a great coffee in my hands. Fortunately, it cooled down before I burned my mouth. If you need a coffee fix when you are in this area, this is the place to go. read more

Stopped by today for a mocha! When I first got here there was a "be right back" sign, so I did have to wait a bit but it was only about 5 minutes of waiting. I ordered an almond milk mocha, hot. The barista was super nice and my drink was ready fast! The mocha did taste a little burnt and could've used a little more chocolate but otherwise good. Out of many options at 11:00 in the early afternoon. I wanted a matcha but they were out of their Matcha. Ok, I wanted a nitro brew, they were out. I opted for a cold brew, was told many sugar free options (was told raspberry, vanilla, caramel and hazelnut) but when it came time to make the drink there were only two: vanilla and hazelnut. They barista said he was new. The drink itself: cold brew w almond milk and 3 pumps sugar free vanilla. I would give this 3 out of 5. The cold brew was extremely bitter and tasted a bit stale. Very disappointed and probably will not return, especially when the price point is greater than most coffee houses. read more

Service was terrible. Came in on Tuesday, 1/15. The young man was extremely rude and when asked how they made their matcha he seemed annoyed and replied with "powdered". OH MY YUMMINESS!! This coffee bar is tucked in the perfect corner at the Biltmore Shopping Center for all to enjoy. The smell of fresh roasted coffee beans are so enticing, it almost makes you impatient for your order. The gentleman that was working the bar by himself was amazing! He would have five different orders and he would make them all perfectly. The coffee, oh the coffee is amazing even decaffeinated!! We had an amazing experience at royal coffee bar. It is located in between shops at the mall in a nice outdoor courtyard. This is a great spot to stop and enjoy a coffee or tea. I ordered a small iced coffee with almond milk and it was delicious! The employee was following all COVID restrictions and the service was quick and kind. There is a huge outdoor area to relax and drink your coffee or even to sit and do some work. There is also the cutest little bar attached to the stand to sit at. Personally, I enjoyed a nice stroll around the mall with my coffee to enjoy the nice Phoenix weather in March. read more

After a great dinner at Pomo, I was strolling down the mall and really liked the look of Royal Coffee Bar. They also have tea and I had a delicious Cactus Blossom(prickly pear)fruit tea. Came with girlfriends and tried a variety of specialty coffees. Vanilla matcha latte, honey lavender latte, Queen's Garden. I had my usual vanilla latte. The guy serving us was a one man show and did an amazing job of taking orders, conversing and preparing our drinks. He told us he feels the espresso is good and he was right. After having a remarkably bad flat white at a different coffee shop in the morning, I wasn't really expecting to have another coffee drink for the rest of the day. After talking with the barista from Royal Coffee though, I decided to give it another (Espresso) shot. Maybe this would be my chance at getting some flat white redemption! Flat white isn't listed on the menu but the barista was very knowledgeable about them and had many as his beverage of choice in the past. For milk alternatives they offer almond, soy and coconut milk. Almond and coconut milk are recommended if you want to get the flat white; I went with almond milk. When I got my drink it had a decent foam. It was better than the flat white I had in the morning but still had some lingering acidity/bitterness unfortunately. It looked a bit messy too with the dribbly coffee stain running down the cup when it was delivered to me. My favorite flat white so far in the Phoenix area is from Infusion Coffee. Such a good latte! But Royal is hard to find, so bear with me. Park your car then head to Lululemon or White House Black Market, and the tiny stand will be right across. I got a hot oat milk lavender latte and it was delicious. Very smooth and silky, and not too sugary from the flavor syrup. They have a whole series of flavors, either syrup or milk-based. It's also got a bunch of seating outside all around the stand, so definitely check it out if you're walking around the Biltmore shopping area. read more

Royal is a staple walk-up coffee shop in the center of the Biltmore shopping area, right next to Mac, Lulu Lemon and Macys. The service is pretty quick, usually takes about 2 minutes to get a drink. Love their plain oat milk iced lattes and spicy chai tea lattes, especially as a dirty chai. They also have a good variety of holiday drinks for fall and winter. It's also nice to chill on the benches and tables in their surrounding area. Definitely one of my favorite coffee places in the area! read more

In search for the perfect cup of espresso, I decided to give this place a try for my afternoon coffee. I didn't realize that I could have ordered and drunk my Royal coffee on the inside of the mall (Union shops?) until I walked around to the other side and saw the other option. Instead, I had my coffee by the red door. As for the actual coffee, I ordered a medium in a ceramic cup, but apparently the cups were only in two sizes: small and large, which presented a dilemma. The barista stated that she usually makes a medium in the small cup and charges the small price. I was fine with that, as she also said that all the drinks are made with two shots. I do like my espresso to start out hot rather than lukewarm, so it was hard to gauge the taste but think it might have been a tad weak for my taste even with the smaller size and the double shot. read more

Update! This coffee bar is now in the middle of the Biltmore at more of a 'stand' type setting with tables and chairs surrounding it. It is a fabulous spot to sit and visit with friends, people watch, reads, work, etc. in the cooler months but in the summer time, this may not be the 'coolest' place to hang! I sat here and worked with my pup over the holidays and we had so much fun! I got a ton of work done and we met lots of people + Harvey soaked up all of the attention and lovin'. We'll be back before the heat wave comes on, that is for sure! Their coffee is still tasty, as expected. My go-to is a double nonfat vanilla latte with almond milk (hot or iced, whatever i'm feeling that day!). If you're hungry, a Short Leash Hot Dog stand is right next door too! read more

I love these little pop up shops that Phoenix has. I'm always looking for new coffee houses etc and so I was pleasantly surprised to see this location while waiting for my daughter to get off work so we could get dinner. Cute outdoor seating and a life size chess game that you could play while drinking your coffee or tea. Great coffee flavor and service was wonderful. I will say I do love the location off 7th st more for their brighter colors and indoor seating. Again, great coffee though which is what I was looking for. This place has really gone down hill. It used to be a cute coffee shop with nice employees and great coffee and pastry. I used to go daily when i work tomorrow in the mall, then i moved away. I moved back and started working in the mall again and was happy to see that Royal was still there. But it's not the same. All this time, I thought it was getting Royal coffee just to find out they're using Lavazza beans, and then pastries are from Costco!!!!!!! You can't even see into the refrigerator to see if they have any drinks because it's all covered by this art that looks like a child drew the art. Then The tall kid with the red sweater that seems to work every day it's not the nicest and doesn't make the best coffee I complained to him that the coffee was did not taste good and it gave me an attitude just because I wanted it to be rain made.
